Professional until they weren't. Got a quote I approved it and said go ahead with the project. They came by for a 2nd measurement asked why do I want permits because what i wanted couldn't be done do to restrictions. I said ok do whst you can and waited for an updated qoute, never heard back. We had both rain gutters and a patio cover installed. The product itself are great. The process of getting it wasn't great. The person that handled the removal and restall if our pavers was slow and didn't leave thw finished product looking as it did before he started, he had to come back and redo one area. The workers had no respect for the residents personal property. Using our furniture to sit in while working, leaving wood and tools laying on plants and shrubs. They didn't clean up trash, they swept everything into our planters, including the sand from the pavers. They came inside to handle the electrical for the patio cover with no gloves on, therefore leaving black hand prints on the walls. They left our patio covered in metal shavings and never cleaned it off. The owner was scheduled to come out on Monday morning to replace a switch They fried, gave me a time and never showed. Maybe this is the new normal for having work done at our home, but I was not pleased for the disregard of my time and property . read more

We've been wanting to replace our patio cover from wood to aluminum & install gutters. After shopping around for a few months, we decided to go with JH Construction, Riverside. If you're still shopping around, I'll save you the time, STOP, just go with JH Construction for patio cover and gutter installation, I did my shopping around for several weeks and got mostly similar price ( off by $100-200), Jeff quoted me slightly cheaper so I was sceptical at first, then I researched their company and was impressed at how good their reviews were, so I decided to commit to them, I was surprised that Jeff is not pushy at all with any other service they provide, I ended up getting gutter installed as well, none of the other vendor asked about adding electrical outlet as well for the patio, all in all I got a better price and have an electrical outlet that I didn't think off to get. Process went very smoothly, permitting was just a few days here in Eastvale, JH Const only pass on the fee, nothing extra, then Jeff communicated very well how each step was going to be, they just finished the installation Today, they were very punctual, Justin and his crew were very very professional and knows exactly what they're doing, I'm a very handy person so I would know if they're cutting corners or doing a sloppy job, worksmanship was excellent, I was at ease with the whole process. After having our wood patio for 30 years, and having to deal with painting it every few years, and fixing it every now and then, it was time to get rid of it, and have a new Patio for our backyard. My wife and I decided for the new Alum wood patios, this way we don't have to deal with rotted wood any longer. Since I had luck with contactors that did home service for us thru YELP search, I decided to research for a Patio contractor using YELP. I picked up 4 contractors for an estimate, all 4 contractors had 5 stars reviews on YELP. I finally decided to have Jeff with J H Construction to do the work. Even though Jeff's estimate was few hundred dollars more than the other 3 contactors, but I felt that he is the person I can trust. The reasons I trusted Jeff with the job are: 1- Professional and Knowledge: Jeff took the measurement, outlined exactly how the Patio look will be, showed us the options available, answered all my wife questions, and all my questions, and I sensed in him that he will not do shortcuts like the other contactors wanted to do. One contactor wanted to attach the patio to the Eave wood instead of the wall stucco, because it is easier to do that, not with Jeff, he explained that the Patio should be attached to the stucco of the house, more work, but it is the correct way. 2-Honesty: I sensed honesty in Jeff, he did not even take a penny until the job was completed. On the day of Installation Jeff dispatched his crew, the foremen Justin, the Electrician Sam, and the helper Ken. They came early in the morning worked till 6PM, and the next day Sam came to do the final touch up that took only about 1 hour. 3-Integrity: Jeff gave me 10 years part and Labor warranty, the other contactors were talking 1 year warranty, even one of the contractors want to sell us 5 years warranty for an extra $1000, not with Jeff, there was no extra fee for the 10 years parts/labor warranty. 4-Willigness to work with our request: We wanted our Patio little different, part Lattice and part solid roof, Jeff was willing to do that, other contractors refused.
