They have a cute little dog washing station too, a novel idea for car wash places! I have seen dogs being washed here. The staff here were friendly and the gentleman explained to me that I just need to use the clear coat protectant after the colorful polish. This place had more options than I was used to! So pull up, tap the card on the machine, get a receipt, then pull forward to the attendant who marks off the receipt. It's pretty simple. My old car wash closed so that's why I had to use this one (also out of curiosity) and that's why I was used to getting my car on the track and putting the car in neutral so that it gets pulled through the wash. What I found surprising was how thorough the car wash washed my car. And unlike my old car wash, it doesn't leave excess water or soap on the books and crannys of my car. I didn't have to wipe it dry a lot like I did with my old car wash. The principal issue with this car wash is that it is REALLY far away from where I live. It's a 30 minute drive in no traffic minimum. I guess it's good that I only need to wash my car once a month. Usually.

When we told the attendant this, he went into the wash and found the part immediately, but said that this happens daily!! He walked out with a second car mirror as well! The employees are cordial and helpful (and it can't be that great a job!), and the wash itself always works as it should. My concern, and the reason for leaving off a two stars, is that too often lately the vacuum hoses on some of the vacuums are not working or, as it happened today, are on the ground, not even connected to the vacuum. While not the end of the world, I do pay quite a bit for an annual pass and expect that if and when a vacuum is not working properly, for whatever reason, they would do their best to fix it immediately. It's frustrating to pull into a drying/vacuuming spot only to discover that one or both of the hoses does not work. It seems to me that this type of malfunction would be at the top of the consistent problems for a car wash, especially when SO many patrons use the vacuums each day and therefore, they would anticipate the need to solve the problem right away, and the solve it. Yet, my experience is the opposite. One solution I have is to go out to the brand new SJ's in Santee with it's lovely new and not-yet-broken hoses. A little out of my way, but with less of the frustration.

Well, the strategic planning team at Soapy Joe's must be watching my every move because like a moth to a flame, I was quick to make my way just a hop, skip, and a jump to wash the beast. Sure, she's an old dog, but Joe makes her clean up well. I have no idea how old this operation is but I really love that they're everywhere and I know exactly what I'm going to get. I stopped by on Monday afternoon 07/27/2026 at 3:18 (see photo) because I had some time before an appointment down the street. This location is smaller, but I didn't expect that to translate into such a poor experience. As I was getting ready to receive my air freshener, my driver's window wasn't fully down like it normally is at other locations. I'm not sure why, but before I even had the air freshener in my hand, my car was rushed into the wash. I didn't have time to roll up my window, and my car wasnt even close enough to be in neutral, so I couldn't do anything. As a result, water and cleaning solution sprayed into my car, soaking me, my driver's seat, and my phone, which was sitting on my lap. I was furious, but I stayed polite and focused on making sure I didn't roll into the car in front of me. All the attendant said was "oh let me know when ur in neutral." Really?!? That's it?!? I had to go straight to my appointment completely soaked, along with the inside of my car. When I came out afterward and tried to plug in my phone, it had issues charging because it had gotten wet during the wash. This entire situation was completely avoidable!!! Staff should ensure customers are actually ready before sending vehicles into the wash. It felt rushed, careless, and showed a lack of attention to customer safety and property. I will never return to this location and hope management provides better training so this doesn't happen to someone else. You've been warned.,.use this soapy joes at ur own risk!!!
