We deeply appreciate him and the incredible community he has built. We recently hosted a birthday party at Ji Sung Taekwondo, and it was one of the best decisions we could have made. Master Sahar, Miss Joy, and Esther exceeded every expectation and completely impressed both the children and parents in attendance. Within just an hour, the kids learned technique, discipline, and respect - and by the end of the party, each child successfully broke their own wooden board. It was such a meaningful confidence-building experience, and the children left feeling proud, empowered, and excited. When our children attended their first trial class, my four-year-old daughter was extremely shy and hesitant to leave my arms or step onto the mat independently. By the very next class, she confidently ran onto the mat on her own, and at home she now responds to my requests with, "Yes, ma'am!" every single time. It is absolutely adorable and makes me incredibly proud. At Ji Sung Taekwondo, you can expect "world class" training from our three time world champion Master Kim and the other instructors. Our boys have trained with Master Kim since 2018 and our boys would not be where they are right now if it weren't for his guidance. The classes are fun yet challenging. Master Kim and the other instructors are always finding ways to make the classes fun. They challenge the kids to push themselves so they can improve. It's amazing to watch these kids grow more confident and stronger in their practice. As a parent, it feels so rewarding when your kids are dedicated to their sport and love going to class. This review is for my 7 yr old daughter: - we enrolled my daughter in the Clayton Taekwondo studio first, and Master Kim and his colleagues opened another studio in Walnut Creek. We are now attending the WC location. - happy the studio is expanded and my daughter is getting individualized attention. - there are 2 studios here and the staff as well as the students and parents have been phenomenal, it's like a family! - Master Kim continues his mentoring and challenging kids of all ages to do the best they can at learning and respecting each other. - both Clayton and WC studios are wonderful and I couldn't be more happy my 7 yr old has been with Master Kim since she was 4.5 yrs old. - of course with any sport, parents wonder about safety, and Ji Sung has been a excellent at taking care of the kids. - highly recommended and I recommend Ji Sung to my friends. read more

We enrolled our 5yo in taekwondo a little less than a year ago and he's been super engaged and dedicated (and says that when he grows up, he's going to be a tkd teacher). He always has big smiles in his classes, and his teacher Miss Sahar is a gem - incredible with kids and so much fun. The kids all love her and Master Kim too. It's allowed him to set some goals for himself - long term goals such as wanting a black belt, and shorter term goals like the next belt test. He's still pretty uncoordinated but the teachers are very patient, and he's learning to learn. read more

I am a father of two boys who goes to Ji Sung Taekwondo, it's been about 6 months. As a Korean, it was quite tough to find the legit Taekwondo place easy. However Ji Sung Taekwondo is real Taekwondo studio that not only good for the Taekwondo skill and training, but also great for the discipline and Korean culture. The master Kim and all the staffs are amazingly kind and skillful, the atmosphere of the studio is always positive and energetic. Also they have various class for all the different ages as well.
