The staff are friendly but there is definitely a language barrier.

I got Tylenol #3 with codeine, a muscle relaxer and a shot of anti-inflammatory and minor pain reliever - I drove myself so you know it was mild. That night the pain was so bad I couldn't sleep!!! I realized I needed a good massage therapist. I came to Yelp of course because this is the best way to find anything. I had a one hour deep tissue massage with Rebecca today. If I just would have started with her at the first sign of pain I could have saved myself money and time and tears. Rebecca knows what she is doing and it is exactly what I needed. She also gave me a lot of suggestions for things I could do to make this better. The price was very reasonable and she said they don't accept tips. They would rather you come get the therapy you need without worrying about the price with tip. Guess I'll need to bake something for her. :) If you are still reading this you obviously need a massage therapist and I've written over 100 reviews on Yelp so I'm asking you to trust me and go to Advanced Massage Therapy. I saw Rebecca but others speak highly of the other MT too so you'll be good with either.

Both Pam and Rebecca are amazing. They know exactly how to get the knots out and loosen tight muscles. I have never left unsatisfied. If I could go every day I honestly would. They even give you suggestions for stretching if a certain area is bothering you do to not enough stretching. I have shoulder/neck issues and lower back (at times). They are always on point and leave me feeling like a well oiled machine. You can't go wrong with either one of them. Highly recommend.

What I am not happy about is having to see a nurse practitioner every few months. If she doesn't have an opening, you don't get further massages until you see her first. Also I am legally blind but still have some vision. In the Flower Mound location, the waiting area is filled with light but as soon as the door to the hallway opens and your name is called, you walk into a dark hallway. When I would have to quickly explain I'm visually impaired -they did not really assist me. One therapist had lowered her bed all the way to the floor and as I walked in there was no bed and I was completely lost. She couldn't figure how to turn the lights up so I could get my bearings. The therapy rooms smelled great and the massage table was clean and comfortable. She expertly spent time on the areas that were problematic and checked in with me frequently to make sure the pressure was good. Happy to say that I'm sleeping on my bed again with no pain. Today I finally bit the bullet and gave Jin's massage a call. Luckily they had an opening to fit me in today. When I got there, Jen had a quick paper for me to fill out regarding massage and overall medical history/issues. She took me right back and the hour flew by before I knew it. I immediately felt a difference in my back and shoulders from the tense knot they came in as to the much improved unknotted forms. She did warn me that I would probably be sore for about 48 hrs after and I am starting to feel the effects of that a bit. But it definitely wouldn't stop me from returning!
