Was told oil change would take 45mins. At an hour and a half I asked how much longer and was met with the worst attitude from Devon and his milkshake drinking partner, didn't get her name. Then he wouldn't check me out so it would take longer. As I was leaving milkshake girl sarcastically said, "have a nice day". Wow! Don't go here unless you want to wait twice as long and catch the rudest workers. read more

I started on Tuesday the 27th. I was told because I had just had a repair that my sensors weren't cleared on my computer. The man told me to travel all the way down to Provo and back onto Geneva Road trying to keep a steady speed of 50 miles an hour. He was very kind and friendly and said we would just run it again. I came the 29th and was told I failed again, hadn't driven far enough. This was a different man, medium height, reddish brown, short beard and hair. Who then informed me that was my last chance that you only get 2 tries and I wouldn't get another and would have to pay again. Bait and switch. I came in with a coupon that said 24.99 for signature service oil change with conventional oil. That's the only service I agreed to and the only one they performed. Came out of over $45 with hidden fees. "Shop fee" and they charged me for the filter. read more

So I came in for my emissions test and my battery had just died so the computer wasn't ready to test yet. They had told me to come back for a retest and so I did. They said it still wasn't ready. So I went back the next day after driving 100 miles and they wanted to charge me 45 dollars again. I said no and went to the Jiffy Lube in highland and they did it for free and it was under 5 minutes. I will now always make the longer drive to highland because they know true customer service. read more

I really don't want to sound entitled or unreasonable. I came in for an emissions test, which to my understanding is an under 5 minute ordeal. But I waited for 2 hours. I do understand that delays happen, that there are customers in front of me, etc. Although, they told me that the guy that can run the test is stuck working on some brakes. Is there not someone who can work on the brakes momentarily while he runs the test? Or could the brakes not be delayed 5 minutes? Especially because that customer is here. (Which I know because the other people waiting with me and I have becomes friends in our long wait). If I could offer a suggestion, the processes that are short can be intermixed in the ones that take long. That way you get the short customers out of the way quickly and leaving lest people waiting for you. read more

The service people were very kind and friendly but! they were condescending and dishonest they said they filled my tire pressure they did not the said they cleaned my windows there was a single streaky circle they said my brakes didn't need to be changed for a few months though I could hear the metal scraping they charged me extra and took 5 hours even though i was 2nd in line. I came in for an oil change and a squeak on my Dodge Charger. The squeaking happened after replacing my oil pressure sensor myself so I knew I must've done something wrong. The shop manager Zach quickly took a look at my car personally and saw that the serpentine belt was routed incorrectly. He fixed it in less than five minutes and didn't even charge me for the serpentine belt fix! They were working during a holiday as well (Halloween) and were still cheerful and a pleasure to work with. Thanks you guys for taking care of me! read more

This jiffy lube is consistently fast. The JL by Macey's is slower and they don't understand throughput. (The emissions guy was at lunch and the car in front of me was emissions. They 'couldn't' do anything til the guy got back from lunch. I came over here to the American Fork JL. They got me in and out. read more

I would not recommend Jiffy Lube and especially this location to anyone!! My daughter went in for a simple oil change and walked out with a $94.36 charge... I spoke to the manager (I believe Zack) on the phone prior to the service and was quoted a price of $82.99 less a $20 coupon so the total should have been around $62.99 my daughter gets home and it's definitely not what was quoted over the phone. $16.99 charge for a oil filter on top of the $82.99 oil change/service and and additional $8.00 for .80 quart of extra oil??? Come on Jiffy Lube, these are bad profits and nothing more than nickel and diming and taking advantage of your customers. I have NEVER been charged for an oil filter when getting oil changes..I even managed a car wash and oil change shop while in college. NEVER did we charge for an oil filter. I called back in and got all kinds of excuses of why the charge was more and was told that's what it cost... he did offer a $20 refund if my daughter came back in.. well who wants to go back in after being bamboozled, I may have but my daughter and wife sure weren't about to. Poor training on behalf of Jiffy Lube, and the franchise owners of this specific location. Manager was not professional in the way he handled the situation and phone skills. Definitely taking advantage of young girls and women that aren't experienced when it comes to car maintenance,.. Find somewhere else to have your oil changed or change it yourself, but Do Not use Jiffy Lube. Unfortunately...It's all about the bottom line.. not about the customers... very unethical business practices. And you wonder why oil change shops get a bad wrap.... clean it up and be honest. Nice staff- but there's a reason. Typical emissions tests in Utah county cost $25. They charged me $40. My air filter replacement costs $8 on Amazon. They charged me $40 to replace!!! My last oil change with jiffy lube was just $82.99 what they charge for full synthetic, now on this bill it included a $16 oil filter. I needed my tires rotated as well and they charged me an extra $5 because they had to drive my car out of the oil change stall and into the tire rotation stall. Normally $18.99 when you drive into the tire stall on your own, they charged me $24.99. Sad to say I got played today. Just cause they're nice doesn't mean they're not screwing you. read more

First off I love Jiffy Lube and I've been bringing my vehicles to them for 19 years. I'm Army so I relocate often but I love getting overpriced oil changes from jiffy lube. Came here for new breaks, oil change and a transmission service at about 4:30pm by the way. Took over an hour. After doing my oil change and telling me the transmission flush machine is broken it's 6pm so they tell me to come first thing in the morning and they'll manually do the transmission and breaks. 8am I show up and I'm told they can't do my transmission because the machine is broken and he can't do it manually. Disappointing and a waste of time, just do what you say you're going to do. Break price starts at 199.00 so that's fine. They don't tell you what the price will officially be until after they're done. For my front breaks only to replace pads and rotors totaled at 528.74. Mind you I spent 132.59 for an oil change the day before. I live 60 seconds from this location so I'm irritated but I bring my wife's Kia right after to replace the blinker. They replace the light and tell me it's not working and I have an electrical problem. I take it to Kia in AF and they fixed the blinker and told me Jiffy Lube left it unplugged. This jiffy lube is by far the worst I've ever experienced and I've used them in six different states at about 13 different locations. I found a transmission shop to service my transmission afterwards but it was a definitely a long overpriced couple of days. read more

UPDATE: Took my car to a proper mechanic and he found that my engine coolant was 1/2 gallon low because they didn't put the hose back in when they filled it. Message me on Yelp. I will personally help you find a better mechanic to avoid these guys. To recap, the scratched my car and didn't put it back together properly. There are other great mechanics and oil change places nearby, choose one of those. These guys damaged the hood of my car, denied it, refused to let me watch the surveillance video, and then told me they wouldn't even refund my $50 inspection. I've included a picture of the scratch. The Incident: I took my car here for both a windshield chip repair and a safety inspection. When I first arrive the service came right out to meet me and I thought we were good to go. The Issue in greater detail: Upon returning to my car I noticed a huge, deep scratch across the hood, consistent with something being dragged across. I brought this to the gentleman's attention and he insisted they didn't do it and they would never have been over the hood in anyway. When I asked how then they fixed the chip in the windshield, he said they lay a towel down, lean on it, and repair the chip. I suggested this towel may have had a metal shaving in it and was dragged across the hood. He insisted it did not and said he watched the videos. I asked if I could watch them with him to potentially identify any moments. He said he wouldn't let me watch them. He said it would take too long, but the test time showed that the total interaction with my car was a little under 5 minutes. I suggested that the scratch could be buffed, which they said they didn't do, and I asked if my $50 inspection could be refunded to go get the car buffed, which he said he would not. The people here are nice, but they are dishonest and won't take responsibility for any harm they do. There have been several other incidents in the news about this same thing. My opinion, there are plenty of other qualified shops nearby, including one right next door. Go to one of those, save yourself the hassle and avoid the risk. At the very least, just go find a different Jiffy Lube location. There are several nearby. read more

My wife went in here the other day for an oil change. They did not ask her what she wanted to have done, but instead performed the work they thought was best and then simply told her what was done and gave her a bill. We wanted a conventional oil change, but they gave her a high mileage oil change at over double the cost without asking her first. We've gone here in the past and had ok experiences, but this is the first time I've felt they tried to take advantage of us. I wouldn't recommend this location. read more

These people are so dirty, dis honest and crooked. They told me the price was 84.00 then told me it was 94.00 because I needed one extra quart of oil. When I got the bill it was 151.00. I was told it was because I needed more oil than thought. When I told them I was told it was a lower price he said I lied about that. I will never ever go here again- neither should you! read more

Second attempt to have a good experience at the AF Jiffy Lube. Last time (Dec 2016) I was stuck in the freezing waiting room 54 degrees with a Mom and three little ones and two other customers with NO HEAT, no space heater nothing. I saw the hot chocolate mix and thought that could help, no the hot water spout is broken. Topping off both these faux pas, the bathroom door was LOCKED with these poor little kids writhing around the room. Now for the second attempt, I need my coolant topped off. I have now been sitting here 40 minutes to top off coolant....literally people have come and gone since I pulled my car up to the service bay. I asked the person organizing work and he said another 15 minutes to ţop off my fluid. At least there's popcorn in the balmy 72 degree waiting room, but still no hot chocolate (and yet another customer coming after me is being checked out.....) I am in Jiffy Lube hell. How does my story end? I was given my car an hour after I drove up. Since no one had approached me about the coolant level I asked. The person holding the door asked the employee behind him who pronounced the coolant level fine. Leaving I found my engine showing high heat. I pulled over at a garage within 5 minutes of leaving Jiffy Lube where they topped off my coolant with 3/4 of a bottle.....double check any fluid before you leave! read more

Best staff there is! We are so pleased with the Jiffy Lube in American Fork. It has been a breath of fresh air coming to get all services done to our vehicles. We have a small motorhome as well and at other places, we have had a hard time finding a place that we trust to take this. But here we found Mike to be trustworthy and great at his job! Asked to have oil checked and topped off. Pulled my car in and waited inside the car because you know that should take 5 minutes. The next available tech would be right with us we were told. While we're waiting, they're just walking around. One guy opened the over head 3x, no reason, bored I guess. They pulled another vehicle in and started to work on it while we are still just sitting here observing the lack of hustle and efficiency. What a joke. It's isn't even busy. 30 minutes later . . . Avoid this place if at all possible. Super slow and provided little to no customer service. After wards I had oil all over my engine compartment, had left one screw to my air filter completely undone, stripped out another air filter screw head. I have never had a worse experience getting my oil changed ever. It also took over an hour from the time I arrived until I drove off. read more

Not only did they break my PCV line checking my air filter, which is a K&N and they didn't need to be checking it, they wanted to charge me to fix it. It was not busted when I took it in there. I told them I would take care of it, and come to find out they busted the piece the line connects to. That part cost me $50 and while I was fixing that I found out they busted the gas purge solenoid, I don't know what the heck they were doing under there but that oil change cost me over $100 dollars just in parts. Avoid these guys like the plague. In fact because of them I will never use Jiffy Lube again. read more

We sat around listening to them try to upsell every customer filters and things they probably didn't really need at ridiculous prices. read more

Terrible customer service. Got my safety inspection and it took over an hour when no one else was in line in front. They said my rear brakes failed and to bring it back to finalize the inspection. They said it would take 5 min. I brought it back and waited over an hour. Finally left and took it to a reputable place. I will never go here again. read more

Terrific Jiffy Lube. We had our windshield wipers replaced with superior quality blades and 2 weeks after during a rainstorm one of the blades flew off my car. i went back to this location and told them what happened and he put a new one on for me (no charge). they have always completed our oil changes in a timely manner and we have never had a problem with them. read more

Horrible service. Go anywhere but here.. I called in advance told them the year make and model of my truck for a belt replacement, I had my own belt. They told me a price and said they could do it, to top it off there wasn't supposed to be a wait. I waited 1 hour before they even touched my truck. When they finally got to my truck they said oh wait it's going to be triple the money they quoted me. AFTER I waited 1 hour.. Don't give them your service. read more

I love my dealer and have stayed away from Jiffy Lube for a decade. That was until I went to the JL in American Fork. The customer service is amazing, moral is high, they don't guilt you into added replacements. Most importantly they treat you as a customer and not a novice. I recommend this JL over the others. read more
