I went to the Jiffy lube on my lunch break because they advertise 15 minute oil change service. Of course I expected to be there a little bit longer but did not expect 2 hours. The customer service and maintenance is great. No complaints there however the service time is SLOW! When I arrived I was next in line. The guy greeted me and took my keys and led me to the office to wait. After an hour and 45 mins later when the car finished he the. took Al my information. One of the little lights came on again, and since I've been driving so much, going back and forth to LA, I came here to check things out during my lunch hour. They just checked all the fluids, added more windshield wiper fluid, put air in the tires- very quickly. August 26, Paid $150 for A/C repair. Turns out at the end of the day they didn't check for any leaks before they decided to recharge my car. They took my car without my consent to a different Jiffy lube that was miles away because they didn't have the right equipment to recharge my car. Had to wait for an hour and a half. Made me almost pay $170 just to charge me more when I told them that the original price on their board says $140 for an A/C recharge. The A/C did not blow cool air after charging me for their "A/C Repair". Total rip off could've done it the right way but no. read more

Friendly and fast. Big on up sale. Tried getting me to use synthetic oil "your car requires synthetic" not true!!!! That is a HUGE up sale scheme by oil chains. If I were lazy with my oil changes than yes synthetic which means instead of changing oil every 3k miles I would do it every 7k miles. They wanted $40 to do a simple oil change. I got them down to $30 after I asked to leave and laughed in the guys face. This place is great if you have no idea about cars but beware you might be being played a fool. I took automotive tech in college and was taught and have seen all the dirty little tricks used to get people to buy. Buyer beware, do it yourself oil changes are around $15, $20 at Pepboys down the road. Not a fan of Penzoil either works great on tractors though. I guess I paid extra for being lazy. read more

I had a unique problem in my 2000 Grand Caravan, I have had a leaking oil pressure sending unit. Replaced it for the second time in 3 months last Sunday morning, drove the van to Fresno and came back from Fresno on Wednesday night, about 256 miles round trip. Thursday morning at 10:00 am I had an appointment at Memorial hospital. When I came out to the parking lot I noticed a fair sized puddle of oil under my car right where the sending unit is located. I checked the oil and it was low. The only thing that could leak oil like that besides the sending unit would be the oil filter or the oil filter seal so I Googled for oil change place nearby. Wow only 1.2 miles from a Jiffy Lube at 401 N. Chester Ave. I called and spoke with Nick I explained my problem and asked if they could change my oil because you always get a new filter in the process. I asked if they had the time to help me. "Sure", Nick said, "there's only one person ahead of you and we're almost done with her car". Both mechanics (Nick and Ken) ask me if they could look at the problem first before just changing my oil. They wanted to be sure the oil change would completely remedy my problem. They started the van and went into the pit to check for a leak. They found that the oil filter was fine, no leaks at all, but the sending unit was leaking again. Nick and Ken explained that they could change it out for me but they really wanted me to give the original repair shop that had just changed it a chance to make it right for me. I thought to myself how professional and respectful that their attitude was toward the other shop. I agreed with that plan and decided that was what I would do. This is not where the story ends. Nick had Ken fill my car with the proper oil but in a high mileage oil, because it is a little thicker and would slow the leak slightly (giving me more time to get to the original repair shop). Nick also gave me a quart container of the oil to take with me as well, in case my car ran low before I got across town to the original repair shop. I thanked them and asked them for a bill, at least for the oil they had put in my van, but they refused to charge me. They only asked one thing of me. If I felt that I had been treated fairly to just tell my friends about them, so I am. It's nice to be treated so well when it was very obvious I was in a spot to be taken advantage of. So even though I am 70 years old and probably look like an easy mark and was truly in a pickle I am glad to say I had a wonderful experience there and have found my new oil change specialists from here on out. They told me they were changing my drum breaks in the back and my front brakes and they only changed the front and charged me for both!!!!!!! These people are scam artists! When my husband called in to deal with it the managers response was that, the guy who did it was fired??? Are you serious? Also, the review about the switched contract is inaccurate because there is no way you could leave the paper in the car while it is being worked on. So this Jiffy Lube location is supposed to open at 8 a.m. We arrived at 8:10 a.m. and the gentlemen working there were just unlocking the doors. We waited until the doors were open and it took until 8:20 a.m for us to be acknowledged and asked what we needed help with. We just needed a top off. The person topped off our oil, which was great. We then asked to have the coolant topped off. We were told that would cost extra. It didn't cost extra in Dayton, Ohio or in Tulsa, Oklahoma so we were a bit confused. The man also did not check our tires or window washing fluid. Two stars because the top off wasn't actually completed and because the shop opened 20 minutes late. read more
