0/5 for trustworthiness, pricing, and timeliness. I went in for an oil change, and was given an estimate of various other suggested services. While listing the optional service prices, the technician told me a few "sticker" prices, and then the lower amount that he would do it for (upon checking pricing later at home, a few of the "lower" amounts were still regular JL pricing). I selected the services I wanted, signed the estimate, and was told that my car would be ready in 30-45 minutes. After leaving the paperwork in the car and walking home, I received the call to come pick up my car 2.5 hours later. When I arrived to pick up the car, the technicians were not still not done with it. A different technician informed me that one of the optional services I was told my car couldn't live without (serpentine belt replacement) could not be completed because my "engine is weird" and that I should go to another shop that "does those types of services." While I realize that belt/hose replacements are easy money, and therefore one the most upsold/oversold service, it is unnerving to tell a person that their car may not make it out of the parking lot without this repair... but that it can't be fixed here, after all. (If they weren't replacing the belt, what on earth took so long?) During checkout, the final total was inaccurate - I was being charged the "sticker" price instead of the actual quoted amount. Upon checking my estimate, I discovered that I had been too trusting of the technicians. While I had left the paperwork in my car during the service, the estimate had been replaced with a newly printed one (not signed by me) placed on the seat - with different pricing, and a different "print time" at the top. Baffled at the entire situation, and knowing that I had no case without the original estimate, I simply paid the inaccurate total price and left feeling disgusted about the whole thing. This experience has left a bad taste in my mouth. I will not return to this chain, and I will tell others to be mindful as well. read more

I am not a car guy so when my oil needs changing, I will take it somewhere because it rather pay for the service then deal with having to do it on my own. My wife and I passed this spot and saw their sign for a Oil Change special for $27.99. With an upcoming oil change needed I figured I would try this place out. When I pulled up to the front of the engine bay, all of the workers were just standing around and no other cars were to be found. To me I think of two things, either they are just slow or work fast, or lastly their service is not great and people avoid coming here. I was immediately approached by one of the gentlemen, he asked what service I would like and I said the special you have going on. He led me to the waiting room and offered coffee or water which I declined both. He said someone would be in to discuss the service and if anything should arise. Within 5 minutes, one of the workers walked in, didn't greet me and just went to the computer. Eventually he said, what email address are you using? Now lets take a step back to think about this. He did not introduce himself, did not ask if I could come up to the counter or state he would need some information to get paperwork started. As a customer that is a little off-putting because he shows a lack of manners or respect. I got up and went through the motions of providing my information. He then stated all the services I can choose from, standard to premium oil changes then he proceeded with battery change, radiator service, etc. It was good to know why he offered and the intervals of when these services should occur. My only issue is he flew through the list, it almost felt forced. I just opted for the Standard Service with the Full Service which ran me $39.99 but they top off all fluids, clean your windshields/windows, check your belts and decent amount of stuff to suffice the extra $12. Once the service was completed, another worker came in to finish up the paperwork, we are now at 4 different individuals, which is uncommon at least in my experiences with an oil change. This worker complete the transaction with payment and I was off. Now the question is, did I enjoy the service here? Yes but I think they should take a little more time to explain things to the customers, especially when you are the only one there. I can kind of understand if you are jammed packed but I was the only customer there. The prices are not bad but I still cannot say if I am sure to come back here. Not bad for the pricing, a good location near Ming Ave & Ashe Ave and it was quick. If you are in need of an oil change and need to get in and out as quick as possible, this may be the shop for you. read more

I went to Jiffy Lube the other day and I was truly blown away with the no hassle service I received. They were truthful about what I needed and stayed within my budget. When its time To get an oil change I don't typically expect to have an amazing exceptional experience but that's exactly what I have received on two separate occasions at this location The fist time I came in I had a serious issue where my car was losing nearly all of its oil and I was expecting that I was going to have to pay an outrageous amount for service. Not only was the charge significantly less than what I was expecting but the service far exceeded my expectations The second time that I came to this location they immediately remembered us and asked how the car was doing. They recommended the high mileage oil for my car because I have over work miles which I am glad they mentioned because I may have forgotten to heat this. The thing that they did this time which really pleased me was they offered to clean my head light covers for a generous discount. I came in and explained to Jose that I had taken my car to another shop for oil change a couple of weeks ago and had noticed it was dripping oil in my garage the past few days. He took a look at my car and found the problem. The ring was not put on oil filter properly and had created a mess. They took the time to remove and clean up the mess to my car engine, repaired the car and sent me on my way... I appreciated them taking care of me without charging me an arm and a leg!!! The manager was great however the service was bad after the oil change I notice oil leaking we were 1000 miles away from home the leak was slow but was still nervous and had no tools to fix what ever the problem was after getting home I got under the truck and filter was good but the oil pan bolt was so loose I could turn it with my fingers this is unacceptable it could have easy went real bad I had a bad feeling while watching the person work on my tuck my instincts were right. Justin inspected my car and offered suggestions (cabin filter was filthy so I opted to replace), brakes were good, fluid and belts good. Gave me peace of mind which is crucial. We agreed upon what needed to be done and Justin quoted me an extremely fair price. I was in and out in no time. I bought a $69 Groupon for a synthetic oil change that was supposed to include vacuuming and window cleaning. I thought I would save about $30 from dealer prices. Jiffy Lube (Ming location) added about $14 for an extra quart of oil, $8 for some sort of special filter which I did not realize I needed, $3 for disposal fees and $6 in taxes and proceed to charge me almost $36 more. I am not sure if the oil or filter charge was warranted but I was not in a position to argue. I complained that even with all the charges, it was still $5 too high, so the Jiffy Lube lady gave me a $5 discount because their computer can't do math. Then she showed me the invoice which she had helpfully check decline for the vacuuming and window cleaning. I told told her I wanted that done because I can get a similar oil change elsewhere with a car wash included. She was surprised and said the vacuum doesn't work and hurriedly wiped my windows. As I was leaving she rushed out and gave me a little glass sticker reminder for my next oil change. I have been let down by restaurants in past, but I have never been let down by an oil change place before. read more
