I arrived at 930am. I waited 45 min until I was able to check the car in for an oil change. I ended up leaving a little past noon without the oil changed because they couldn't figure out how to remove a few screws to drop a skid plate so they could change the oil. 2018 Audi A4. I changed the oil in 45 min in my driveway on my back which is what I should of done to begin with. Stick with your local service station or the dealer. AVOID THIS PLACE. read more

One star because I had to give one. This one deserves 0 stars. A young lady who was on the phone at the time greeted me when I pulled up. I thought this will be great she is on top of things. Then waited 20 minutes and never heard from another worker ... things like we will be right there... give us 5 minutes anything would have been nice. I even stood by the counter to get her attention and she didn't even bother saying those words again. I hated my keys down and left. They need a major overhaul on customer service and actually doing the work. Terrible experience... waste of time.i tried to email the company as they asked and it gets sent back to me. First time getting my oil changed here. Its a little expensive so just go online and find a coupon. If it doesn't work ask for help; the associate helped me find one that did. Because of this ill always go here for car stuff, I really appreciate a little extra help.it was also quick, in and out in 15 min. Darnell helped me, he was really nice and professional. I'd be weary of this place. Pretty sure they did not actually change my oil, or it was changed incorrectly. I went to the Baldwin, NY location (Merrick Rd.) a couple months ago for a routine oil change. Been there a few times before & never had issues, and always had positive experiences, but this time seemed different. They "completed" the job in maybe 10 minutes & I don't recall seeing them doing what they normally do. I asked them to confirm they were done & said "yes, you're good to go". They gave me the sticker & programmed when my next oil change is due in my cars system. Then about 200 miles before my next one was due, my engine started having major issues to where it now has to be completely replaced. The culprit? Oil that was THICK, BLACK SLUDGE. No oil should be that consistency 200 miles BEFORE an oil change is due. I am always on track with my car's oil. Paid about $80 for either no oil change or a botched one, which caused my entire engine to need to be replaced. Not sure if this is because I'm a young woman, but regardless I would be mindful of this place. Highly disappointed in this as I had loved this place in the past. Would recommend another location OR a regular mechanic/dealership instead. read more

They tell you there is no wait and that they only have one car to work on when you call. It's a lie, they just say that so you come and your stuck there waiting with at least 6 other cars ahead of you. They have no one inside and only one mechanic working. Then their friends come in and they get to skip the line and go ahead of everyone in the waiting room. This place is a joke, save your time and go to a different jiffy lube. read more

My car was under warranty from Toyota Care, so I got free oil changes for two years from the dealer. It expired. I went to Jiffy Lube. It's downhill from there. I'm very particular about the oil that goes into my car. I want a specific type, of a specific brand. I went to Auto Zone, and bought myself five bottles of that specific oil. I roll into Jiffy Lube, and tell them that I purchased my own oil. I figured it'd be around $27 because I had called another Jiffy Lube for a quote earlier that day (I didn't go to that one because I forgot to go in the morning, and in the afternoon I was closer to Baldwin). Anyway... I was charged $41 for the oil change. I looked at the menu at the register, and if I hadn't taken my own oil it would have cost me $89 to get a comparable oil at Jiffy Lube. That's ridiculous. I can buy my own oil, and pay a mechanic at an auto body in Freeport a lot less than Jiffy Lube. I reached out to their corporate office, and got dead silence. This was my first time not using a dealership and what a great experience. I arrived late afternoon and they were not busy. They took my car right in for an oil change. I met Dion who had to take my information and he informed me that my transmission fluid was way over due as well. I had them do the oil change and transmission fluid and I was out so fast. I won't be going back to a dealership any more and will return to this location. I hope Dion will still be there for many years. Very respectable and honest. Great experience. read more

This place tried to rip me off today. I am a young woman and came in with my minivan. A man in a black hooded sweatshirt (wasn't even wearing a jiffy lube shirt) told me to park in the lot and he looked my license plate up on his computer and said the oil I used to get (conventional oil) they don't give anymore and that the charge today for the oil is $100 for synthetic oil. I looked at him like he was crazy and left. I have never in my life paid that much money for oil and he didn't even look inside my engine!!! He quoted me from the parking lot. Will never go back again and everyone I speak to I tell the same thing. You are disgraceful for trying to take advantage of women! And I'm sure you are taking advantage of young people and senior citizens. You should be ashamed of yourself. read more

have you ever spoken to someone who does not listen!?! just called and spoke to apollo at jiffy lube merrick rd baldwin to explain my plight before i take my case to public opinion as i am now. he didn't listen to a word i said. therefore my review! i have used jiffy lube merrick rd baldwin for inspections and oil changes before (jiffy lube ck your records). on 2/4/20 my husband brought my car for oil change and inspection. the machine could not read the codes for the inspection so they charged us and the tech told my husband to drive for 30 miles and come back. if the machine could not read the codes they should not have charged, there were no issues to fail. my husband left, followed their instructions to drive 30 miles and went back. when he got back they told him to wait 2 days and they would have to charge him again??? in 2 days would they say to wait a week??? we lost hope in this place so we went to the hyundai dealership svs dept in valley stream on wed 2/5 and explained what happened. MY CAR PASSED INSPECTION!!! HOURS AFTER IT FAILED????????? HYUNDAI VALLEY STREAM SAID JIFFY LUBE SHOULD HAVE RETESTED THE CAR WITHOUT A CHARGE AS HYUNDAI SAID THEY WOULD HAVE DONE. (good customer service at hyundai) THE TECH MAY NOT HAVE KNOWN HOW TO USE THE MACHINE AND HE SHOULD BE RETRAINED SO OTHER CUSTOMERS ARE NOT CHARGED 2X. BEWARE OF THIS TACTIC. Took my car to get serviced and I was blown away by the professionalism. I was in and out and and serviced by Apollos. I received my oil change and was reminded that my inspection was due to expire. Had he not mentioned it to me, I'm pretty sure I would've forgotten. He then performed my inspection. The waiting area and bathroom was extremely clean. I had been trying to change the oil in my grandma's car for a while. I could never learn the skills it took to get it done. But your employee Tyrel Knight had her oil changed in 10 minutes , was a very nice and polite young man with lots of potential. Told me oil change was $41. When they pulled car in and started working on it the price suddenly jumped to $114. Told them to stop and give me my car back. Since it was a lease called Paul Conte Chevrolet and asked how much was oil change. It was totally free as part of lease. Beware of bait and switch at Jiffy Lube. Many customers complained about them saying it must be synthetic oil when in fact it is synthetic blend. Beware. Plus Jiffy Rep was not very friendly, borderline rude. read more

I would give zero stars if I could. I purchased a vehicle from Smithtown NY and drove it back to Baldwin NY where I live with zero issues so I stopped at Jiffy Lube at 598 Merrick Road in Baldwin for an oil change and other maintenance anyone would get with purchasing a car. The bays for the oil change are very steep, so the employees need to be very careful when pulling cars in and out for service. Once they were finished with service they pulled the car out of the bay carelessly. Once I was done paying I went out and noticed fluid pouring out the bottom of my car, it was my brake fluid, the line was damaged when the car was pulled down the bay. I had to call a tow to get my car because it had no breaks after fluid emptied on floor. I went to get the employee who pulled car out to ask what happened and he was across the street from the business talking to someone in a car avoiding me. I got the manager of location and explained what happened and he gave me a number to his "higher up" named Jason. Jason said to get the car fixed and get receipt to submit a claim. After submitting claim I was contacted by a woman named Connie out of Jiffy Lube corporate in Texas with a horrible attitude and zero people skills denying the calm. All in all this place is horrible and I hope no one ever uses them. I attached images of the damage they caused just to forewarn anyone else thinking about using them. read more
