Ok so I had called and scheduled a NYS safety inspection at this location. Arrived for the inspection and there was no one in the bays and walked in the front office. When I opened the door the smell of pot smoke was unbearable. They said the tech left, though I called and scheduled and I would have to come back another day. Not against people smoking but hey, if you are replacing brakes on someone's car and forget to tighten the lug nuts you may have caused a serious accident. Sucks cause the concept of a Jiffy Lube is great. In and out with quick service and most people are probably not doing brakes there. But someone could forget the oil drain plug or use the wrong filter which would cause another issue. Something to think about before you bring your car here. This company should also not advertise NYS inspections as each location has a reason why they can't when you get there even though you call ahead. read more

I haven't been to a JiffyLube in a long time. But today they saved my bacon, because I hadn't noticed that my oil was low. For the first time I used my new knowledge of resetting the oil change light because it is an annoyance every time. I guess I will stay annoyed in the future. My plan was to drive a bunch today and it could have been tragic had I not had a go-to spot. And on a Father's Day Sunday there was no line at 1:30 in the afternoon. Glad to have these guys. They "accidentally" charged me twice for an oil change. After being told it would be resolved the following week, I noticed the charge was still there. I eventually reached a manager, but they did nothing to fix the issue. There was no follow-up, and I felt they didn't care to help. Went there as an out of town visitor and the excellent staff were so helpful. They alerted me to an issue with my oil filter that apparently happened at the last place I had my oil changed (was out of state). They recommended I go back there as they damaged my filter and tried to cover the hole with some sealant. Anyway, they checked the oil for now and it was still ok. Added some air to a tire and we were in our way. Just nice to see some honest and helpful people are still around. Would come back to this Jiffy Lube if I'm ever back in the area. read more

I had a positive experience at this location last week. Brought in our 20 year old SUV for a state inspection. This location is right by a drive through car wash and across the street from a grocery store and multiple restaurants. Mechanics were nice. They suggested some services I know the SUV could probably benefit from considering its age but weren't pushy or condescending. Waiting room and restroom were old but fine. State inspection was quick. Cost for a state inspection is posted clearly in the waiting room. I have no complaints and will probably bring the car back for an oil change. read more

Did you know that this place does not drain out your oil from the bottom of your vehicle? Well I used to love this place until they told me they do it both ways but when I went back they did not drain as they are suppose to do. I value my investment and unfortunately, this is a deal breaker for me. Plus, they no longer provide free car wash or discounts to healthcare employees as they used to. I will go elsewhere for my oil changes to be done properly! Do not use them to rotate your wheels, they broke one of my locks and my bad for not checking. Even though it was not visible, I was told when I went for a flat tire by the tire place and had to replace all of my wheel locks. Staff is ok but very slow and they are in need of a company "Customer Service" training program. You decide what to do, I am writing my personal experience with Jiffy Lube. They never have filters in stock either! Bad customer service is just normal in todays world. read more

I took my car for oil change in October 2019 at Jiffy Lube in East Meadow. Just recently, I found out that something was brushing against the road when I hit a bump or pull in the driveway. Took the car to my mechanic and he put it on the lift and explained the whole story. He said whenever I got my oil changed, those people forgot to put the BOLTS to screw the bottom cover of the car. So over time, the cover managed to slip through and was hitting the road. He showed me all 4-5 bolts were missing. To fix, he simply put new bolts and screwed them. Didn't charge me a dime. Don't know whom to trust anymore. But I will never take my car to Jiffy Lube ever!! They claim to be professional, 40 point inspection, blah, blah, blah!!! read more

I came in today to have multiple things done for my car. My mom was having a procedure done today and I only had a limited amount of time. Braulio went over pricing and the amount of time each service would take. We agreed on the the fact that we would get the most items on my list done in my short 1 hour time span. I always go to the East Meadow store even refer my friends and family there. as of today that will change, I recently got an oil change and as I was leaving I noticed I needed an inspection done and since there was a long line I inquired was there certain days and time and was advised no they are open til 6. we'll got there at 418 pm to be turned away and I can come back on Wednesday hmmm they change the schedule in a couple of days. SMH. it sad cause I changed the rest of my afternoon client for the next day to get this done. you will be loosing a lot of business cause where I go I take family and friends with me. read more

THEY ARE TRYING TO ROB YOU OF YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY!! DO NOT GO TO JIFFYLUBE I brought in my brand new 2020 Honda Civic for a simple oil change. I never had any issues on the vehicle and its was only around 15K miles when i brought it in, drove great. 3 months after the oil change the engine blows. I am not a car guy so i send it to Honda, where it is still under warranty. Honda let me know that whoever did the oil change left my oil drain plug lose and it fell off while i was driving, thus blowing the engine. For 2 weeks they were impossible to speak with. This morning i got a call saying its not their fault, they want me to pay for all damages, and they never touched the oil drain plug, they used a special tool. That is a bold faced lie and now i will find myself in court with them. As a fellow consumer i swear to god nobody touched the car outside of jiffylube in those 3 months, now due to what should be a simple oil change, they are trying to make me pay thousands. Worst part is the more i tell this story the more common it seems. I have had a few people hear the story and guess that i went to Jiffylube, because nobody else would have this problem. Sigh, It's common knowledge that Jiffy lube is like the McDonald's of mechanics/maintenance. With that knowledge I still go to them every so often when I needed something done, fast. Until recently.... While changing the oil/air filter they ended up breaking some thing related to the air intake, causing the car to sputter/stall out. Actually, right after leaving, the car stalled out on Hempstead turnpike. In traffic.......uh, not really a pleasant experience for me. After being taken to a mechanic, verified, and taken back to them they ordered the part and fixed it that day. Not bad.. I was surprised they took the extra mile to fix it, and fix it in a timely manner. Does that mean I trust them? Meh, not so much. Hey, there is a positive to this story, I'm not always a pessimist. The staff here is ridiculously nice and polite to you. They'll open doors for you, greet you, talk to you etc. They even have a partnership with the car washing place next door and give you free coupons. read more

I usually take my car to vavoline and it's always a quick easy process where I never even have to get out of the car. I went along with someone to the jiffy lube to keep them company thinking it would be the same kind of experience but let me tell you I was wrong. It took over 2 hours and for some reason they made us get out of the car. Save yourself a headache and just go to vavoline quicker and much more comfortable waiting inside your car. read more

I pulled in and there was a line of cars waiting. I got scared but went inside to see if I could leave my car. The gentleman I spoke to, the assistant manager, told me all those cars were for inspections and it'll only be few mins to get my car in for an oil change. He helped move some of the cars up so I could line up behind the correct bay door for oil changes. He was true to his word and my car was getting worked on within minutes. A few mins later he came to me and suggested a tire rotation. Not pushy at all! I agreed and he showed me the price breakdown and total to expect. When I got there the service man asked what I needed. I said an oil change. He directed me to a bay where there was one car ahead of me. I waited over 40 minutes. When he drove my car in he said I needed synthetic oil. I said that I just had it changed and they didn't put synthetic in. He said I could do what I want and he would make a note of that on my receipt. He was loud and arrogant. 10 more minutes went by. The tech then came out and said they don't have a filter for my car. I visited this location for the first time today. Based on the reviews I've read on Yelp, I was expecting to have a horrible experience. But, that wasn't the case. I went in for an oil change. As soon as I pulled in, the employees got to work. It was like watching a pit crew. Each person had a specific task and they worked well together. They changed my oil and filter, topped off my fluids, checked my tire pressure. I was probably only there for about 15 minutes or so, and before I knew it, they were done. They honored a coupon that I found on there website and even gave me voucher for a free exterior car wash (the car wash is a separate business, located behind Jiffy Lube). I took off one star because none of the employees I interacted with were very friendly or welcoming. Aside for that, they got the job done and they didn't try to upsell me on anything. They were quick and efficient doing the oil change. Compared to my old mechanic they charge WAY more for an oil change. Which sucks but whatever. What got me though was they try to up sell you on other items to "fix" that you don't actually need. First the guy ask if I want a new air filter because a dirty one can effect gas millage (something along those lines) and is holding my air filter that literally is still white and had one dead bug and a leaf on it. Then he also says my left windshield wiper is cracked and asked if I want that to be fixed. I said no because I got a new wipers a month ago and knew they were fine. Lastly he tried to say my break light was out. I was fine with having it replaced but he comes back to say that the wiring is broken so I need that fixed before they can replace the bulb. When I got home I checked my break lights and both work completely fine. So just make sure you know what you need and don't fall for these up sells. read more

Gotta love Jiffy Lube BUT unfortunately the Lube doesn't always grease the way it should. Came to this JL, after I moved to Levittown back in 2007. All I needed was an oil change. It was a Saturday, mid-day, and the employees probably were ready for lunch break. I sat in the waiting room patiently for the usual 20 minutes. I paid, walked out to my car and went on my way. Well, at least I tried. After I started my car up, it made this awful noise and as I inched toward the main exit onto Hempstead Turnpike, every possible light lighted up on my dashboard. Then the oil light starts blinking. It was like screaming at me. YIKES! I immediately bust a U-ie back into the parking lot and explain the noise and lights. The mechanic swiftly scoops my car back into the garage. A few minutes later, everyone was super apologetic to me They "accidentally forgot" to put oil back into the car after they drained it. OOPSIE! Yeah, I wasn't the happiest customer after that. I actually wrote a letter to the corporate office and got a personal response back from the manager of the East Meadow Jiffy Lube. The letter said to come back and he (the manager) will personally service my car. I never returned. I can't blame all Jiffy Lubes for this potentially, extremely bad mistake that could have ravaged my cars engine. So to my Oceanside Jiffy Lube, I will never stray again. read more

I came here numerous times with my former love to get the car's oil changed and washed. The waiting time is an eternity as there is insufficient staff to operate the fort. The staff uses dirty rags to dry cars yet they do not clean the tire covers in going the extra mile on customer service. read more

I took both my car and my wife car in at the same time for an oil change, big mistake. 180 dollars later and the next day I checked the oil on both cars both are low on oil by a quart. these are new cars 2 years old on both. I will have a mechanic put the cars on a lift and I will inspect them both myself. I stopped for an oil change and inspection. Jiffy Lube is my go to for these services. They took my car in immediately. They discussed the other services recommended for my vehicle based on my mileage. They didn't pressure me into doing anything. They gave me a realistic estimate on how long my services would take. They even dealt very well with another nasty customer while I was there. Don't know about the other locations, but I'll always come here for basic maintenance services the convenience. read more
