I came in today 5/1/25 for an oil change, and had a coupon for 50% off. Said it was for conventional oil only but there was a separate coupon for that specifically so only gave me $26 off $79 oil change. Tried to upsell me on everything in my engine bay, and when I mentioned I had a friend that could do it who was a previous employee here. He walked away from my car and said "I don't know if I would trust him touching a car" but worked here with him? Acted like I was stupid and didn't know anything when I have gone to college to become a mechanic, and grew up loving working on cars with my grandfathers, I just replaced my spark plugs, and they said they have a code for it which is not true. Needless to say I will not be coming back- not worth my time or sanity LOL. Rest assured, they will never see a cent of my money again! I came in for an oil change a few weeks ago. They told me that my rear brakes were at 3mm and desperately needed to be replaced. I don't know cars, but I know people, and the two guys that talked to me gave me shady vibes. I did not let them talk me into anything other than the oil change. Today I finally had the chance to go in to Les Schwab (I was on vacation for a bit). Les Schwab let me know that all of my brakes are at 6mm, and are just fine. My instincts were proven correct... Jiffy Lube makes their money not from oil changes, but from scamming unsuspecting customers. Multiple employees lied to my face, and if you were smart you would avoid this place at all costs. I hope this review can save people the trouble of dealing with such a dishonest establishment. My wife took her Escape in on May 3, 2019 for a synthetic oil change, represented as being $74.95 They charged her $91.20. A few days later we notice a large part hanging down under the vehicle, and went back to have it corrected, and an explanation of the extra charges. The part turned out to be something they remove in the oil change, but neglected to reinstall properly. On the extra charges, they explained $10 for a 'premium' oil filter. My wife was never apprised of this, nor was it explained to her why the 'standard' oil filter, included in the price was not adequate. If the included filter is inadequate, or sub-standard, that should be included in their advertising. An additional $6.30 was charged for 'additional oil' which has never been required before. On checking it today, I found it was grossly overfilled-at least 1" over the full mark. I am worried this may harm the engine somehow. I am a disabled Veteran. They, supposedly offer a military discount. My wife presented my ID card, yet they did not honor this. A synthetic oil change at Mock's Ford, is only $67.95, and includes a tire rotation. DO NOT take your car here! They broke my oil plug. Neglected to get a new one til I called every day complaining of the oil leak on my garage floor. After they did replace it l asked to have the lost oil replaced but was told it was at the max level. I found that hard to believe so I checked it. It was at minimum level. When I went to Napa auto to buy the oil the employee told me horror stories from other customers. I saw a coupon for Jiffy Lube with a buy one, get one free oil change, so I went to the Jiffy Lube on G Street in Grants Pass. Everything went fine, except that they didn't wipe off the under carriage as I asked and now, I have oil drops all over my carport driveway. Before I left the manager handed me a yellow coupon that had the free ($44 off) my next oil change...unfortunately the coupon expired in 90 days! I do not get my oil changed in 3 months, so I was told that someone else could use the coupon. When I was visiting my friends who are both 90 years old, I asked if they were in the market for an oil change, which they were, so I gave them my $44 off oil change coupon and told them the oil change would be technically free. They went to the same Jiffy Lube and the person interacting with them talked them into high end windshield wipers and a few other unnecessary things, all being high end including the oil quality! The oil change and everything else added up to $190.33 less the coupon, so what should have been free, they were upsold to the tune of $145! I called and spoke with the manager Vance and explained how upset I was that they were taken advantage of, and he countered with the fact that nothing happens unless the customer agrees. I explained that they are both 90 years old and do not understand the concept of being upsold especially if they are being talked to fast. Vance told me to bring down the receipt and he would refund the $44 off coupon. I spoke with my friends, and they didn't want me to go speak with Vance...they didn't want to start any trouble. I tried to call Vance and was on hold over 40 minutes and was then hung up on. Jiffy Lube lost 3 customers today and I would serious think twice about anyone else going to this location! read more

I just had one of the worst service experiences of my life at Jiffy Lube. The service writer tried to upsell me using fear tactics and actually got me to change out my synthetic power steering fluid for the ATF fluid because it was a different color. He proceeded to tell me I needed another $100 of differential flush I needed (which I didn't because my real mechanics had just done it a month ago). I have to say i'm not a fan. Went there for an oil change. They said it was time for a tranny flush. Also said their was too much copper in my brake fluid. It needed flushing as well. Said ok. All said and done $280. They told me their was alittle overflow in the tranny fluid but they cleaned it up. While driving home I discovered oil residue on the steering wheel, center divider and drivers door. I get home and open the hood to discover oily fluids spayed all over the top of the engine, radiator and wheel wells. Oily fluid pooling below the radiator and all other nooks. Along with the odor. I had to clean oily residue off both out fenders, hood, steering wheel, center divider and driver. Jiffy Lubes in California always go through the work (under the hood) they do. This place didn't. Now I know why. I can't wait for my truck to cool off to check the oil level. read more

These guys are SEEMINGLY extremely friendly and helpful BUT they will try to up-sell you using fear tactics. They told me that i had the wrong kind of coolant and that i needed to flush the radiator asap before it causes me problems. This seems to be a running theme as i see another review reports the same situation and an employee at another local store (unrelated to the auto business) told me that they told her the same thing. Terrible service. They were very unprofessional when they can to my window with a bad attitude. Almost standoff-ish. Quoted me over 100 dollars to get my car oil changed. I have used these jokers a few times and always just say no to their upsell, fear laden sales tactics. I've had oil drips after their work and when I return, they always say its just oil on the service pan that didn't get hosed off. Just had my car at my mechanic and asked him about the drips. If I could give zero stars i WOULD. They were supposed to do a tire rotation in January 2016. They didnt tighten the lugnuts. Some came off, others broke off as we were driving up a mountain highway. We could have DIED if a tire had come off. almost 300$ later and about 6 hours of delay due to a repair, the jiffy lube refuses to pay for the cost of the repair. Dont go there if you value your life. Have reported them to Better Business Bureau and Oregon Attny General Even sent registered letter demanding payment. They still refuse to pay. Will be taking them to small claims court. read more

I have since reached out the corporate office which gets a hold of the owner, and nothing has been resolved the owner will do nothing to resolve my issue this place is a complete scam stay away from this jiffy lube if they mess your car up they will do nothing to fix it. I wish I had read the reviews before I went here. In another town it was a good place, so I expected this one to be good too. Wrong! The service was sell and sell. Payed for the $34.95 service because they said they would clean the windshield and vacuum my vehicle which they did not. They did wipe over my windshield with a rag that left it worse then it was before. I hope they changed the oil filter! The mechanic could not find the power steering mainly because it does not have power steering. I will not be going back there. read more

Worst oil change in Grants Pass. They under inflated all of my tires by 5 pounds, I guess they don't know that the recommended psi is on the door plate. The guy who "washed" my windows left them streaked and dirtier than when I pulled in. They never checked my air filters, and I am unsure if they actually changed my oil and filter, they never showed me the old or new oil filters like at other places, the car is louder and runs more roughly now. Then to top it all off, they gave me a window sticker that told me to come back for another oil change in 23,000 miles. This place is terrible. I don't usually complain especially about businesses but something has to be done about the Jiffy Lube in Grants Pass! We took our truck in about 3 weeks ago because the seal on our new differential was leaking. They said it was the seal and a busted u joint that caused leak. Easy fix, Right! Well after 5 hours they said it was good to go. Well it took one block to know something else was definitely wrong so we went right back as we had our grandson. And we know to have a differential go out at a high speed can kill us. When we got back the mechanic got in my truck while I drove around the block. He too identified the noise as not good. We go back to Jiffy Lube. He tells us oops put the wrong oil in, cause he didn't look it up. But the noise was still there. Manager then told us it was because the original mechanic who rebuilt differential didn't calibrate it properly. Which didn't make sense because we had just gone to Utah and back with no issues. So they sent us in out way and told us to speak to another mechanic. So we took it in to another local mechanic who told us we were darn lucky we didn't lose the whole rear of our truck. Jiffy Lube didn't not replace the arm properly putting our lives at risk the minute we left their lot. Not to mention another $3000 differential. Since this incident we have tried daily to reach someone to file a complaint or anything. At least get an apology or payment to other mechanic who fixed the problem very easily. But to no avail. Store owner Dale Palmer will not return a call. Any other contact info for him or this store has been disconnected. We have called the corporate office countless times only to have them refer us back to store owner. This has got to stop. Someone else posted about their engine getting ruined. My family could have gotten in a wreck that day. What can we do to stop this franchise from reseating customers this way. I won't go there again, but worry about the people who do go there. These people obviously have no remorse for these situations. It really upsets me and I hope we can figure out a way to stop this. read more

I really wish I had read the reviews for this place before going. In short, don't make the same mistake I did - do NOT go to this Jiffy Lube. I wanted to get a quick oil change before leaving town for a road trip, so stopped here. I ended up being pressured into expensive services that I did not need, given the salesperson's storyline that my car would basically explode on my trip if I didn't. They told me that all of the "issues" they were finding were likely the mistake of my past mechanic (who I do trust) - including having the wrong type of coolant in my car. I had a bad feeling about them from the start and should've listened to my instincts. They allegedly finished all of the work within about 15 minutes of me arriving there, which seemed unusually fast for all that needed to be done, and made it a point to mention multiple times how they had cleaned my windows and vacuumed my car, as well. As I was driving away, I noticed lots of debris on my carpets and there were oily smudges all over my steering wheel, dashboard, and windows. Given that they'd lied about that work, I was pretty skeptical they'd actually done anything else. My check engine light was now on, as well. I looked up a well-reviewed mechanic in the area to stop by before hitting the road to make sure everything was ok. They were very professional and courteous and told me that I wasn't the first person to complain to them about this business. They checked out my car for free and remarked on what a sloppy job Jiffy Lube had done. It also became clear that Jiffy Lube had likely put the wrong type of coolant in my car. They took the time to educate me on the different "issues" Jiffy Lube had raised and why they were bogus. Overall, this trip did more harm than good, costing me a lot of time and money. I love being called a lier by employees when I told two people the same thing. Even when one employee quoted me a price. Then they proceeded to take me out of the the lobby and question me more about the mix up. They my not have thought they where being rude but the tone in their voices told me otherwise.
