Visited Jiffy Lube on 1/30/2024 around 4:00 pm for an oil change with about 4 vehicles in front of me and 2 or so vehicles behind me. Sat there for roughly an hour, when Ryan M. walked by apologizing to everyone in line, and to my surprise the line got cut off after me. This was my first time at this Jiffy Lube and Ryan made sure that I got the best service! Ryan also compensated me for the long but understandable wait and I can't thank him enough for that. Regrettably, there were out of conventional oil. That's like KFC being out of chicken. LOL. So I was stuck paying more for synthetic. Furthermore, I've seen grass grow faster than they can change oil. I do not recommend this place. Over an hour waiting in their hot waiting area for a simple oil change is not acceptable to me. My battery died and needed a jump start. It was old and I needed a new one. I couldn't get it until it was nearly 5 pm. I wasn't sure if my car would be serviced because the mechanics were very busy and would close at six. One of them approached me to see what service I needed. I told him I needed a new battery and asked if they'd have time to service my car. He assured me that they'd have the time to help me. About 10 minutes later, he came back to reassure me. I was very tense and felt greatly relieved by his reassurance. The manager was FANTASTIC! She approached me in a warm and friendly manner and respectfully addressed me as "Auntie". She told me what was available and asked me if I had any coupons. I said no. After I told her what I wanted, she told me she'd check to see if she had any available to give me. In a service that is dominated by men, it was refreshing to have a woman help me. I'm usually apprehensive having to deal with car issues because I don't know much about them. I think the manager at Jiffy Lube, S. Beretania is the Queen of Customer Service. Also, the price of the battery was reasonable to me, and it has a 3 year warranty. I wanted to give recognition to Manager Lana & CC!! When I returned home Wednesday evening the oil lid was not properly sealed and caused a mess and smoke from my car. When I called immediately upon realizing the error, Lana (who is finishing/finished manager training) was very concerned and asked me if I would like a tech to fix the car. I preferred to go in, and I called the next day for a future appointment (thanks mark!) When I came in today (2/11) I was able to meet Lana and CC who immediately handled the situation like pros!! Lana was AMAZING super friendly and comforting me that everything will be okay (it was!!). Lana continue to lead your team! This hands down was a great save by Lana to keep me coming to the shop! Ridiculous! No one answers the phone AT ALL. Stopped by the other day (Thursday) and the guy literally tells me "It's 3:30p. Most of the man power went home for the day. If you come before that, it's faster. Right now it's a 2 hour wait" Came back today, Sunday, I waited on the street for 20 minutes. No one came to Talk to me. Literally, met eye contact with 4 individuals and none came out to instruct me what to do or where to go. Yes. There were cars lined up in front of me but still ... who trained you guys on customer service ? Please do not reply with the generic "email us to speak about your experience" I just laid it out. Making an appointment for safety check took awhile over the phone. The lady I spoke with was also talking to someone else trying to figure out how to work the printer while I was on the phone with her trying to make an appointment. The customer service can be better and worked on. The day of my appointment came around and the lot was quite full and partially flooded in the front from heavy rains. I was lucky I didn't have to park in the huge puddle. But when I got inside there was no receptionist in sight and I waited around for quite a bit before I got helped by someone that looked like a mechanic that told me someone would assist me shortly. I walked in and out of the establishment a few times cause I didn't have the correct paperwork with me, and that same guy asked me if I've been helped and I said no so he ended up checking me in on a computer terminal outside where they work on the cars. The phone was ringing in the back and no one would pick it up, so I heard that guy tell someone to pick up the phone. Anyway with it all said and done. I don't know if it's a staffing issue or maybe they just don't have a receptionist and they make everyone do what's needed. But props to the mechanic and I can't remember his name at all but he was really friendly. I don't know if I'll come to bring my car back here next time without having to spend 10-15 mins on the phone for an appointment and maybe 45+ mins when I'm actually there with an appointment. I really have tried to give these guys the benefit of the doubt, but I have just been so dissatisfied 2 times. The first time when COVID hit, I felt sorry for them and gave everyone that helped me a nice tip. Subsequently they tried to upsell me. Recommended engine flush, a/c filter change, wiper change... which I did the first time. Second time they recommended engine flush again. I just did it the last time! Both times they failed to reattach my skiff plate completely and of course it's a major hassle when it drags while driving on the freeway. Major hassle that I don't really need. I will take my business elsewhere from now on. I really can't stress how far you have to push me to leave a bad review... this one is well deserved. read more

I've been to this location a couples of times and left because of the wait time. The location near Queens hospital and the one on Dillingham have the same issue, both with 2 hour waiting times. Today I had the time and my cell for company so I was told the wait would be 1 1/2 hours, so it was fine. TWO hours later I'm still there, I look up and my car is already done. No one came to say my car was done. I go to the counter to ask and the guy at the counter (small like a jockey, no offense) was on the phone, didn't acknowledge me after a couple minutes and went into the office area. So I go out to see what's happening and was approached right away by a nice guy (I think he had red hair, cute) asked how he could help, and I let him know that my car has been done for a while but no one approached me about it. He apologized and said the card machine was down, why no one told me this is strange but I went back inside to wait for the guy to come out to the counter. When he did, he was still on the phone and smirked when I mentioned no one had told me my car was done. Anyway, I paid and left. I'm not unhappy bc I was occupied, but the 2 hours to have my car done and sitting there without being informed when it was, and the attitude of the guy behind the counter, put a sour taste in my mouth. The 14 point service is gone, usually they would go over what was done like checked the air filter, topped off the water for the windshield wipers, vacuum, etc. the receipt was short all that was mentioned was the weight of oil and the amount used.The time there is not "Jiffy." I would go back to this business, but not this location. I like the locations where women are there, the place seems better and more efficiently run when they are and they still offer SERVICE. This is at the Punchbowl location, they're great over there, worth the wait! read more

Oil change and made the entire exhaust disappear. Took zero responsibility even when police were called. They said file a claim with corporate. It's a franchise. That's not how it works. Upon further inspection the gas tank is damaged severely. Avoid this place. Nothing but criminals. No integrity. Shame on them. Will post photos after court. See you in court. read more

I was told by staff that Mechanic is late for my 0800 appointment. It's 0825 and I had to re-explain my situation with a second staff member. I admit I'm coming across as somewhat annoyed but I'm going to give the second staff member a chance to follow up. I think the first staff member forgot about me. Second staff member returned and directed me to the waiting area while he continued to follow up on my appointment. I apologized for my earlier annoyance. Okay 0900 my car is in the garage and someone just started working on my car. After about 15 minutes this staff member came in to see if I had the quote and I told him that another staff member had me sign it and kept it. I don't know what is going on. I started reading their one and two star reviews and get what those customers were feeling. Car completed by Aimin. He took the time for me to explain my experience with them over my last two visits. He sympathised with my experience and made it better for me when I requested for some kind of comp and he took the labor off my bill. I asked how I could avoid this happening again and he gave me his card. This staff member made things right so that I would come back. Two to four. read more

Made an appointment for a safety check and oil change about two weeks ago. Today at 10 was the earliest they explained. I got there at 10 and the attendant came out. Was pretty polite. I told him I had an appointment. He came back a few minutes later saying they have to charge to clean my headlight lens covers. Said they won't pass a safety check! I told him "never mind the safety, I will clean them myself." He goes back into the garage, comes back a few minutes later. He tells me "our conventional oil nozzle is broken. It won't pump!" I just look at him. Like I'm a chump and don't know "upselling". I worked in a gas station in the day. I know my vehicle. I have over 208,000 miles on it! I don't trust whoever is running this location now. I will go elsewhere. They really don't care cause these employees get paid no matter how good or bad they are. read more

I noticed a common, almost scripted trend while waiting for my car to be serviced/inspected for the required annual safety inspection. Nearly every person getting their "older" cars inspected were failed and told they needed new windshield wipers and their headlights cleaned. This common theme must drum up quite a bit of revenue, as they convinced the four older ladies ahead of me to pay to have their "headlights cleaned." When it came to me they told me the same thing and said I failed be abuse of that and my windshield wipers needed to be replaced. I informed them I would not have my headlights cleaned and that my windshield wipers were less than a month old. The tech came back and informed me that my wipers were good but I still needed my lights cleaned. Simply calling them out for trying to rip me off was enough to change their rhetoric. I can't imagine how many people get raked over the coals for simply not knowing any better. Will not make the mistake of going to Jiffy Lube again. Went to another local business and passed without an issue. read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE! Yesterday my husband took our car to this Jiffy Lube around 10:30 am to have our oil changed and have our tires rotated. The staff suggested changing the brake pads, a costly job we weren't expecting but decided to go ahead since we had some time. They said it would take 2-3 hours which was fine. Three hours later we still didn't receive a call and I dropped my husband off at Jiffy Lube where we saw the car was still being worked on. We would have appreciated a heads up to tell us that they were not finished. When he asked home much longer they said about 30 mins to an hour. We wait some more.. At 3 pm (4.5 hours) later they called us to let us know they were taking it out for a test drive and reminded us that they were closing at 4 pm. We were already a close distance away but I didn't appreciate them rushing us when they were the ones who took longer than they had predicted and did not communicate with us at all. We go back there and I drop my husband off. I head back home and 1/2 an hour later I was wondering where he was. Come to find out the staff lost our wheel key! My husband was stuck there til 4 pm anyways because they were looking around for the key.. so on top of the extended time and the rushing they lost our wheel key! Unfortunately they did not find it and promised to replace it. They called my husband this morning and said we now have to go to Infinity to get a new key and they will reimburse us! They think they left it on the wheel during the test drive. So on top of everything we dealt with yesterday we now have to get another key and hope that they actually follow through on their end. He could have turned me away, after all it's humbug to be working Sunday afternoon anyway, but he didn't. He fit me in. THAT'S customer service! Located on Beretania, across the street from down to earth, FedEx, and right next door to Burger King. Prices are decent, location is very convenient, Air Conditioned in the waiting room with the TV playing Avengers 3 and free coffee and water. Not sure about the other reviews [though I did call ahead to see if there was a wait and no one answered...likely because they were trying to get all the customers taken care of...so...that's understandable]. TLDR; Need an oil change? Jiffy Lube on Beretania and university is convenient, and offers good service. read more

Pretty much either too busy or understaffed. Some locations I would never go back to due to inexperienced technicians. I'd say try Firestone or Goodyear both are legit and the cost for a simple oil change is about the same if not cheaper. read more
