My car started to smoke from the hood when on my way home from work this evening. Luckily, it just happened near by the Jiffy Lube Moiliili location, so I decided to stop by. When I got there it was 5:30pm, it looked closed already but the gentleman came out from the office. I told him what happened and he found out that the coolant was empty. A lady came out from the office also and they checked the oil and made sure everything was okay. They were so kind (I should have asked their name) and gave me coolant refill. She said "we won't charge because it's an emergency ". THEY SAVED MY LIFE. I really appreciate you guys. I will definitely come back for oil change and safety check later. read more

The crew at this Jiffy Lube does all they can to help their guests. A lot of reviews focus on the metric type stuff of wait time and things. For me wait time was pretty good. They seemed to be cranking out cars but with a system that ensures quality work. For me, I'm all about customer service. I pulled into the bay the mechanics all had a hard time opening my hood. They spent 10 min trying to get it open. They let me try and I also had an issue. Realizing it was broken, the attendant gave me a suggestion for someone down the road. Unfortunately they were super busy but luckily I found a fix online. Fixed it, got it open, drove back, and it was broken again! This time the manager came out and spent another 10-15 minutes trying to get it open. After preparing myself to just give up, the manager got it open! They were so accommodating and helped out so much. The team is great and I'll keep coming back. For those with wait time issues, they are on a main thoroughfare but they do have ebbs and flows in traffic coming through. I noticed between 10 and 2 on weekdays are pretty slow. Granted most people are at work at that time but I'd come here for their team! read more

It is tough being a female and having car issues. A lot of places rip you off. I had an emergency break change at another place and they ended up ripping me off so bad. When I found out my fluids were all wonky (all of a sudden after picking it up from the other place) my dad told me to go to jiffy lube instead. I'm not really one to leave reviews but they really just went above and beyond for me. I was sobbing when I pulled up (it's been rough lol) and the guys were all so nice. I was telling them what my dad told me and they said they'd check if I needed all of that because they don't want to charge me for stuff I don't need. Needless to say they had my car fixed and ready to go in less than 3 hours. They were so very honest and genuine the entire time and were patient in explaining what things were since I really know nothing about cars. You guys have NO IDEA how big a difference your kindness, patience, and honesty made in dealing with this batch of car trouble. (Especially since I just spent $3200 on breaks somewhere else less than a week before this happened) Thanks so much !!!! read more

I went in for an oil change today. I'm a regular customer at this location. The last time I was here, there was a wait. Today, I was told a 45 minute wait. 2 hours later, my vehicle is finished. I watched 3 guys standing around the car while one guy worked. Then I went to pay, the one guy in the car bay comes in and forgets to put my dipstick back in, then I get in my van and they forgot to reset oil life computer. I had to ask a guy to reset it. My bill was over $100 with a discount. I had synthetic oil. I won't be going back! I would understand if they were short staffed but having one person working while 3 others were standing around doesn't make it a Jiffy! Manager needs to time each car in the bays to do oil changes under 20 minutes! read more

I am a stereotypical young woman in the sense that I know nothing about cars. I trusted jiffy lube to service my car and not take advantage of the fact that I'm a girl and pretty ignorant and naive about my car. I chose to go to jiffy lube because it's conveniently located and you don't have to make an appointment. Albert met me at my car and I explained I needed an oil change. He looked at my engine and told me what kind of oil I "needed because my car only takes this particular synthetic blahdiblah oil". I have a corolla...but you're the expert, not me. He quoted me $86 for the oil change and since I've never paid for an oil change (my dad or my brother, who coincidentally happens to be studying petroleum engineering, usually does it for me. Albert also tried to sell me a fuel injection check service something or other, but since I wasn't really expecting to pay almost $90 for an oil change, I declined. While I was waiting in the little waiting room, another mechanic came in and told me my filters needed to be replaced. Awesome. I replaced one. It was $20. I ended up spending over $100. My dad later asked me if I bought a Porsche without him knowing because $90 is an inappropriate amount for an oil change for my corolla. He also asked if the mechanics game me my dirty filter. Nope! Apparently it's pretty standard to give customers the dirty filters so they know it was replaced with a new one and not just put back in the car. I've lost all my trust in jiffy lube and won't come back. Why'd ya gotta take advantage of me like that? Rude. read more

I normally try to change my own oil just to save me money, but this time i got stuck in a situation where my oil filter just wouldn't come off and i had no time to look for a oil filter removal tool. My gloves that have a super good grip on things just wasn't cutting it and my other tool was lost around my house so all i could do was just change the oil and run by jiffy lube to see if they could do it for me. Davis came up to me and i explained my situation and he took in my car as i waited in the waiting room with others. Within 15 minutes my car was good to go. Since I had changed the oil and had bought my own oil filter, Davis mentioned that they didn't have a charge to changing just an oil filter even though i had bought my filter from somewhere else. I was willing to pay him whatever the cost. He was kind enough to perform a service that i guess was easy for him and also made it easy for me. Thank you Davis..You're the bomb! I'm back again at Jiffy Lube! Over the weekend I had a little time on Sunday, so I decided to take my play car in to do some work. If you folks don't know by now.........Jiffy Lube also offers other fluid changes, besides the standard oil changes for your motor. In my case, I took my car in to have the fuel filter replaced, as well has having the fuild in my differential drained and replaced with synthetic gear oil. I must say, they took a bit long (about an 1.5 hours), but at least the clerk explained to me that they had a little trouble getting the fuel filter out, therefore the longer wait. He appologized for the wait, and for me, since I wasn't in a rush to go anywhere............that was just fine by me. I just chilled in the customer waiting area, and watched a movie (Batman) that they had on. I'm glad I took my car in to do this work, as now days, I'm not too enthusiastic about climbing under my car to wrench and get gasoline all over me, as well as getting my hands burnt from touching the rear end.......... The work done by Jiffy Lube was reasonable.........$230.00 for all parts & labor. Having the work done also gives me "piece of mind" knowing that my car will perform the way it should, without worrying about it crapping out. A great place to go to have your fluids replace.......but if you need something repaired on your car, I would take it someplace else. I picked the right time to visit Jiffy Lube, the day after Christmas, as there were zero customers in the service bays. First time to the shop and got them to do an Oil & Filter change and the complimentary vacuum. Like others I got the $10 Yelp check-in discount. I swear my car was done in less than 10 minutes. In fact I got up to get a cup of water to drink and didn't see my car in the service bay which was surprising, then saw it out back done. Friendly staff, super-quick service. read more

I can't believe how amazing the manager Lana was to my wife and baby. My wife got there for an oil change the car sprung a major oil leak. They were stranded there but the people were so nice and helpful. The tow truck was taking forever and eventually cancelled and Lana helped us to get the car over to the mechanic's before the end of the day. They didn't even charge my wife!!! Everytime I come to this location I am treated like family. As a woman who has no interest in learning how to fix my car, I appreciate the honesty from everyone at this location. They are very thorough in making sure that I am only paying for and getting services that my car ACTUALLY needs. I have gone to different mechanics in the past and have paid for things that I was told my car needed only to speak to my brother/ boyfriend and find out it either isn't usually that expensive or is something I didn't need. This location always makes sure to explain everything. They are honest and tell me which things can wait. They also tell me which things that personally wouldn't wait on or if they have to wait how long they would wait before getting it fixed. I always feel like I am talking with a friend here. Ryan is always so sweet and very thorough making sure to top off any fluids and checking my breaks and tires even though they don't do tires. He also gave me recommendations of where to go and who to talk to about my tires. The manager here is also amazing. She goes around making sure everyone is taken care of and treated like family. She makes sure all the customers understand what is being done with their car and the wait. She frequently updates customers on their wait times. She is always extremely friendly and very easy to talk too. This is the only place I recommend and go to for my car! read more

I use Jiffy Lube for all my car servicing, but I will never use your services again. I had my car serviced on 6 May 2020 at your 2550 S Beretania St, Honolulu, HI 96826 location. I was very happy with the lady that set up my car servicing and outprocessed me for payment - she was really great and I am sorry I don't know her name. That is the best I can say about this shop. My car was inspected for safety (I guess they check safety systems before they work). Part of that inspection involved battery testing. I was told that I needed a new battery because the power rating was at 50%. I declined this since my battery seemed strong and started my vehicle without any problems. The next morning, 7 May, I became curious as to the battery's age. I lifted my hood and found the following picture. The positive battery cable and terminal was very corroded. So I thought to myself why wouldn't the service technicians tell me about this corrosion. One of the techs could have said something like this. "Oh, your battery terminals are really corroded. That might be the reason why your battery is becoming weaker." We can clean that as we replace your battery." Or, maybe they could have just told me that someone should clean my battery terminals. NOT SAYING ANYTHING IS A CLEAR WAY OF TELLING ME THAT YOUR FOLKS DON'T CARE ABOUT ME AS A CUSTOMER, OR MY CAR. It gets better. I wipe down and clean my car engine and the rubber tubing under the hood on a monthly basis. This car is nine years old and you may notice the black surfaces are rather clean except for the bluish drippings on the surfaces - sloppy. I found a cigarette butt in the catch area under my hood and near my wipers. How did that get there in the last 12 hours??! Looks to me like it was PLACED there. I looked to see if there was a way it could get to that location and it only leads me to believe it was placed there. I should have really started looking at the engine and other areas before paying for the service. I should have stopped right away when I saw my door handle area was dirty. I cleaned this with some liquid wax cleaner before leaving your car lot. Needless to say, I'M NEVER GOING BACK TO ANY OF THEIR STORES and I will make it my mission to tell my friends about this shoddy work. Gosh, I hope they really changed my oil, brake fluid drain and radiator. Maybe I should take my car to the Honda dealer. I will admit that these concerns of mine might not be so alarming, but I feel for certain they are indications that your employees don't give a care about my car, and I question the quality of work I pay them to do. Did they really change my oil, did they change my filter?.... So you can see my concerns. read more

We own a small contracting business and usually bring our company fleet to do oil changes at this location. Normally we love the convenience and service the crew provides. Today we brought two vehicles in for routine oil changes. It was pretty busy and the line was just spilling out onto the street. There was one guy, Michael walking around with a clipboard and he told us he would be with us when he was through checking in another customer. We unloaded our two dogs and my husband and I followed Michael up to the computer. My husband was standing just outside of the shop when he felt something liquid spray on him. It hit him on one shoulder, all over a car next to him a some went into his eye. He thought it was water at first and looked in the direction it came from. A woman named Ceara was standing holding a nozzle and she said "Oh, sorry!". He asked what it was and she said it was oil. Everyone stood staring at us, I guess, stunned. We asked Michael for something to wipe it up and he went inside and then came out with a red shop rag. He said it doesn't look clean but he assured us it was. There were spots of oil all over my husband's shirt, pants and shoes. There was even a couple of spots on our dog. Michael said he would give us a $10 discount. We were taken aback that with all the safety training they claim to have, there was no offer to rinse out my husband's eye or any other action taken to see if he was all right. He's a tough guy and can take a lot but there was such a lack of concern for his well being. The workers were more worried about cleaning up the car that got sprayed than checking if my husband was alright. We went to walk our dogs and came back to sit in the waiting room. TEO HOURS later our vehicles were ready! This trip took a whole 2-1/2 hours for both of our cars. I'm not sure why it took so long this time. Both cars had basic oil changes done and there were plenty of workers in the shop. While we waited, my husband said his one eye was starting to get irritated and his vision started to blur. When we paid for our cars, we explained to the cashier what happened and asked for the manager. She said the the manager wasn't in but gave me Paula's phone number. We asked for the assistant manager and she said that was Ceara, the gal that shot the oil at my husband. We explained that we were not going to sue or anything but we wanted to let the manager know what happed and that we made an appointment with our eye doctor to make sure everything was okay. I called Paula as we left and it went to her voice mail. I left a message that there was an incident that just happened and I wanted to let her know what happened. It's now 7:00PM and no call back. Fortunately our eye doctor checked my husband's eye and it was irritated but it wasn't serious. He gave my husband some eye drops and it should be better tomorrow. He said if it was antifreeze, it would have been very If we got a "I'm really sorry, are you alright?" from any of the workers, Michael, Ceara or the cashier, we would have felt better. All we got from Ceara was "It was an honest mistake!". Two people called us to talk about the incident from their corporate office. They were sincerely concerned and offer us complementary oil changes the next time we need it. We were relieved that the lack of care didn't extend up to their top management. We will probably give them another chance. read more
