I came here for an oil change on Sunday, and they were extremely busy. I gave them four stars because, regardless of the wait, they provide exceptional service. My car only takes synthetic oil, and sometimes Oil Changers is out of it. Lana and everyone else working were really kind and helpful. They also had a New Year's promotion going, so I was able to get two additional services that were originally $70-80 each for $20. I also got $40 off my total, which is great because synthetic oil is really expensive. I appreciate that they have four lanes with four people working. Sometimes, you wait in a long line, but there's only one person working and it moves slow. If you're planning on going here, I recommend you going 30 minutes before opening. This location is terrible. Dropped my car off, with the usual 2 cars in the bay. Cordial check in, went on my way to get a drink to distract myself of the wait. Half an hour later, I casually call to ask about how much longer (not in a rushing tone, I had all afternoon). I was told 45 minutes. No problem. 45 minutes later, I went back. My car is NOT even worked on, moved up about 6' where I left it. I asked for my keys back. No thank you. $100+ service and 2.5+ hours (already waited 20+ minutes before checked in) was not what I had in mine. 4 lanes are useless if not staffed for it. Close 2 lanes, and you will get much better customer satisfaction. Jiffy my okole. I saved my money today. I will go to a place with appointment and be out in an hour. Value your customers time. Came here for oil change. There was no wait at all and they were able to take us right away. The whole process took approximately 45 minutes. At the beginning they asked us to stay in the car for our safety but they were fine that we requested to leave the car to walk around as well. They also had the cashier set outside so payment can be processed outdoor and customers don't need to wait inside their office. I could tell they value their customers' safety. All the staff had their masks on and were very friendly. The reason that I took away 1 star was because they used synthetic oil without asking me, which meant I had to pay more. Actually it's fine that means I don't need another oil change so soon. I just thought it would be better if they have asked me first. Or it's a norm here that synthetic oil is automatically used? Here's why I like going to this location: FACILITY - Very clean. TIMING - They are very good with their estimates in how long it may take for the service to be completed. How long it may take is dependent on 1) how many cars are ahead of you, 2) type of service, and 3) how many staff members are working at that time. And usually, they finish earlier than the time they estimated. LOCATION - The 2550 S. Beretania St location has a nearby Longs, restaurants, coffee & boba tea shops that are walking distance away. If you don't want to stick around and wait, you have options to busy yourself while your car is being worked on. CREW - Very professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. I had the privilege of bringing my Toyota Highlander in when Johnnaca was the Team Lead. Johnnaca and her team are amazing! Much mahalos for taking care of me. COMMUNICATION - Whenever my car needs something extra, not only do they let me know, but they also show me why. I feel this is great customer service especially to customers who are not car savvy. Stopped by the Beretania location around 3:30 and saw two lanes were closed, and the other two were open with about 5 cars ahead of me. It was a little confusing at first because the front entrance was locked, however as I poked my head into the bay, Lana greeted me warmly and explained the check in process. Due to crime, they are locking the front entrance to limit crime and protect their customers and employees. I frequent the area and know there's been an increase in homeless activity, but to see it's impact on businesses was an eye opener. The check in process went smoothly and I was able to find a comfortable seat in the waiting area where I could see how hard everyone on staff was working. Kudos to the team here, because it was non-stop, and my car was done in about 40 minutes. Keep in mind that they do not accept appointments, so each persons wait time will vary depending on the number of cars and services requested. While waiting, I overheard an interaction with another customer who was upset about their wait time. Lana was a superstar and was able to quickly calm them down and explain what had happened. The aloha she brings to this location truly makes it unique, and I will definitely keep this location at the top of my list for future vehicle servicing. One thing to note, if you need a safety check, call ahead. On this particular day, the system was down. read more

I have come to this Jiffy lube a few times now and my experience has been nothing but awesome! The staff are super friendly and informative of my choices if needing to change something, or if I can wait a few months. they are sensitive to people who have budget concerns and are mindful of discounts that I could use to help. Not to mention that they are conveniently located and love that they are open early as well. There are a lot of kupuna around the neighborhood and it's nice to know that we still have a business that still look out for local residents and help keep our cars safe on the road. 2 years ago, I took my Buick in for oil change, they torque the drain plug in so tight and stripped the nut head. Not sure how they did it until I took my car in for the next oil change at another shop. They couldn't remove/ extract the drain plug with variety of tools. In the end, I had to take my car to the dealership to have the oil pan replaced with new drain plug. It costed me over $950.00 for the repair and oil change. read more

Jiffy lube used to be good for their signature service, and have the 14 points check to make sure your car is lube and has the necessary fluids. If needed they will top the fluids we service you car. Recently, I went to change oil. Cost about $135. But not sure if they still check those fluids or the 14 points because when I asked the lady what was done, she told me they just changed oil and oil filter. I am not sure if they do the other things anymore. I tried to call and verify, NO ONE answered their phone. If that is all they do is change oil, I can go to any gas station they can do the same thing. As they are short handed, I am not sure they are as good as before. I am losing faith in this company and may be about time to search for another servicing company. My car is important to me. I need it running all the time. Lubing is an important aspect of maintaining the car. read more

I first called the Punchbowl location-twice--and that local guy there answering the phone was so dismissive and impatient so that when he said that they didn't have a big enough lift for my suv to rotate the tires and told me to go to the other locations-I couldn't get off the phone fast enough! I called the Beretania location in Moiliili and Antoine answered- he was the nicest, most professional and customer-friendly person that I have talked to in Honolulu. He had zero attitude and just wanted to make sure that I was comfortable. I know that they don't take appointments but he said he would be in 2 days later so I said that I would come in first thing on the day that he would be working. Fast forward. I came in on appointed day at 7:30 am and asked for Antoine. He explained to me what to expect and was patient and accommodating-- Just an all around positive experience. I waited a little over an hour for the car as there were a few cars ahead of me and I ended up doing several other things other than a straight oil change. This experience was an excellent customer experience in Honolulu and Antoine was a very big part of that. He is a super sharp and easy-going manager. My husband brought the car back a few days later to tighten the lug nuts on the wheels and said the same thing about his professionalism. We have found that many of the local managers here are passive-aggressive with customers, or condescending and we always vote with our repeat business and use our Yelp voices. We will certainly be long-time customers of this Jiffy Lube as long as we are on Oahu and as long as Antoine is there. read more

Hit and miss. Went today and there was no line ! Since I went there before, check in was speedy, gave my keys and sat in the lounge. There were probably 3 people working on my car and it was done in probably 10-12 minutes! After paying my $74 charge for oil change, I hopped in the car ...and floor was not vacuumed (even though at check out, the person said it was). Since by then there were other cars on the service bay behind me, I decided not to make a fuss and just drove off. ...so I suppose I will see how other reviews pan out before returning there again for service. read more

I got charged for something I turned down. I was overcharged on quoted prices. You go in for an oil change then they try to upsell you EVERYTHING. They told me they wouldn't change my oil because there was a hose in the way. I told them the oil had been changed with the hose there before. It took me two hours to get in and out of there. There's absolutely nothing jiffy about their service. They're dishonest and poorly managed. I spent most of my two hour wait remembering why I used them once before and hadn't been back. And lastly the manager had nothing to say about the ridiculous wait time. Save your time and money and go someplace else. I appreciate the experienced and straightforward service that I received today at this Jiffy Lube. I only needed an oil change, but I pointed out some other concerns I had with my car, like low tire pressure and my fuel cap not clicking. The employees are knowledgeable and helpful and checked out my cap, and reassured me it is ok, just old. They also recommended that I replace my tires because they are worn down, which I am glad they pointed out, because I don't pay attention to my car as much as I should. This Jiffy Lube is ALWAYS no ka oi! They took good care of me during the COVID crisis, and their quality has not decreased at all. Today they noticed that I had a car full of groceries, and offered to put the salmon in their refrigerator while they worked on my oil change! Such a nice staff, always pleasant and polite, and if the wait is going to be long, they come out and talk to everybody in line to let them know how long of a wait they can expect, so people can decide whether they want to wait or not.
