I use Jiffy Lube for all my car servicing, but I will never use your services again. I had my car serviced on 6 May 2020 at your 2550 S Beretania St, Honolulu, HI 96826 location. I was very happy with the lady that set up my car servicing and outprocessed me for payment - she was really great and I am sorry I don't know her name. That is the best I can say about this shop. My car was inspected for safety (I guess they check safety systems before they work). Part of that inspection involved battery testing. I was told that I needed a new battery because the power rating was at 50%. I declined this since my battery seemed strong and started my vehicle without any problems. The next morning, 7 May, I became curious as to the battery's age. I lifted my hood and found the following picture. The positive battery cable and terminal was very corroded. So I thought to myself why wouldn't the service technicians tell me about this corrosion. One of the techs could have said something like this. "Oh, your battery terminals are really corroded. That might be the reason why your battery is becoming weaker." We can clean that as we replace your battery." Or, maybe they could have just told me that someone should clean my battery terminals. NOT SAYING ANYTHING IS A CLEAR WAY OF TELLING ME THAT YOUR FOLKS DON'T CARE ABOUT ME AS A CUSTOMER, OR MY CAR. It gets better. I wipe down and clean my car engine and the rubber tubing under the hood on a monthly basis. This car is nine years old and you may notice the black surfaces are rather clean except for the bluish drippings on the surfaces - sloppy. I found a cigarette butt in the catch area under my hood and near my wipers. How did that get there in the last 12 hours??! Looks to me like it was PLACED there. I looked to see if there was a way it could get to that location and it only leads me to believe it was placed there. I should have really started looking at the engine and other areas before paying for the service. I should have stopped right away when I saw my door handle area was dirty. I cleaned this with some liquid wax cleaner before leaving your car lot. Needless to say, I'M NEVER GOING BACK TO ANY OF THEIR STORES and I will make it my mission to tell my friends about this shoddy work. Gosh, I hope they really changed my oil, brake fluid drain and radiator. Maybe I should take my car to the Honda dealer. I will admit that these concerns of mine might not be so alarming, but I feel for certain they are indications that your employees don't give a care about my car, and I question the quality of work I pay them to do. Did they really change my oil, did they change my filter?.... So you can see my concerns. read more

We own a small contracting business and usually bring our company fleet to do oil changes at this location. Normally we love the convenience and service the crew provides. Today we brought two vehicles in for routine oil changes. It was pretty busy and the line was just spilling out onto the street. There was one guy, Michael walking around with a clipboard and he told us he would be with us when he was through checking in another customer. We unloaded our two dogs and my husband and I followed Michael up to the computer. My husband was standing just outside of the shop when he felt something liquid spray on him. It hit him on one shoulder, all over a car next to him a some went into his eye. He thought it was water at first and looked in the direction it came from. A woman named Ceara was standing holding a nozzle and she said "Oh, sorry!". He asked what it was and she said it was oil. Everyone stood staring at us, I guess, stunned. We asked Michael for something to wipe it up and he went inside and then came out with a red shop rag. He said it doesn't look clean but he assured us it was. There were spots of oil all over my husband's shirt, pants and shoes. There was even a couple of spots on our dog. Michael said he would give us a $10 discount. We were taken aback that with all the safety training they claim to have, there was no offer to rinse out my husband's eye or any other action taken to see if he was all right. He's a tough guy and can take a lot but there was such a lack of concern for his well being. The workers were more worried about cleaning up the car that got sprayed than checking if my husband was alright. We went to walk our dogs and came back to sit in the waiting room. TEO HOURS later our vehicles were ready! This trip took a whole 2-1/2 hours for both of our cars. I'm not sure why it took so long this time. Both cars had basic oil changes done and there were plenty of workers in the shop. While we waited, my husband said his one eye was starting to get irritated and his vision started to blur. When we paid for our cars, we explained to the cashier what happened and asked for the manager. She said the the manager wasn't in but gave me Paula's phone number. We asked for the assistant manager and she said that was Ceara, the gal that shot the oil at my husband. We explained that we were not going to sue or anything but we wanted to let the manager know what happed and that we made an appointment with our eye doctor to make sure everything was okay. I called Paula as we left and it went to her voice mail. I left a message that there was an incident that just happened and I wanted to let her know what happened. It's now 7:00PM and no call back. Fortunately our eye doctor checked my husband's eye and it was irritated but it wasn't serious. He gave my husband some eye drops and it should be better tomorrow. He said if it was antifreeze, it would have been very If we got a "I'm really sorry, are you alright?" from any of the workers, Michael, Ceara or the cashier, we would have felt better. All we got from Ceara was "It was an honest mistake!". Two people called us to talk about the incident from their corporate office. They were sincerely concerned and offer us complementary oil changes the next time we need it. We were relieved that the lack of care didn't extend up to their top management. We will probably give them another chance. read more

Everytime I come to this location I am treated like family. As a woman who has no interest in learning how to fix my car, I appreciate the honesty from everyone at this location. They are very thorough in making sure that I am only paying for and getting services that my car ACTUALLY needs. I have gone to different mechanics in the past and have paid for things that I was told my car needed only to speak to my brother/ boyfriend and find out it either isn't usually that expensive or is something I didn't need. This location always makes sure to explain everything. They are honest and tell me which things can wait. They also tell me which things that personally wouldn't wait on or if they have to wait how long they would wait before getting it fixed. I always feel like I am talking with a friend here. Ryan is always so sweet and very thorough making sure to top off any fluids and checking my breaks and tires even though they don't do tires. He also gave me recommendations of where to go and who to talk to about my tires. The manager here is also amazing. She goes around making sure everyone is taken care of and treated like family. She makes sure all the customers understand what is being done with their car and the wait. She frequently updates customers on their wait times. She is always extremely friendly and very easy to talk too. This is the only place I recommend and go to for my car! read more

Very grateful that Jiffy Lube was open on this Christmas Eve as my dashboard light showed a battery issue. Turns out not only did I need a new battery but the alternator had been draining the battery. Jiffy Lube quickly replaced the critical part but wasn't able to fix the alternator as their mechanic is on a big job. While they couldn't fix everything today, they referred me to a shop down the street. But I'll probably go back to Motor Imports since they just serviced my car not two weeks ago. Of course they won't be open until after Christmas, sigh! Convenient location, friendly knowledgeable staff, clean waiting area, and quick service ... I was in and out in about 20 minutes ... makes Jiffy Lube worth every star. read more

I arrived a bit after 7A (Tuesday) and waited only a short time to be taken care of. Every person who assisted me was kind and courteous. I was grateful they could fit me in for a safety inspection, along with my oil change, as I tried to call several times on previous days but no answer. I realize that during these times they may be short staffed and not able to take calls that's why I decided just to show up (for safety inspection) and went early. Because of the safety inspection, I needed to be out of my car, so they offered to bring a chair outside, so I could work using my computer while waiting. I've been trying to find a reliable place to have my breaks looked at and my oil changed. I had multiple places on the island try and charge me $130 just for an oil change on a 2005 Toyota Highlander. Lana and Iman (last name love) made me feel very taken care of. Many mechanics have tried to take advantage of me because I'm a women and I don't know jack about cars. I was very stressed out and the jiffy lube team completely obsolved me of my worries. Lana helped my daughter learn the basics of what's what under the hood so she better care for her car. Her car is a hand me down so we don't know much about its service. Getting your car serviced is never fun.. especially when you have to wait for HOURS... I am a reasonable lady, I know that it takes time for these kind of things to be done. I dropped off my car at 7 am, right when they open. There were a few cars already there, but no more than maybe 5 other cars. I dropped off my car and they told me that they'd call me when my car is finished being serviced. I went back home since I live right up the road and waited for the phone call that my car was finished (I didn't receive a phone call what so ever btw), and after about 4 hrs of waiting I decided to call the shop. No one answered the phone. After calling about 4 times I just went down to the shop to see if my car was finished. When I got there, I saw my car sitting in the back where finished cars are. I went inside and no one was there to help me. I asked the people who were also waiting around if there was anyone there to help them and they told me they were waiting for a while for help too. I waiting for about 15 min at the shop until someone helped me. Ridiculous. They didn't even call me to let me know my car was finished. Who knows how long it could have been finished. No one should ever have to wait such a ridiculous time to get their car serviced or receive help. I know it's just a jiffy lube, but I expected a little bit more. Maybe they were understaffed? Had an oil/filter change here and the technican over tightened filter. I had to go to company to get filter removed without damaging the car. The supervisor at jiffy lube wasn't the most friendliest. I would not recommend going to this jiffy lube. On a positive note. The new workers here work really hard and try provide the best service as possible. The sales advisors also try to save to asking if you have any coupons to save you money. Overall I would rate this place a 1.5 read more

I told my husband how horrible this place was. Four years ago, I had a similar incident where I had to get my car fixed after taking it here. To fix my car after they "fixed" it. They, of course, did not own up to their mistakes. Husband didn't listen to me and brought his car here. And here we are now-- Angry wife writing a review on side of the freeway waiting for someone to fix our car. Came in for a simple oil change and tire rotation. 2 hours later, left and got on freeway. Car felt weird and something was not right. I looked in my rearview mirror and back tire was wobbling around. This could have been a major accident!!!!!! I am so thankful we pulled over immediately and nothing worse happened. I am so livid. This is a safety issue. With all these horrible reviews, how is this jiffy lube still in business? The first lesson is: don't go here. The second, and probably most important lesson of your life: listen to your wife. She is always right. read more
