It's always a hard ball SCAM. I had a terrible experience here with the sales lady. I came to change my battery as I was having issues in starting my car. They gave me a price for the new battery (which they showed me) and their services which I accepted the price of $195. Once they installed the battery, the sales women said, I'm sorry but the price is now $265. I asked why the change of price? She answered well the system gave me a different price now. I then asked why had the same system she checked before and now after had changed in a matter of minutes? She then tries to lie in front of my face when I look at their system that I was getting a grey battery when the one in my car (which the mechanic showed me) was black/green and priced $195 on the monitor. She then says it's the same model of grey battery and hard balls me in saying, you either pay it, or we will put back your old battery that won't start you car. Angry and confused... I go back to my car and check the battery again to see if the number is indeed the same as the grey one but just a different color, it was not. I start to say that they can then uninstall the new one before she finally then comes up with the final price of $201 claiming her manager changed the price for me. I checked again, and the battery I placed in my car was indeed the correct price of $165 and with a service fees comes out to $195...it's always a fucking scam. Because I am a women, I don't have a lot of knowledge about cars, she tried to take advantage of it, and this location is the classic example of people trying to change the price and hard ball someone into accepting a different price once they put the battery into the car. The mechanic apologized as it was something out of his control, and KNEW IT WAS NOT RIGHT TO DO THAT. Shame on you, sales lady. read more

This review is for Jiffy Lube store #2609, Atlantic Coast Enterprises, 8295 Biscayne Blvd. They put the wrong size filter without a seal on my son's car. Oil leaked everywhere into the engine compartment and on the ground. When we took the car to another shop, the mechanics were shocked. The filter didn't even tighten into place. Whoever did the job had to know that they were making an error. This was not a simple innocent oversight or honest mistake. Thankfully, my son noticed the leak and caught the issue before the engine was blown or the car caught on fire. I see a series of bad reviews. From my experience with this establishment, I assume that the reviews are accurate. The staff needs to be retrained, be more cautious, and take pride in their work before one of their mistakes kills someone. read more

This place is a SCAM. They always try to upsale you. I went yo get my oil changed and had a coupon. I made SURE they didn't do anything before telling me the price. Once they told me I said that I didn't want the signature synthetic oil change, but that I had a coupon for the blend. I showed the guy the coupon. When the service was done, a lady came around to hand me the bill which was way higher than what I was expecting to pay, I mentioned that I had a coupon and showed it before hand, and that was the price I was expecting to pay. The lady takes the bill and walks away begrudgingly. I hear her argue with the mechanic saying that he always does that. Then I hear the GUY saying that I showed him another coupon!! Outrageous!!! Basically calling me a liar. Because they ended putting in the signature oil in the first place. I was very upset and told them would never come back here, because there is always something. The office doesn't seem to communicate with the mechanics properly and when the service is done and the bill comes around, they bring you NOT unsolicited services but it NEVER matches the actual service done and is always wrong. DO NOT GO HERE if you are a woman!!! I had gotten my oil changed at this Jiffy Lube on July 22, 2020. A few weeks later my oil light came on and my car started making this weird ticking sound which was very strange because I had just paid $68 for an oil change. More time passes and I had to add oil a couple of times after that. I rarely use my car thanks to Covid so I didn't stress about it too much. Then the holidays came around. I usually fly to South Carolina but to be safe I decided to drive. During my trip that ticking sound got really bad. So as soon as I arrived in SC, I decided to get it checked out. I wanted to make sure I was safe to drive back to Miami To explain, my mom lives in a super small town where everyone knows each other's name and she even used to work with the shop manager at Abbeville Tire and Battery. It only made sense to take my car there because my mom has a professional working relationship with the shop manager. The Abbeville mechanic was kind enough to show my mom and I where the leak was coming from and explain everything. Apparently, the last oil change I had gotten (at Jiffy Lube) the mechanic striped the drain plug to my oil pan. Typically, my vehicle would use a single over sized drain plug however, the damage was so significant that this part would no longer seal the oil pan gasket. He then tried a double over sized drain plug and it was still not sufficient to seal the oil pan gasket. I ended up having to replace NOT ONLY the drain plug but also the oil pan gasket which cost me $400. When I got back to Miami, I spoke with the store manager at Jiffy Lube, Henry. Saying this gentleman was unprofessional would be an understatement. When I explained that I had to replace my oil pan gasket due to a mistake on his part he immediately began to demine me and say that I was "taken advantage of because I am a woman." Now, I don't know a lot about cars but for him to say that was extremely offensive and rude. My mom has worked in the car industry for over 25 years and I am smart enough to know when something serious is wrong with my vehicle. I even showed him my old oil pan gasket which CLEARLY someone attempted to fix by patching it and the store manager, Henry proceeded to grab the part from me to try and remove the plug. When he was trying to remove the plug, it took significant effort because the assembly was so striped. He also REFUSED to open a claim because "I only needed to replace the drain plug." Had that been an option and ensured my safety during a 700-mile trip I would have obviously chosen to save money. Overall, I am just grateful that I didn't blow my engine or get in an accident. Not a fan of this place because I prefer true auto mechanics changing my oil but it was open on Sunday and I used the Groupon. It was quick and they did try to sell me air filters but I said I'd replace them myself and they didn't push it. My one complaint is that they didn't properly fill the tires with air. My low tire light was on and they didn't even add enough air for it to turn off. Other than that, no complaints. Don't expect them to wear masks or wear them properly. Its hot in there. read more

Elizabeth was awesome, she knew exactly what my factory milestones were and priced everything accordingly.... My mechanic Micheal is one of the coolest young dudes I've ever met, he explained everything to a tee and has a great attitude. Even gave me some maintenance tips! I spent over $500 here but it felt like they were doing me a favor. Micheal even guided my car out the bay to make sure I didn't get in an accident after the work was done. DO NOT GO HERE! IT IS A COMPLETE SCAM! Believe the reviews. I bought a $70 groupon for a full synthetic oil change. The lady, Elizabeth (scammer), told me I needed to replace the oil filter for $50 extra, which I later found out is INCLUDED in the oil change. She also told me I needed a new air filter which I said I will replace another time. Tell me why I watched the guy put back in the OLD oil filter after this IDIOT Elizabeth already charged my card for an oil filter which should already be included, AND my receipt had another $50 charge for the air filter that was never replaced and I said I didn't want. When I asked for my receipt nobody would come back to the car. They emailed it to me and I had paid another $70 on top of my $70 groupon for absolutely NOTHING. They won't refund me either. *Don't let them hustle you* Once that is out of the way, you'll find that the mechanics here are pretty nice and polite. Quick oil changes. I waited maybe 15-20 minutes in the middle of the day. A little pricey for synthetic oil (close to $100) but if you're going in for a conventional oil change, it will range from $45-60. This does not include the $30 fee to flush out the old oil so just make sure they explain every charge and that they are being as transparent as possible. Stand firm regarding the services you want. They'll put air in your tires for free. Topping off of fluids ranges from $5-10 extra. Again, expect them to try to sell you extra services, that is just the nature of these kinds of establishments. read more

PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR CAR! 2 hours for a routine service, once "the car was done" and I was given my invoice, I noticed they never completed my tire rotation. When i questioned the manager she told me if im willing to wait in line again they will complete the tire rotation. Mind you i was charged $25 for a tire rotation that was never completed. If I did not watch the car the entire time, question the manager and wait in line a second time they would have charged me an extra $25 for a service that was never performed. My car was dying for an oil change, so I googled the closed Jiffy Lube to my house, and this location came up. Normally, I take my car to the dealer when it needs an oil change, cause inevitably, it usually needs a couple other things fixed too. But this time, I didn't want to spend the time or money to go out there, so Jiffy Lube to the rescue!! I got here pretty early on a Saturday morning, and there were already several cars ahead of me. No worries, cause I brought some reading materials. But the waiting area disappointed being that it was about 10 chairs crammed into the tiniest space imaginable. The service was very friendly. My tecnician took all my information and even tried in vain to find me in their system (I've been a Jiffy Lube customer before, just not in quite a while...). They, of course, tried to sell me a new air filter, and this time I figured "why not?" After my car got into the bay, it took maybe 30 minutes for them to change the oil. Turns out, neither this location, nor the one a few blocks north had my air filter, so I didn't get one after all. Jiffy Lube could've very easily just kept my old one in and charged me for a new one, and I never would've known the difference. I appreciate my technician's honesty, and for that reason, I will return for my next recommended oil change! read more

So, I've been getting oil changes at Jiffy lube for the past 13 years I've had my car, in California. Just came here to Miami, and stopped in the get the oil changed. Instead of the usual upsell of Jiffy lube services, I got the guy insisting I take my car to be fixed by his "brother" before he'd change the oil, even though there's nothing wrong with it. No way. Then why did they tell me that they don't have brake fluid and that I should go buy some? Its Jiffy Lube. They will upsell you - its their JOB to do that. They will not string you up by your thumbs or wreck your car if you say no to the extra services. The place is clean - waiting room is a little small, but you are out of there in under 30 minutes, and its Miami, go OUTSIDE, its not snowing for crying out loud. You go to Jiffy lube for a fast oil change (hence the name Jiffy Lube) - not overall car maintenance. That would be like going to Burger King and complaining about lack of vegetarian menu options and lack of a maitre'd. I made the mistake of going here for an oil change. I was fine with waiting over an hour and paying around $100, because that was my fault for going to a Jiffy Lube. What I'm not fine with is the pure incompetence with which they did the oil change. First I noticed a scraping noise shortly after having the change, which ended up being part of my undercar shield that they had forgotten to refasten and ended up getting ripped off while driving. Then I noticed that they had somehow managed to lose my brake fluid filler cap, which on top of being dangerous to drive without is also a pain to track down and needs to be special ordered. You would think if they are not opening on Easter Sunday (which is understandable), the least they could do is to let customers know. I got there at 9:30am and it was closed - no signs or notice at the store or in the internet's schedule, stayed in the area and called at 10:05am , no answer. The again at 11:15am, still no answer. ****NEVER AGAIN*** This locations has some serious customer service challenges. Absolutely terrible service. Went in for an oil change and waited about 30 min. She then told me it was going to upwards of $200. They "replaced" multiple things without asking. So I had to sit there and wait for them to put an air filter back in on top of a couple other things because I never asked for those to be changed. They were just gonna charge me the $200 without even telling me. Then when I asked to be put back because I wasn't paying for that she told me that it was too late that I had agreed to it.
