These guys are awesome. I called in on Sunday morning around 9am, got there at 9:15am and was done at 9:30am. Oh and the best part of this is that they did not charge me a dime. I went there because I accidentally added too much oil in the car, and wanted the excess to be drained. The guys who looked at the car took the time to chat with me regarding what happens when you have a little bit too much oil. They did not try to up sell me as I have read in many other comments. They did not even charge me! Frankly, these guys are fast, knowledgeable, friendly, and honest. I will go there again for sure. read more

Dropped off my car for an car check up, oil change and tire rotation. Left for some food, came back to pick up the car, paid $105 for services, and left. It all seemed painless enough. Then the problems started rolling in. First, the car floors were not vacuumed but I thought, "Meh, not worth it to turn around; we've gone too far." Then I realized that the tire pressure warning light was still on. Had to schlep it back to the Jiffy Lube. In the end, the floors got vacuumed and the tire pressure rechecked (and yep - they had failed to actually check the tires and wound up pumping more air). But now I'm wondering, "How do I know that the tires got rotated? How do I know that the oil was actually changed? Is my car going to die?!?" Blech - what a headache. Never going back. read more

I stopped in today for an oil-change, and also I knew that one of my tail lights was out but not sure which one. The team that helped me was incredibly courteous, fast, and helpful. I was there for probably only 15 minutes, got the oil change and the light taken care of. They also were so kind and friendly it made my day a little brighter. Very quick and efficient. Got in at 6:25 PM and out at 6:45 PM. I was greeted upon arrival and was passed a clipboard and pen while still sitting in my car. I filled out the paper work and proceeded to the lobby where I was given a quote for my oil and transmission fluid change. Had a cup of fresh coffee and watched a bit of TV in the lobby and 20 minutes later I was told my car was ready. They gave my windows a quick clean and gave me a heads up that my brake fluid was slightly on the low side and to keep an eye on it. Will definitely be back again for my next oil change. Huh. Interesting. I like how everything is super fast. People are friendly... workmanship is okay, I don't really have complaints. I went to get my boyfriend's 2008 Civic Si's oil changed. They don't have 5W-30 oil, which is what his car needs. They also seem to be more expensive than just going to the Honda dealership and getting an oil change there. They really do nickel and dime you at this place, something that I never really experienced at the dealerships. Honestly, this place isn't bad. HOWEVER if you drive a newer Civic and need an oil change, skip this place and go to a Honda dealership because it's going to be around the same price, the dealership will have your oil, and they won't be trying to tack on extra services and products (because it will come with the oil change). Oh, and the coffee and drinks are better. But seriously... you really want me to pay $40-someodd for lower grade oil when I can get something better PLUS extra services for free for the same price at the Honda dealership, who knows a lot about Hondas? HAHAHA you guys are nice and fast, but customer service and turnover isn't everything. read more

The service was super quick, literally 10 min for oil and filter change and all the other minor services they include... The only thing was that when I pulled up they didn't seem to want me there - ;)- said it would take an hour at least.. Also upsell hard on fancier Oils and filter I might or might not need - it was ~100/ oil change which is a lot more then expected But quick service is worth a lot to me!!! read more

This place sucks. It used to be better (I took my car here for years for oil changes), but at some point I think they changed management and the last few times I went, it was awful. They would literally run through the checklist with things like "cleaned windshield" or "topped off wiper fluid" or "inflated tires" and then you'd get to your car and none of those things were actually done (the windshield was untouched, wiper fluid reservoir still nearly empty, tire still underinflated). You also get the typical Jiffy Lube upsell on additional services when you come here. Definitely not recommended. I hear from my friends that both the Jiffy Lube further north on El Camino (near San Antonio) and the one further south on El Camino are much better. read more

I jiffy'd in here this weekend to have the headlight bulb changed in my Chevy Malibu. It was great to see a young lady working in this industry. Needless to say she learned how to change a headlight bulb this weekend. Both she and the young man working with her needed the manager, i think his name was Regulen, come and bail them out. Light bulb was changed, I was happy but was surprised at the $27 cost for the quick short job. Well, I happy to get the bulb changed cuz you know I don't want no "fix it ticket." Thank you Jiffy Lube and thank you young lady, keep up the good work and young lady, don't forget to get those greasy nails cleaned, don't let your nails get permanently stained with that car grease look. read more

Came in for a oil change a few weeks ago. Pulled up and was quickly approached. He asked what he could help me with today. He said he'd take a look and to go sit inside. Which I gladly did because it looked like it had AC and it was a million degrees outside. Finally, after about 10 minutes he came in and said that my poor car didn't have any oil at all! (although, i know nothing about cars, i know that this was bad... opps). He said they could fill it up to the right amount and it was about 3-4 dollars a quart, and my car needed about 3 quarts. Sure.. whatever you need to do to keep him (yes, him. My cars name is Stewart) running. I left spending about 12 dollars which was less than I thought. Although, I probably should have had them check all the other fluids and such in the car... It was a good experience, they made it really easy and fast. read more

This place is pathetic. I drove up today hoping that it would be a quick oil change. There was just one car in front and the attendant told me it would take over 2 hours to do a simple oil change. I asked how many cars were ahead and he said only 2. With 4-5 employees around, I find it hard to believe that it would take more than 2 hours to finish up the two cars ahead of me and get to mine. This is not a full auto repair shop. They focus just on oil changes and other basic repairs. Seems like these guys didn't want to work today. I only went here once, so I may have been lucky, but I'd like to say that my experience was so great I would come again! My Story: Driving home from work, my car's tire pressure warning system went on @ 5:50pm. It was below 22psi (Should be 32-35). I thought I had a flat and all the mechanic shops would surely close by the time I got to them. Testing my luck I turned into Jiffy Lube and a kind man came out from what he was doing. I told him of my problem "No oil change. I'm just worried my tire's been punctured and need it checked". He said "Sure, no problem". Even though they were closing in ten minutes, he was willing to provide his services to me! Wow! A few minutes later, they take my car, vacuum it, clean the windows, and start checking the tires and things under the hood. I was almost sure that someone was going to tell me there's something that I need fixed, or I should also consider buying. Nope! He comes back, tells me there was no puncture, that they filled the tires with air back to the recommended pressure, and that it was at no cost. What an amazing experience! This guy is a real asset to this company. They should be proud of his genuine kindness and true customer service ethic! read more

The place was empty. I drove in with my Explorer. The technician asked the year and engine size + number of cylinders. A minute later came out saying that he did not have the filter for my car. He pointed me to 2 close by Jiffy Lube. I said to myself, I'll come back next week (this place is very convenient for me). I went back yesterday and the same story. Today I drove to another one. I had the Signature oil service today and was impressed. It was my first time going to Jiffy Lube. I live three blocks away and had gone to the place across the street from them several times and was always on guard because the guy at the desk would present me with a list of things that were supposedly faulty with my car and pressure me to do the work there. (Side note: he worked at Midas before and did the same thing there but I had a diagnostic at AAA and was told he made all those things up - my car was running fine.) Anyway, the guys at Jiffy area quick, super freindly, their waiting area is clean and the price is right. And best of all, their customers can come back anytime to have the fluids topped off...for free! I rarely write Yelp reviews but these guys deserve it. Look for their coupons, too. read more

Not recommended at all. It's not worth risking your car to this company, I say this after having been a customer for years then due to their incompetence they caused my wife's car to leak badly and catch fire when the oil contacted the hot catalytic converter and engulfed can the car in flames. She got out safely but the car was totaled and Jiffy Lube management told me on the phone that they have an army of lawyers and can defeat any lawsuit for their negligence. We have documentation of everything in this post, police and fire reports, insurance company investigation and we even had the dealership thoroughly examine the vehicle and verify that Jiffy Lube was completely at fault. (The last time I checked, no car dealership I know has an army of lawyers and they don't wreck any of our cars.) The long story is that I brought my wife's car here regularly because she was helping to open a new set of stores and was working very odd, extended hours for a few years. Every six months like clockwork I would find a moment where I could get her car away from her and run it to this Jiffy Lube for a quick oil and filter change. This last visit I took her car there in the afternoon, they came out and told me that they looked up "the records" and found that the fuel filter had not been changed according to Toyota guidelines (this is not true, modern Toyotas do not have a regularly scheduled fuel filter change because modern gas is clean), I fell for it and told them to change the filter. They then came out and told me that the transmission fluid was burned and needed to be replaced along with its filter (I found out later that this was nearly impossibly because I had it changed not that long ago) once again they seemed so sincere and knowledgeable that I fell for it and approved the transmission oil to be changed (yes that fluid is a type of oil). I noticed that a lot of other customers came and went and my wife's car was still in there being worked on. I spoke to the lead guy and he said he was struggling with the fuel filter (a task I have done on my other cars in two minutes) and I couldn't have the car back because it wouldn't start right now (true). I noticed that all the boxes of fuel filters were on the floor and there were new filters out of the box on the filter floor (the dirt and grime was obvious when I got up close). I told the lead person/manager that it was a bad idea to have filters on the ground because the dirt could get inside them and be bad for the engine (absolutely true), he realized his mistake and picked them up but not before shooing me out of the service area. He insisted that customers could not be in the service area, I told him something was obviously wrong and I wanted to watch. He refused to give me access and said I had to look through the window (which is positioned so you can't actually see any details of what they are doing. They closed the shop but were still working on my wife's car for another hour, struggling with the transmission oil and it's filter. He finally finished and couldn't get the car started. I went into the service area and got it started (it had always started on the first try and had been perfectly reliable) but the engine ran very roughly. He apologized and told me that they aren't really mechanics, just people they hire off the street and show them how to sell the customers, then incidentally they are shown how to barely get the service done. He apologized some more and said he was surprised that he still worked there because it was the sixth car that he ruined that year. He wrote an 800 telephone number on my receipt, he signed it alongside the number and told me the folks at the 800 would pay my dealer to fix my wife's car correctly. I believed him but to be honest I should have walked away and left the car there. I had lost my job several months earlier and sold my car so I didn't have to keep making payments. My wife's very modest salary was the only income we had at the time so the next day I took her car to the dealership where they said that dirt had clogged four of the six injectors (obviously from Jiffy Lubes mishandling of the filters), the repair cost $2,000 which I had to put on a credit card. I called the 800 number to tell them That the car was in the shop but they said they don't take responsibility for customer's cars unless they are stuck in their shop overnight. My wife takes the car to work, at 11PM I get a call that the car had caught fire. The fire department examined the car and said there was no doubt that jiffy lube left the transmission pan bolts loose and the transmission oil sprayed the catalytic converter and burned the car to the ground. After two years of battling, I gave up because I ran out of money. Jiffy Lube's army of lawyers won. Beware! Jiffy Lube is owned by PennzOil, who sells a lot of oil this way and who also told me they were not going to make this right and that they never lost a lawsuit. Beware! read more

Beware... I took my car there for a quick oil change only as I was trying to sell my used car. They were nice, jiffy, and not overly pushy about additional services (which may have been because I was clear about my intent to sell). I left there happy. Later that day a prospective buyer was interested in my car, and wanted her mechanic to check it out. He has it up on the rack and asks "did you have an oil change recently." He showed me what he had found. The guys at Jiffy lube had been too lazy to remove the undershield to get at the drain and oil filter properly. So as a result they just let the oil pour all over the undershield. *And* they didnt even clean it up. The conclusion I drew was that they will always favor speed over quality and even correctness. And clearly they knew the state they left it in, but never expected me to see it. Given all the other services they offer, there is a lot of various corners they can cut, most with more disastrous consequences than my oily undershield. read more

I have used other locations of jiffy lube perhaps 15 times. This location is particularly bad compared to others. Service is slow. Staff attitude is not good. All other locations i've been to have very courteous staff. Not this location. Upon handing the car to the staff, the staff found that i have a dash cam in car and they felt uneasy about it, referring to it as a candid camera. Three staff members were there, and there was only one customer, me. Yet, only one person was working on my car. In other locations, usually two to three would work on it at the same time. In other locations, you feel that a Jiffy team is actively working on your car, sometimes counter-checking or collaboration on some task (e.g. one check on the air pressure label, and another pumping air into the tires). Not here. It seemed very quiet. Suddenly, my car was out of the shop. It was completed! I did not see them checking much anything on my car. I cannot say I was watching them 100% of the time but I saw no report of any n-point check result. I was asked to pay, and I was told that my car needed 5.2 quarts of oil, so they charged me about 2 dollars more. This has never happened to me in other Jiffy Lubes or in Valvoline (in Iowa, which is the best). Nobody ever charged me more than standard. Upon departure, I asked the person in charge there if they knew what tire pressure was needed in my car. He wasn't sure and had to guess. I believe they never checked the tire pressure. Well, just the lack of courtesy of the staff makes me not to want to go back there again, not to mention the inadequate service provided and the overcharging. Went for Signature Oil Change on Honda Civic, as I have been going there for many years with various cars. In the past they have been honest and competent. Well all that has changed! At least the honest part has. The service writer, Ted M. tried to up sell me on everything, including the type of oil (high grade synthetic) he said was "required" by the manufacturer and a myriad of other bogus services! Ted is a complete con man. He makes the whole business look sleazy. I spoke to the manager Thomas, who was very nice and apologized and offered to make things right. Be careful of the service writer Ted as he is a shyster and will try to rip you off for as much as he thinks he can get away with! read more

Sloppy work. Told falsehoods to avoid work. Left message with owner and never got a call back. Don't risk your car here. Specifically, they said you don't need to get an oil change since you use synthetic oil and your oil looks good. I never used synthentic oil, and when I called the corporate center later, they confirmed that on my previous visits I had never used synthetic oil. They also recorded my mileage down wrong by about 2K. Good thing I double checked! Not getting a call back from the owner / company was the thing that absolutely killed the chance of me going to jiffy lube again. read more

$65 oil change that takes 1.5 hours. Charged for 8 quarts of oil even though my car has 6 quart capacity. What's to complain about.

The wait is long they need more manpower. I was told wait is 40mins. And suggest to go to other jiffy lube location, they need to work on they're customer service approach. After trying a few different Bay Area places- this one seems good (at least the Sunday crew in today). They are super professional, fast, and reasonable on price. Today they took care of me- topped of on fluids, tires pressure, etc - checked everything out and didn't try to sell or push anything I didn't need on me. They do the job and pretty quickly, but this is now the 2nd time they've gotten grease on the interior, and I have to point it out to them (they don't take the initiative to clean up their own mistake). Honestly I go there only because of the convenience, but they were unable to completely remove this most recent grease spot so I may have to move on to someplace else. read more

I change my own oil. The first few times I came in to dump my old oil, Jiffy Lube was very friendly and let me get rid of my oil and filter with no problem. Then, there must have been a policy change or something because now when I go to drop off my oil, all the employees gather and stare at me like I'm doing something wrong, and when I ask to dump my oil, they are very reluctant to let me do so (even though they are required to by law), asking me how much oil I need to dump as though there's some sort of limit (which there legally cannot be). They try their hardest to make me feel as uncomfortable as possible dumping my oil, probably so I'll let them change it for me. But given that I have the skills to change it myself, paying someone else to do it would be pointless. I really wish they were more friendly and open about letting people drop off their used oil. read more

Do NOT trust these guys. The ones in the front who are so nice and friendly and explain everything are NOT the ones doing the work. The work is conducted by a bunch of high school kids that do notcare about you or your car. I don't write reviews, but people need to be warned about the level of car service you get here. They will give you back your car in worse shape than you left it. I have had two cars destroyed by these guys. My compact car was serviced by these guys, and the replacement air filter they installed was imaginary. They just took the old one out and left nothing in it's place! They didn't even seal up the box, left it wide open for me to notice next time I checked my oil. I had to replace it myself as well as the O2 sensor sucking in dirty air killed. Who knows what else all the miles of breathing unfiltered air did to the cylinders! Before I swore these guys off I also took in my full size van for a $500+ "full service" with radiator flush, full fluid check, air filter, yada yada whatever they wanted I paid for. Now, after only driving it about 1500 miles, I just took it to Mieneke for a check before a long drive and the report is "When was this thing last serviced?! The radiator is just water; differential won't even hold anything; power steering, oil, and trans fluid is black. You're looking at about $600 just to clean it up, never mind fixing all the leaks!" I am headed back to Jiffy lube with my $500 "full service" receipt and mieneke's statement, to shut these car murderers down! read more

2 weeks ago I called twice before going to check how busy they were and no one answered but since it wasn't too far I showed up there only to have the mechanic try and send me to another Jiffy Lube as he thought the wait was going to be long. Today they were uncrowded so I was able to get an oil and wiper blade change done without wait. But as soon as I drove out to the road something fell off my car. It was the cover for the oil compartment ! I went back and they tried to claim that the car was missing nuts for the cover when it came in, but this was the 6th oil change at Jiffy Lube and they never reported missing nuts. I went back on the road to see if the nuts fell off as well and to my horror I found my old wiper blades on the road. Like forgetting to screw the oil cover they must have left the old wiper blades somewhere underneath the car ! After my last extended set of services performed at this Jiffy Lube I also had some car trouble develop. I wanted them to check if it was because of anything they didn't do properly like use differential fluid not recommended for my car, they had me wait 30 minutes before checking the car and finding nothing. They promised to have a manager call me back when he had "real mechanics" but no one ever did. Overall seems like either they are very understaffed or have careless mechanics. The mechanic from the last time tried to be helpful, but the one today didn't offer anything other than Sorry. The management doesn't seem to care. I'm not going here again and wouldn't recommend anyone going to this place. read more

Terrible service station. I went in for a standard oil change. Regretfully I didn't check their work before I left the station. I soon smelt burning oil as I drove and checked under the hood. I saw that there was oil splashed all about my engine block, covering the spark plug wires and smoking on my exhaust shield. I cleaned up their mess and soon found that my car was often overheating. I took it to a second service station and found that the oil had damaged a number of system components in my car. The cost to get everything repaired was $575.00. I thought I was saving a few dollars going to a Jiffy Lube shop with a coupon in order to maintain my car, that cost me so much more. Avoid at all costs. read more

I've been going to this place for almost 2 years. People are usually nice and friendly and take time to explain things when I have questions. I even accidentally gave them an out of state coupon and they were nice enough to take it without quibbling...what is a quib anyway?
