The people here were fast and friendly. Matt at this Jiffy Lube was great. He explained everything...that my trans axle fluid was low and that I could get free fill ups until it was fixed. But what impressed me was that after driving the car out from the garage he cleaned the windows a bit (touch up) as it was in the light and he could see a few spots. I visit Port Townsend frequently, and there is just something about the seaside Victorian arts community that makes me think: "This car needs an oil change." Maybe it's the convenient location on the way in to town but, for whatever reason, this is where I've been taking my car for oil changes, despite living in Seattle. I am pleased to say the PT Jiffy Lube does a great job. They are efficient, courteous and delivered exactly what I asked for without the desperate up-sell you would expect from Jiffy Lube. Jiffy Lube in Port Townsend has become my defacto auto mechanic first stop. I take my van in for an oil change, and they check everything for me and tell me what I need to get fixed. So when my van was running poorly and the check engine light was on, I took it to them first. They ran some diagnostics and determined that it just needed a minor adjustment. Van running great but then, they say...NO CHARGE! I'm like, "Whaaaaaa??" So I bought them a Gift Card for a round of beer at a local brew pub. I have had good experiences at this Jiffy Lube- the young men who've helped me have always been extremely polite and professional. Today, however, was totally above and beyond. I pulled up, almost in tears. I'd run the coolant/antifreeze way too low in my car and it was running REALLY badly. I thought it was toast. Dan recognized that my car was in "limp mode" because I had disconnected the battery. (Some VW "feature") He was really reassuring, and as he looked under he hood, he noticed the air intake thingamajig had come unhooked. He helped me wrestle it back on, even though it was all bent out of shape (and totally not his problem) Now my car is running perfectly again! I have always had a mediocre experience at Jiffy Lube. Tonight I came in after having a difficult experience with an oil change from somewhere else where my oil pan bolt was stripped. Russ and John not only got the bolt out, was able to change my oil (when the other vendor could not), replaced the bolt, but also fixed my headlight free of charged. I had brought in a coupon for the oil change and Russ was able to find a better one for me to use. John had the most excellent customer service. It completely turned my experience around. Not only was I able to save money but I felt like they listened to exactly what I needed. I only want to go there when they work. I feel they went the extra mile. It made my day. just brought my 83 rabbit in for an oil change and the staff burned my clutch so bad i needed a tow and blamed damage on me. just had my clutch professionally replaced 2 months ago and car was running great. heard the staff repeatedly reviving my engine, LAUGHING, and stalling while i was waiting for my service. they left my vehicle in the bay (that smelled like burned clutch) instead of pulling into the lot acting like that was normal and then pretened like nothing was abnormal when I kept stalling trying to get over the blocks in the bay. they acted like I didn't know how to drive my car and were snickering when my car wasn't getting into first. its clear now the mechanics couldnt drive stick and burned out my brand new clutch. when i called broke down around the block, they admitted they werent able to drive it off the blocks without stalling it, ie they did not know how to drive stick. now looking at $2000k plus in damages and towing. currently in the middle of a faceless corporate claims process and just looking for accountability and compensation for damages. do not risk bringing your vehicle here!!! the mechanics dont know how to drive and i think treated me snidely because im a woman. read more

Update of review below: Got an email from corporate and a phone call from the regional manager. Both very nice. Then a call from the store's manager asking what type of oil my car needed so he could order it for me. Everyone was very nice about it, they all seemed very genuinely concerned about the review and wanted to make sure I knew they were fixing things and getting better. They also said the smokers were no longer working for them, that they had been let go before my second visit. I went by the other day and picked up 5 quarts of oil, saw that there were a couple of new employees working there, so maybe give them another chance. Read less We've been bringing our car to this location for several years, never had any complaints. This past year we have had a different experience. The first problem was that the employees reeked of pot. We observed one guy smoking in his truck. He admitted to it when we confronted him about it. We decided not to go back. I don't care if someone smokes or drinks, but you don't do it at work!! Then I had a new to me car that had too much oil added, I really needed to get an oil change and the proper amount of oil. It was raining and I didn't feel like crawling underneath to do it myself, so against my better judgement I took it up to this Jiffy Lube (it's Port Townsend, your choices are limited) I told them to make sure they didn't over fill the oil, they even commented that the oil was overfull when I brought it in and how bad that was, but when I got home and checked the oil myself, it was again overfull! I brought it back and they drained some oil out (to make it worse it was my oil that I provided because they didn't carry the kind I needed for my vehicle). This time I made them show me before I left. They did refund all my money without my asking and apologized, so that's good. But this was totally the last straw, beware of this Jiffy Lube. read more

Love the team of guys here!!! They are so fast and efficient at what they do and they do it with a smile. I original had my oil changed here a few years ago when I was single and had no idea how to take care of a car, and I wouldn't go anywhere else. Not only do they check my fluids between oil changes but the manager Dan has great knowledge of cars so I know I can stop in and ask questions and he always has an answer and seems happy to help. OMG, I have never come across such an obtuse, passive aggressive, just plan rude member of staff as at Jiffy Lube, after such a horrendous experience just trying to ask Russ simple questions, I reversed out, looking back as he was reentering the shop giving me a reverse "finger". I would never let a lout like "Russ" near my vehicle, peoples attitudes reflect in their work. I am surprised that Jiffy Lube would employ such a lout, they obviously do not care about either customer service or actual service. Its a shame as I had had a wonderful experience with the very pleasant Robert in the morning and had gone back simply because of his treatment. read more

They sell your phone number to marketing companies. I got my oil changed there two weeks ago and now I get harassed everyday by people with windshield chip repair services etc. Do not provide them your phone number. I gave one star because I can't give zero. read more

Worse Jiffy Lube I've ever been to. Two workers, two bays . One car in each bay and I was next. After waiting 30 minutes one car was pulled out of the bay. Then Russ goes over to assist the other worker with the other car rather than pulling my vehicle in. After waiting another 10 minutes I asked when they'd get to my car. Russ rudely says the other car has a lot of work yet to be done. I asked why he can't start on my car while the other worker continues with that car. Russ became rude with his tone and said it's too hard for him to keep walking up and down the stairs between vehicles. Wow, I told him this is the worst Jiffy Lube I've ever been to. Extremely poor time management if he even knows what that means and bad customer service. Needless to say I back out and left and will never return. read more

I'll start with Coles Notes to give you a quick Yay or Nay.... YAYYYYYYY!!!!!! 1. Absolutely amazing people 2. Honest 3. Great prices 4. FAST 5. Amazing people....:) Haha! Those of you who want a poorly written but cool story....read on. My very old but very dear to me camper van (Millie) had previously had her A/C bypassed. I randomly pulled in here to see if it could be born again. I met Dan (the GM) who had a look. It was tough to tell what needed to be done but he got it going! During my wait in the lobby, the genuine care given by all the employees was Bar None. Robert was the greeting and customer care guy (on top of things, organized and fast), Michael, George and John were in the pit but still went out of their way to be friendly to customers, even opening doors and saying farewell!! My face hurt from smiling when the door was opened for my departure and the journey to Port Angeles was a giddy one while being cool in a heat wave! Arriving to P.A. there was a horrible sound before Millie completely broke down. I'll skip through my towing and evening in P.A., and continue with my Knights in Shining Armor. To be clear, this turn of events had nothing to do with the work that was done by Dan (possibly was the 6500km's I'd just put on her, haha). He knew of my predicament in P.A. (he even tried calling to help the previous night). Not knowing a soul around, I went back into Port Townsend in the morning and asked Danny for advice, thank goodness. (Enter Albert, the GM at the Port Orchard location who was on a day off but at this shop). I knew I was in a friendly town but what happened next blew my mind. When I went for parts, they would not fit. Albert drove me back to NAPA (where he knows everyone obviously), went into the back, tried to meld the parts to work, no go. Nothing was available to fit Millie in town or to order. Between NAPA staff, Albert and Dan (also Dan's family auto part collection at home) I figure half the town was trying to find this part. In the end, while Dan was managing the shop, Albert actually took the part from Dan's personal vehicle at his home to replace later. That car was sitting while Millie and I traveled home to Canada. Does this happen in real life? I am literally at a loss for words at how I felt leaving. Port Townsend and the Jiffy Lube family will always have special meaning to me. I hope there is a day I can show such kind and unconditional care to these people. read more

On 6/13/2016 Brought my truck in to get an oil change. Upon driving up to the entrance of the garage I was immediately greeted by a representative who took down my information on my truck, let me choose type of oil I wanted to use then got right to work on my truck. They recommend that I change my air filter let me look at it and I decided to go ahead. They topped off other fluids and checked tire pressure. They provide mfg recommend maintenance for my truck at its mileage. When done the cab floor was vacuumed and left clean. While they did provide recommendations I never felt that they were trying to up sell me or pressure me to spend money on additional maintenance. Staff was very professional and polite. I will definitely be using Jiffy Lube as my go to place for oil changes. Additionally, the waiting room and bathroom are kept very clean and tidy. read more

The service here is fantastic! Everyone I interacted with was great, especially the assistant manager Russ. We came on a Sunday and he communicated to me immediately that they were very busy and that it would take a while for an oil change. I told him that it was no problem and that I would just return the next day. I appreciated that he let me know so that I didn't have to waste my day. I returned on Monday and I was the only car! The guy who came out to my car opened my door for me and let me into the office (also holding the door). Another man talked to me about the options and the only downside to this place is the price, but that is par for the course for Jiffy Lube. We needed to get the oil changed on our 2013 Honda CRV. We were camphosting in Brinnon, and there are not alot of places to go for an oil change. We drove to Port Townsend. The lady at the Jiffy Lube told us it would be about a 30 minute wait, even though there was only one car ahead of us. We sat outside and waited. She said the oil change was $108....WT??? Like 2 dummies, we went ahead and had them do it, plus replace the air filter. We are retired....and I couldn't believe it was that much for an oil change. We recently paid $48. for our full size truck. When I got home, we had a coupon from the dealership for $9.95....something is terribly wrong. I have used other Jiffy Lubes and they always make you think that your car is in need of something, new belts, flushes, etc....never use them again....no matter what... read more

Absolutely loved this place. I was a little worried with previous reviews, but I had to get my oil changed and I didn't feel like putting it off anymore. This was probably the best customer service experience I've ever had... every worker was amiable and I felt comfortable having them work on my car. I ended up getting a few other things that I thought were a good upgrade for the rainy season and wow the price at the end? Amazing. They told me my serpentine belt was going out, which I actually was aware of thanks to a mom with some car know-how - so I knew they weren't just trying to get more money out of me. Got that replaced the next day, very quick. I didn't find the waiting area to be that bad at all, either. I don't drink coffee, so I brought my own drink and some lunch. Free wifi WOULD be nice, though. Really, if you need your oil changed there's no reason not to get it done here. Filter replacement, all fluids topped off, car checked (found out my battery is low, too, which I was suspecting also).... All of that included WITH an oil change. Went in for oil change, agreed to engine cleaning and filter change, on a Friday. Oxygen sensor caught fire above the catalytic converter, car warning lights are currently lit up like a Christmas tree. Said they would pay to have it replaced, it is now Tuesday no appt to get it fixed. I called a mechanic myself and scheduled it to be looked at on Thursday (the quickest appt I could get). They say they will reimburse me, unfortunately unable at this time to say that it has happened. I will post another review if I don't get my full refund of all damages to my 2 year old car. Have been since told by my co workers not to do anything but oil changes, but you won't be seeing me again. read more

I dont know anything about cars, oil, plugs, tires, none of that! but they took the time to explain what was best for my car. I was shocked to pull up and see 4 cars ahead of me and only 3 workers, i thought "this is gonna take ages!", but instead it took half the time i expected! Good service but when you have to wait for an hour or so it would be nice to have a clean and comfortable place to wait...with free wifi. The chairs look good but within 10 minutes sitting turn out to be really uncomfortable. The coffee was fresh but I had to set it on the floor, no table in the lobby for customers. The bathroom needed cleaning and had no hot water. Little things like that kept me from giving a 5 star rating. read more

Ok so I've been going here for years and theyve always been great although now I'm apprehensive. This new manager whatever his name is is a dick. Excuse my language. A couple weeks ago my cars oil light came on SCARY! I pull in panicked and the guy wouldn't even look under the hood! The old manager Dan would've never done that! Basically said I'm 400 miles past my change so they can't help me! It's 2 days before my payday! Wtf! I'm always on top of it normally! Then he says oh maybe I'll look but you need to wait 45 mins! They've NEVER done this to me! So today I wait until the manager isn't there to get my oil changed. I was very nervous! The girl that works there i believe hasn't had enough or the right training. Thank God Russ was there tp keep an eye out even though he was off the clock but I kinda told him I was nervous about the work being done. I kept my eyes on them and made them double check the oil cap because the carly girl didn't even put the dipstick back in all the way. Long story short get rid of the jerk manager and please bring back someone that knows what their doing! And can properly train employees! I hate that I'm even writing this review but obviously some things need to change! They went from people I trust working my car to me hovering and checking if it's done right! read more
