First day the emissions machine was down, second day I waited 30-40 min to be told a call was needed to the health department but was closed and the 2 speed idle could not be completed. Dishonest. I took my Land Rover here because I had a slow leak in one of my tires. They told me that the leak could not be patched and that I also needed a brand new set of tires. My Defender has about 15,000 miles on it. I told them never mind and went to a different place (Les Schwab tires) where they patched my tire for free and sent me on my way. It's left me feeling like the employees at Jiffy Lube saw me and thought this is a change to take advantage. read more

I had an issue installing the rear brake pads and rear rotors on my 2017 Jeep Compass. So I brought the pads and rotors into this shop to have Jiffy Lube install them. They completed the install with pads and rotors I purchased before had at O'Rilley's. Come to find out the next day, they charged me full price (for someone who came in without their own pads and rotors) to do the install without giving me any credit for the Pads and rotor's I provided. Very dishonest. I would not recommend using them as your brake service provider. read more

I have used Jiffy Lube on and off over the years for maintenance on my vehicles, and due to the terrible service at LHM (or former LHM) dealerships decided to give them a go for my oil change on my Lexus ES330 this time around since I needed an emmissions check anyway and this is one of two locations very near my house. As far as the work itself, no complaints. And why these guys do try to up sell everything, at least they check unlike the Toyota dealers I've taken my vehicle to. Lexus of Lindon do also, but it's a long drive. In this case cabin and engine air filters were really bad so I had them replace them, still cheaper than the dealerships and I can tell the difference. Emmissions check was very fast. This would have been a 4 or even 5 star review but for one thing - customer service and poor attitude of the person handling my service. Talk about rude, didn't listen, mumbled and got mad because I tried to use a Yelp coupon on a Sunday. Why they couldn't just explain nicely they discount on Sunday already and don't take coupons as a result who knows, but that would take him forming a fully coherent sentence and I wasn't prepared to wait that long. Just was difficult and ignorant from start to finish. I understand they are just worker bees but come on, do you want repeat customers? I've been coming to this Jiffy Lube for years for my registration as well as the usual maintenance. It was time for me to get my registration done and I thought I'd go to the Riverton store but the Herriman one was closer to where I was at. I looked at the reviews on both places and found that the Riverton store has way better reviews so I went with my original plan to come to this store. Just a heads up for you people who have older cars and trucks that need a emission test. please don't take your truck or car to the Riverton Jiffy lube on 12300 and Redwood Road. The Manager of the store today told me he can't do the emission test because there is no cat and it's missing the o2 sensor also he said it should be a three way cat. I said what are you talking about, I have been bring it here for 25 years plus. I went out and showed him where the cat is and the o2 sensor is. Obviously he has no idea what he is talking about!!! I left pissed off this young kid has no idea. I think he need to retake the emission class again.. Then I took it to the Jiffy Lube by the Home Depot. Passed Just fine. **UPDATE**UPDATE**UPDATE** Below you'll see my original review. However, I need to update this as I've been back to this location a couple times since my one bad experience. It's just too conveniently close to work for me to actually take my car somewhere else! Anyway, the service has been great and they're very fast. I like that they are tied in with the manufacturer's recommended maintenance schedule for my cars, that way I know they're not just trying to sell me something I don't need. I increased this from 2 stars to 4 stars. I'm a fan. **END UPDATE**END UPDATE**END UPDATE We moved to UT and were happy with Jiffy Lube there, so I stuck with them and this location was near work. I've used this location for both of our cars multiple times. Usually the experience is allright. They try to upsell every little thing, which I understand, but it gets annoying after a while. Anyway, I went in to get a safety & emission test so we could license our van in UT. They offered a free safety & emission test if we also had the oil changed, but I declined because we were in a hurry and didn't have time to do an oil change right then. The DMV closed at 6 and it was 5pm. I asked if they could make an exception and let me come in the next day since I was obviously a loyal customer. They declined. So I paid $50. got home that evening and on the counter was a coupon for $15 off the safety & emission test. So I called the next day around 5pm and nobody answered the phone. Called the day after that and was told they couldn't honor the coupon. I told them I would be finding somewhere else to get my oil changed from now on. I have two vehicles and change the oil regularly. In Colorado I used Jiffy Lube for all of my regular scheduled maintenance and had some done here too. I probably spend close to $1,000 per year at Jiffy Lube...so that was a poor decision on their part. read more

I went to the Jiffy Lube at 13318 S Market Center Dr, Riverton UT 84065 on Aug 28, 2022 at around 4:20 pm for an emissions test. After being there for a few minutes, the technician brought my air filter to me, covered in grease and greasy dirt and said that it needed replaced. (Why he pulled the air filter, when I was there for an emissions test, I don't know--other than to make a sale, obviously). I had just replaced it myself 3 weeks prior AND I know air filters don't look like that when they do need replaced. Grease doesn't get into the air system (and all the nastiness was on the outside, not the inside of the filter). I told him that I had just replaced the filter and that I knew he rubbed it on the floor to try to sell me a new filter. I got the names of everyone who was working--Mike, Mike, Ryder, and Ajay (there was one more person--glasses, very short hair, Caucasian--but I forgot his name). I told them I didn't trust them to work on my car further and that I would never return to that location or any other Jiffy Lube. When this kind of thing happens, it's often encouraged/taught from the top-down. It's a dirty business practice that shows a lack of integrity and sexism (I doubt it happens to male customers). Now, I need to go somewhere else to get an emissions inspection AND I have to buy a new air filter. I've heard of this kind of thing happening from the news; I never thought people would be crooked enough to do it. Absolutely disgusting, dishonest, and dirty. Would never go there! read more

Not happy that Jiffy Lube upsold my wife an wallet flush (oops I mean Engine flush) for $50 among other things. The manufacturer does not recommend engine flush (with some extreme exceptions, not ours) especially on older vehicles like mine. I really dislike shops that are dishonest just because you have to send your wife. Makes her feel bad for wasting money and me angry that some guy just took advantage of her. read more

We will never be going to Jiffy Lube to service a car again! My wife had an oil change done and the next morning we found oil all over the garage floor of our brand new house we had moved into two weeks prior. To their credit, they tried to remove the huge stains from the floor, but with no success. They never returned a single call over a two month period and refuse to help cover the costs to have the floor treated to cover the stains. This was literally the worst experience I have ever had at any service location. I sent my little Brother to get simple services done on his car. James the store manager sold him products he didn't need or want. When we went back to talk about why and ask for a refund he was RUDE, DISRESPECTFUL, and UNPROFESSIONAL. I printed out Jiffy Lube's "$10 off Utah Vehicle Diesel Emissions Test" coupon and took it to the Riverton location. There were 4 or 5 employees standing in a bay with nothing to do, when the service rep greeted me. He informed me that the coupon is only good for commercial diesel vehicles, but could give me $6 off instead. The Corporate big wigs need to add some fine print on these coupons to list any exclusions that may apply. BUYER BEWARE! I'm very disappointed in how unethical jiffy lube has become in order to make a buck. I went to this location for safety and emissions in my 2010 model year vehicle. While waiting the technician approached me with brand new air filter in his hands (mine) asking if I wanted it replaced. He also told me that my windshield wipers were torn and recommended they also be replaced. I respectfully declined and said I would asses the wipers and since the air filter was new (which he agreed) no. No problem he said; a few minutes later he told me that my vehicle was ready. I walked out and he proceeded to tell me that my vehicle had failed both safety and emissions because of the "torn" wipers and now unbeknownst to me a "faulty gas cap". Gas cap, I said? Keeping in mind My 2010 vehicle was not throwing any CEL codes indicating a problem and was operating within it's designed parameters; however, since he had me over a barrel i authorized the work. He came back a few moments later and told me that because they were out of that particular gas cap and were unable to repair the emissions system failure his manager has authorized its passing. What a SCAM! I told my wife of my experience and unbeknownst to me my daughter had also experienced the exact same think a few months prior at Riverton (Bangerter) location. I Wonder how many windshield wipers and gas caps they have sold at this jiffy lube location??? Never again! I sent my 18 year old niece with a coupon for just an oil change. I warned her to say no to everything they try to up-sell her. Even though she said she only wanted an oil change she ended up getting an oil flush, and instead of costing $30 it was $66. She felt intimidated and confused by all they were asking her and trying to sell to her. I called and spoke to James, the manager, and all he did is rant on me how they are required to up sell and how their store has fewer "high pressure" complaints compared to others (doesn't that tell you something). He even admitted that she said "she wanted an oil change", but did not say "I want an oil change and that's all." The secret code is to say "that's all" and maybe they won't try and take advantage of you. I will never again use Jiffy lube or recommend it. 0 Stars.... I have been taking my car to this Jiffy Lube for several years. I have also referred them to friends. Recently my wife took our car into get an inspection and emissions. I was going to meet her there to get our motor home inspected as well. I had not arrived yet when my wife called and said they rejected due to our windshield and parking brake. I realized our parking brake was having problems but our windshield has been the same for 5-6 years. Jiffy Lube passed it the last inspection. I asked my wife to wait before she paid so I could speak to them. Upon arriving I waited patiently for somebody to assist me. I was approached by Joseph the manager who in a very unprofessional way asked me what I wanted. I told him I needed to pay for the mini van. He then said I would have to go in and wait that there were two cars ahead of me. The problem with this was our car was sitting outside the shop and was already completed. All other cars were still being worked on. My wife reported to me that when she arrived there were no cars there but hers. Our car was also sitting in the way of other cars and unless moved the other cars would not be able to leave the garage. I waited patiently outside and watched the Jiffy staff as they worked. While I was waiting I noticed on conversation taking place between a customer, Joseph and another technician. While the conversation was going on another technician approached from the side of Joseph as though he had something to say and Joseph pushed him away and motioned for him to leave. I continued to wait until the a technician approached me so I could finalize payment. At that time I asked him why he rejected me on the windshield. He said he was not sure that he was not the inspector that wrote it up but the law was 6" from the board of the windshield could not be cracked. I asked a few questions about was considered the boarder because my windshield had a large black ring around it that was not transparent and thought it would not be included as part of the 6 inch rule. I told him it seems odd to me that Jiffy Lube passed it on the last inspection but is now saying it doesn't pass. At that time Joseph the manager yelled across the garage and said "we didn't do the inspection last year it didn't require an inspection" I am uncertain how he could possibly even have known what my discussion was with the technician being that he was no where near us during the course of our discussion. he also very unprofessionally caused a scene to all those present in the garage. I replied to him with "no one said you inspected the car last year". He proceeded to argue back at me that the last inspection was done by another Jiffy Lube as though that justifies their actions and would bring greater credibility to them. I am certain due to his youth and lack of professionalism he did not understand that he was discrediting the entire franchise. I made sure I was able to get his name and his job title as I intended on complaining to the owner. Rather than discuss and explain their decision on the windshield he basically got in my face and told me he could careless about my business and then proceeded down into the pit. I finished paying out my bill and explained to the technician helping me that I would no longer be doing business with them, this is including the motor home I had brought over and was waiting in the parking lot to be checked in. I ended up driving to Grease Monkeys and they carefully explained why my windshield was rejected and said the laws had recently changed. I had them do the inspection and oil change on my motor home and found them to be friendly and accommodating. I just wish after all the loyalty and business I had given Jiffy Lube, they would have been more respectful and appreciative of my business as well as took the time to resolve my concern. I would not recommend Jiffy Lube to anyone and I will certainly do my best to ensure know one I know uses them. read more
