Brake pads install on the wrong side upside down.

My wife and I were taking a Jeep ride and the front left caliper seized up. We Googled brake repair and happened to be in the area of this shop. I am very capable of changing my brakes and have worked on vehicles for years. We agreed on a price for rotors, pads, brake hose, and a caliper. Was twice as expensive as doing it yourself, but that is to be expected. One thing led to another and they talked me in to the other side caliper. We waited for over 3 hours for the employee to have me come look at a bolt that they stripped as it was not before they started. At this point it was closing time and they told me the only option was to replace the steering knuckle at nearly an additional $400 on top of the almost $800 already quoted. They said they couldn't get the part until Tuesday. This was Saturda. We were about 2 hours away from home, and we have jobs. I told them to put it together the best they could as the bolt was the only issue and it did thread enough to stay in. I paid the nearly $800 for an incomplete job and they told me I would have no warranty. we made it home and the next day I went to fix the stripped bolt hole which I did with a hole coil for about $50 not $400. I noticed they installed the inside brake pads upside down and on the wrong side. They also neglected to install the clips or apply any ceramic grease to the pads. I immediately contacted the customer to which day my concerns onto the general manager, Todd. I spent the next three days sending pictures that was requested of me showing the incorrect installation. I received a text message stating that because I left with no they will not refund any of my money. told them I would pay for the felt that the labor should be reimbursed as it was incorrectly done. I felt that that was a fair compromise for my time and having to purchase an additional new set of brake pads so that I could have the installation hardware. I do not write a lot of reviews however I feel that it is my obligation to write this as I am sure that I am not the first nor the only customer that has been treated this way. I like many would've assumed that the pads would've been installed correctly. Had I not had to take off the tires to look at the stripped boat hole. I plan to tell my story to any and all that will listen and I vow to never for the remainder of my life. Give my money or time to anything with the Jiffy Lube name on it. I do not feel that I'm an unreasonable person or that I am asking or have asked for anything that is unreasonable. If you choose to go to this establishment, I wish you the best of luck as I would say my experience was about as bad as it could be, and I greatly regret my decision to pull into this shop.

Pulled up 3 cars are being serviced, no line and I was acknowledged and told to move behind the Buick. I did as I was asked and moved. A car pulled up where I was originally and was told to pull up and in before me. I am frustrated and I know it comes off childish but I was here before them. Now I have been waiting almost an hour and have not been acknowledged since. The team seems to have no sense of urgency or thought of the customer. I thought at least they could acknowledge me and this lengthy wait time. I am a Valvoline customer and thought I would try something different, however I will not be coming back and using Jiffy Lube. This has been a very poor experiences

Contacted the location and advised the alignment was not correct. Nick (store manager) admitted over the phone that his new technician did not follow the "Meineke" process and never drove the car before the alignment or after. No print out was available of what our alignment looked like when we brought it in, so Meineke cannot prove what they adjusted vs not. Nick couldn't explain the print out of our alignment after the service and in fact, told us most of the elements "can't be adjusted" even though the bottom of the paper showed "recommendations" based on the system readout. We had to request a different technician handle next steps, which entailed loading the car back onto the lift and redoing the process. The original Technician has only worked at Meineke since Wednesday, our service was done on Friday. This technician had no proper training for the Meineke alignment machine and was not calibrating vehicles correctly, as confirmed by Nick. Nick assured us he would make this right and his other tech was seasoned. Max took over and even went on 2 test drives with my husband. The alignment was still off and the vehicle continued to pull to the right. Max finally told us that he couldn't make any further adjustments, as Nick advised him to not touch the vehicle any further. Max also let us know that he believes the alignment system was "off" and required recalibration, as he was unable to make the necessary adjustments. Nick refused to make it right and we were forced to leave with our vehicle still misaligned. Note, we sat at Meineke from 1pm - 5pm with our children. We visited the Outer Loop location the following day and had no luck. The location Manager verbally attacked my husband and tried physically fighting him in the parking lot, repeating "I get off at 5." We left the location as we were concerned for our safety as well as the quality of work they would offer to our car that was already misaligned the previous day. Don't bring your vehicles here. Major caution, red flags, everything you can think that can go wrong, will go wrong.

I typically go to Valvoline. I like to wait on a coupon or a Groupon but I was overdue for an oil…read morechange and my Dad suggested a Groupon for this business. (He went to the Hurstbourne location and said they went above and beyond with his service.) So for the $18 Groupon, I figured it was worth a try. The Lyndon Lane location was on my way home from work and by my favorite Korean kimbop shop, so what the hay, right? I went at 6:45 on a Thursday evening. According to my car, it was about 90° outside. When I arrived, there was no line, no cars in the bay and two workers, Chris and Sean were sitting inside, very relaxed, with their legs propped up. I have no problem with them relaxing, there weren't any cars and they popped up as soon as I arrived but after that, things started to go south... The greeting was somewhat lackluster. Chris disappeared, I assume under my car, and Sean sort of fuddled around before finally asking me what they could do for me. (No hello or welcome). I told him "an oil change" and complimented him on his U of L tattoo. He then opened my hood, unscrewed the oil cap, and proceeded to drop it somewhere inside the engine. This was followed by a string of profanities and yells down to Chris, under my car, while they tried to find it. I get it, it's hot, you just dropped an oil Cap down inside a hot engine, and that sucks. But the cursing and unprofessionalism continued. He asked me if I knew what kind of oil change I wanted, I told him whatever the Groupon covered. He told me it would be $2ish to cover the taxes. After taking my credit card his computer started acting up. Another string of profanities followed. I've never been to the National Auto Lube before, so it seems they would want to take my information and get me in the system, but he never asked for any of that. In fact, he didn't even ask if I had been there before or if I had a sticker. I noticed later on my receipt that he just wrote "n/a" for all of my information. After running my credit card he handed me a greasy, slightly sticky, pretty disgusting clipboard and asked me to sign. Though I appreciate that he didn't try to sell me a whole bunch of services I didn't need, he also didn't go over what I was being asked to sign. He left me sitting in my car, holding that disgusting clipboard for the minute or so that he was pumping oil into my car. He came back to collect the clipboard, and proceeded to check my oil level. Then he shut the hood and leaned over my window and said, "you're all good" as he handed me the sticker to put on my window. (Valvoline asks if you'd like a sticker and then puts a printed sticker in your window for you. This was handwritten.) After taking my sticker I said, "do you guys not check the air in the tires? Also, may I please see the dipstick". Honestly, I was a little concerned that my engine may not have gotten a sufficient amount of oil, they're supposed to show you that it falls within the appropriate levels. Him shutting the hood so quickly made me nervous, and maybe me feel like they were just trying to rush me out. He somewhat begrudgingly filled the tires with air, and said "OK you're good". I really wanted to ask "don't you check the washer fluid? And all of those other extras the Valvoline always provide??". But honestly, I was starting to feel more and more uncomfortable and ready to get out of there. I can replace my own washer fluid. And you know what, come to think of it, he didn't check my air filter either! Good thing I change that myself. I hope they changed my oil filter! Surely they did..?? What started as a potential for 4 stars. Quickly slid down to one as I recollect the entire interaction. Maybe I'll try the location on Hurstbourne (if there is another Groupon), just because my Dad had such a great experience. But I can say with confidence that I will ever return or send a friend to the Lyndon location. Once I got home, I checked the oil level myself .. it was slightly high. Oil changes are really important -- it's like a vital blood transfusion for your car. Worrying that you might have been scammed or that someone took a shortcut while messing around with your engine isn't a good feeling. In fact, I may drive by the Hurstbourne location to have them double check it. This isn't a good feeling. I should be able to trust the oil change guys. National Auto Lube, you guys failed at your one shot to win me as a customer. But, you'll never know who I am because your employees didn't even bother to get my name.
