Came in off the highway because our vehicle was making a metal on metal noise or rattle. Just wanted to see if someone could take a look underneath and see what was up. They were super accommodating and tried to replicate it. We were able to get a rough idea of what was going on and general area of the problem. On such short notice, we didn't do a full diagnostic to pinpoint the exact issue or broken part. No repairs were made but it gave us enough confidence to keep going on our road trip to Big Sur and ultimately back to Los Angeles. Javier makes Jiffy Lube at 3956 State Street a pleasure to frequent. I always have my oil changes done at Jiffy Lube wherever I live. It's convenient, reliable, and easy. This time, I added new spark plugs (dealer suggested after 125,000 miles) and a smog test. Nothing comes cheap these days, including vehicle maintenance. Yet, who wants the hassle of stalling out on the freeway in unfavorable weather? Especially when one has kids on board. Jiffy Lube is a bargain and Javier is the frosting on the cake:) read more

I went for my annual oil change and had the best experience again! I hate getting work done on my car because I know nothing about cars, but they are knowledgeable and helpful at this Jiffy Lube location. Every employee I interacted with was very friendly. If I could give negative stars, I would. I took my car in, for a standard oil change. My car had no issues prior. Waited for the service, paid, went straight home. The next day, I noticed an oil stain on my driveway. Not old oil, shiny new oil. I took my car back, asked the attendant to make sure everything was ok. They pulled my car into the bay, and I assume looked at the oil pan. Came back and said there was a little oil around the plug, but didn't observe a leak. Took my car home. Put a new piece of cardboard down, just to make sure. Guess what?! Still leaking. Took the car back again (3rd time), asked them to shut the car off before checking. The "manager" checked this time and actually pulled off the oil pan plug. Lo and behold, the gasket had a crack in it. They replaced it. But my car was still leaking. I went back again....this time the manager ordered the gasket from the dealership, so it supposed to match my car completely. Took about another week for the part to arrive. Finally installed the new gasket. The manager says, well if this doesn't work, I have no idea what to do! Great! So, the gasket did not stop the leak. I took my car to another mechanic, and asked them to take a look. They told me the oil pan plug/pan were stripped and I would need a new oil pan. About $600 with installation. I called Jiffy Lube to talk to the regional manager and try to resolve the issue. He asked that I take my car back one more time to his "master mechanic" and that he would issue me a full refund for the original oil change (why was this not done immediately?) The master mechanic took a look, says the leak isn't from the oil pan/plug, but is from the transmission - never leaked before! But he replaces my oil pan plug with a after-market magnetic plug. I need a special tool to get oil changes in the future. AND my car still leaks oil, not transmission fluid, but oil. And I NEVER received my refund. I will have to go spend $600 to fix their mistake. NEVER GO TO JIFFY LUBE!!!! Beyond disappointed and frustrated. read more

I came here for an oil change and a few other things. Not only was everyone really nice but they went above and beyond. A few days after my oil change, I heard a weird nose when I turned in my ac. I called and told them and they said they could check it even though it sounded unrelated to anything they did. Turns out, there was a rats nest behind the glove compartment near the air filter. This is something I would have no idea what to do with had they left me with it. However, they took care of it for me at no cost! They went above and beyond to help me and I am very grateful! They have earned my loyalty!!!! read more

Oil change Ok here's the deal, no service was actually used because of the following experiences: My brother-in-law went by to see if they could do oil change on my parent's car. He said he pulled up and workers were standing around and not making any move to acknowledge him. He finally interacts with someone but decides to bypass using them, mostly based on their indifference which he found really annoying. Later that same day I figure I'll take the car as Jiffy Lube didn't have the right filter and oil and it needs to be done, so I go hoping second times the charm. Sadly I encounter the same lack of customer service. No greeting, no nothing. I went in the office, no one there. While in the office I searched up other options because a bunch of guys hanging out listening to music and ignoring customers does not present a positive impression or get me anywhere close to getting an oil change. I work in customer service and know the importance of at least pretending it matters someone is there to do business. Unprofessional and indifferent doesn't instill confidence in the capabilities of those who will likely be doing the work so I left. read more

Went to the an oil change for the second time here .. my dad is in the car business as a wholesaler and has always had my oil done for me in my hometown but since I'm here for college I've gone to jiffy lube.. I have a bmw which "needs" special oil .. really it doesn't I've always had standard premium oil and been fine . The first time I went here they made me pay 200 dollars for a different kind of oil tbh at my car "needed" when I went back for the second time my dad told me to make sure I only got the premium but when I asked for that the workers said " your car takes a more expensive oil if you get just premium it's not our fault if your car has problems" they said that MULTIPLE times a few days late my car started reeking of oil and gas. My dad had to tow it from sb to Redlands 3 hours away and when his mechanic looked at it he said it's a valve problem which can ONLY happen if someone messes with it. Jiffy lube purposely messed with my car just because I wouldn't pay 200 dollars for an oil change. how disgusting read more
