I had called the "local" number and spoke to a man about a state inspection for my truck. He told me (at 10:30 AM) that his inspection guy was there till 12. I said I could be there in 15 to 20 minutes. would that be OK. He said yes, and there was currently a 20 minute wait. I asked him if he was actually at the location, because it sounded like a call center. He said yes this is the Maple Avenue location. He was lying and I wasted my time going there because when I arrived, I was told there was no one available that day to do inspections, and they had not received any calls yet that day. Thank God I didn't drive a half hour to get there, and was able to go to Jiffy Lube to get my inspection. I will never use Valvoline again.

Great experience! I decided to get snow tires this year since I do so much driving for work. The…read moremanager was simply fantastic and she provided all relevant information and communicated appropriately about when the tires would arrive and how long it would take for them to get installed. I thought that my regular tires were pretty worn out and assumed that I would need a whole new set after I took off my "snowies". They said that my tires were in good condition and that I wouldn't need new ones right away. It would have been very easy for them to tell me that my tires were a mess so they could upsell me. They didn't do that. Clearly, this is an honest business with hard workers. The manager is very engaged and interested in making sure that customers are happy. I did not expect to have such a positive experience getting new tires. I will return in the future.

Estimate for repair: $600 (another dealer estimated $250, so I may go ahead and do it eventually). Fast forward a few weeks. My ice sensor started blinking when the road was bare, and it felt like my brakes were seizing. This time, the problem was a wheel bearing and a problem with the ice sensor. Gas prices in Ballston Spa are competitive, better than all the surrounding areas. The gas prices here are a bit higher than in the village of Ballston Spa, but competitive among the nearby stations. Perhaps they can get away with that because they participate in the Price Chopper program. I was originally going to post a review for this business as a Sunoco Station, and I had checked some others sites for additional business information. On those sites, I found several excellent reviews for the auto service here.
