It needed some work though to bring it to the next level with regards to maintenance. I stopped in and met Mike and his wife. They gave me a tour of the facility where I saw other high end classics that they were working on. I developed a real comfort level with Mike and decided to give him the job to help me finish the car. What a great decision! From the onset, Mike was nothing but honest and reputable. He told me from the beginning that if I wanted this car in a month, he was not the right man for the job. I told him to take all the time he needed, just do it right. Well after 4 months I received a call from Mike. The Stang was completed and ready to go home!!! When I got my bill for services I was surprised to no end! They itemized all sorts of small charges on the bill for things like lube that would be normally be included with the shop labor rates. So it's labor plus a bunch of little charges that eventually add up plus the parts. My recommendation would be to specifically ask if they need to install the "premium" parts or if there is a good quality substitute for the extra expensive premium parts. They installed all premium parts without asking or anything (smart on their part, I don't blame them) so at the end it was much more pricey than expected. I am definitely satisfied with the quality of the work, but it cost me a pretty penny. If money wasn't an issue for me at all, this shop would definitely be my go to for everything from routine to big problems. What I can say is that when you have no idea what's wrong with your car and it's making awful noises, they can quickly pinpoint the issue and get you back on the road in no time. So if a higher price point isn't an issue, and the priority is to fix the issue and fix it RIGHT, Whalen is definitely a great choice.

In addition to some of the specifics mentioned in my previous review (see below), there have been several instances where Ankers could have just recommended the more expensive route to fix something, but chose to allow us to make an informed decision by trying alternatives or doing things incrementally so that it could be determined if a smaller fix would suffice. All this without sacrificing the integrity of the car, though. It is such a relief to know you are going to receive competent and honest work on one of the major financial investments you make: your vehicle. I can't recommend them highly enough.

Awful Customer Service, Corey the "Part Owner" shows no sympathy nor intellectual thinking. AWFUL business and a terrible way to retain customers.
