Granted, things did take a while and I had to get more work done than I expected, but he kept bringing me over to my car to show me and explain the issues. He'd check in periodically to tell me where they were at. Honestly the goofiest jiffy lube experience I've had in a while. I never write reviews but this was exceptionally bad. First off, there were only three vehicles in the whole garage and around 5 employees. I was just getting an oil change, which should have only taken about 20 minutes tops but it was around 45 by the time I left. Everyone in there (except for the one guy in the orange durag, he was taking care of business) was dragging their feet and goofing off and taking forever to get things done to the point where I heard another employee say MULTIPLE TIMES "you guys are going really slow, these cars should have been out of here by now" which honestly yeah he's right. Second, I know I'm at a Jiffy Lube. They're gonna try to upsell me on something silly that I don't actually need, I know the drill. I hear them whispering in front of my hood and as one of them walks away I hear them say "watch this" and the next thing I know the husky dude with the curly ginger hair and beard takes my air filter out, walks up to my window, looks me dead in the face and says "The weather strips on your air filter are no good. There's supposed to be three here, once this last one in the middle falls off it's no good so you should replace it." and I almost started laughing in this guys face because of how ridiculous that was. I let him keep going for a minute trying to upsell me on every fluid he could think of and eventually I just tell him "hey man I'm only here for the oil change, thanks" and he gives up and walks away. Another 10 minutes goes by and without asking which oil I wanted, they filled my engine with the full synthetic oil (which is the most expensive). It's what I planned on anyway but they didn't know that, they just wanted to charge me as much as possible. After all of this, without actually checking my tire pressure, one of the dudes starts over inflating all four of my tires (I know because I had just put air in them last week and I checked the gauge after I left the circus that is Shirley Jiffy Lube). At this point I just want them to give me the bill so I can get on with my day. Next time I'll just stay home and do it myself as I usually do, god forbid I want to be a little lazy on my day off and pay to have it done for me. Ladies beware, if they don't think you know anything about your car they WILL try to upsell you on something dumb that you absolutely do not need just to make a quick buck. I was going to give them one star but I honestly couldn't stop laughing every time I looked at the guy who told me my "weather strips were no good" so I'm gonna give them two solely because of how goofy that was. At least say that the filter was too dirty or something somewhat believable. Go to a mechanic you trust instead next time. read more

Today I went in for an oil change. I have used this location numerous times over the past three years and never had a compliant. I was told I needed my oil flushed because I had some build up. The staff assured me this recommendation was needed. But unfortunately the more I find out , this should have never been a recommendation considering my car had over 130 k miles on it. They tried charging me 600 for a tune up and oil change. Told me the spark plugs were 2 and change or some wild nonsense. Whole family is in the trades so I saw the scam a mile away and just laughed and left. Only reason I stopped was cause I had a few hours to spare between jobs. Some lady was waiting for them to do her brakes in the waiting area and they were playing her also with labor cost. telling her the brakes were wrong they had delivered and HAD to wait for the right ones to get there and wouldn't put her old brakes back on so she could go elsewhere. Very kind at FIRST. Proceeded to take a "deposit" and say they needed to email me my receipt, which they DID NOT do. They gave a paper receipt as well and NEVER put on the receipt what an extra $160 was for. There is no mention of my $160 ANYWHERE on my receipt. I called them to try and ask and they started getting defensive saying it was in the email, and yelling over the phone as well as people in the back yelling. I purchased 2 $50 gift cards from BJs and immediately ran for an oil change. The clerk ringing me up told me only 1 card was valid and I needed to go back where I purchased to get it corrected. I then returned to BJs where they called Jiffy Lube and found out that the card I had was used and swiped on terminal 1 at Shirley. I then returned and asked the clerk for the other card as I needed it to get my refund she was screaming at me that she swiped both cards and threw it away. She then proceeded to retrieve the card for me all the while speaking about how she tried both cards. God awful. They hire inexpierienced/undertrained teenagers to tell you your car is about to breakdown so they can overcharge you for an airfilter. The guys basically force you to come into the garage to "review your service" nearly every time its just them telling you there is this or that that requires you to shell out over $100 for some kind of service. The fact that they charge $45 for an oil change is bad enough. But wait there's more... I go there yesterday, because my mechanic (who usually does my oil change for me) was swamped, and I didn't feel like getting my hands dirty. After going through the circus show, I get my car and see that the service light is still on. The guy tells me it's my check engine light. Usually I would say I don't think so, but this is my wife's car so being unfamiliar with it, I assume he knows what he's talking about. So I foolishly drive down the street to Autozone to get my engine light checked. to my luck, their is a huge line and like 2 people working. Finally I get the woman to come outside and run a diagnostic on the car, she tells me that that isn't the check engine light, there is no reading. Shame on me for listening to these people. The manager tried to shame me for only putting 30w oil in my car, told me I needed synthetic oil, when I told him the manufacturer recommends (and was in my car when I picked it up from the dealer) 10-w30 he acted as if he knew better, on top of that my 45 minute wait turned into 90 minutes because the manager did not have things going smoothly at all, my car sat out in front of the building, running, for 40 minutes while I was waiting to pay the bill. Came to this location for a simple oil change, here's what was said to me, "we recommend changing rear differential fluid, should have been changed at 120,000 miles but we can get that done for you now, for about $120". I should have read the reviews first!! I'm so pissed!!! I went in for a oil change cause the weather has been crappy and my husband hasn't had time to change my oil like he always does . So they pull me in the shop to tell me whoever changed my oil last stripped the oil pan like it was cross threaded or something . Mind u my husband is a electrician all he does is nuts and bolts all day, and me i went to school for automotive and even have nys inspection license I'm not a dummy. So when I told them my husband always does it they told me he did it wrong. No actually YOU guys fucked up my car! my 2010 Honda Odyssey has an aluminum oil pan I'm sure these idiots used a impact gun to take bolt out instead of a wrench. So basically I'm fucked and of course "manager" isn't there, the guy called the manager he doesn't want to give out his personal number so I say call me from a private number but nope. So basically there's no way for me to prove that it wasn't like that. I would have oil spots in my brand new driveway I don't! So I have to pay $77 and hope I can get ahold of the manager 2m so I'm screwed either way there not going to do shit and looks like I'll have to come outta pocket for a brand new oil pan !! And pray the seal is on correctly so It doesn't leak. This place HORRIBLE!!! The 1st time I went to jiffy lube I took my 2016 Hyundai sonata they over filled it with oil which can blow your motor its what they call air bound it is when their is to much oil and the crank hit the oil and makes air bubbles and the oil pump does not pick up the oil! BLOWN MOTOR .Took it back they drained the oil and replaced it with the proper amount for free. The 2nd time I took my 2016 ram 1500 only have 15,000 miles on it did not Vacuum the hole truck got the truck home leaked oil all over my new driveway. They did not clean the oil that they spilled all over the frame. I just did an oil change I had to use a Breaker bar to take off the oil pan plug then I had to put a screw driver though oil filter to take it off they put it on so tight. My son took his car their came home oil all over my driveway they did not tighten his oil plug he had to go back so they could tighten it. NEVER AGAIN will I go to JIFFY LUBE they are a bunch of Idiots. How they got 3 1/2 stars is crazy they should not get 1 STAR. read more

$98 Dollars for an oil change .. and his reasoning behind it was .. well when you take it to a mechanic they don't vacuum your car or wash your windows. We give the entire package .. HUH? Really? Because i do all that myself every Sunday! He kept saying how the small "mom and pop" mechanic I go to doesn't change your filter. He laughed when I asked why this cost so much. He also told me that 95% of the time when you don't come to Jiffy Lube that other mechanics lie and its really mixed synthetic with regular.
