I arrived early in the morning around 8:00 a.m., hoping it wouldn't take too long--and it didn't! As soon as I pulled up, someone immediately started checking out my car. My tire was deflating and I wasn't sure what had happened. Within about 20 minutes, they found a nail in my tire, patched up the tire , and had me back on the road. I generally go to Tire City for all my tire and mechanical needs. I purchased a set of tires for my truck yesterday. Mike was great; went through a list of tire treads and prices in the middle of a busy day to make sure I was getting what I wanted (aggressive all terrain that's more quiet and better for snow). They had to order my oversized tires but they had them shipped within 2 and a half hours and my truck was back in the road before the end of the day. I had a plan. It was to replace my tires next year due to the pothole that destroyed my tires. The front and rear passenger side tires were replaced, but the quality of tire was not to standard. I happened to be driving to pick up my dry cleaning when I noticed "Tire City" on the way. So on my way back home I stopped in to ask questions. The gentleman working behind the counter, gave me plenty of information regarding new tires as well as my make and model. So I left.....and returned.....about three weeks later. When I returned I spoke to another guy who ordered my tires and told me they would be available Monday. On Monday they called early to tell me my tires came in. So I drove down to have my new Pirelli's put on. Inside I met with the owner. A very friendly and social guy. He offered free coffee and water and he asked if the temperature was okay. I'm not use to that from a mechanic but it didn't go unnoticed. Also, before he put the tires on, he showed them to me to see if I liked them; another courtesy that surprised me. Once that was out of the way, they quickly got my car up and started the work. The owner started talking to me and telling me about the long history of his shop. He also started talking about football and sharing is stress being a Jets fan. I couldn't laugh, trust me, I'm a Giants fan. We just agreed both teams need work. Before you knew it, my car was ready. All said and done I had a excellent experience. I definitely would recommend them if you need tires in the future. Just don't bring up the Jets. read more

I came here after seeing other positive reviews, and was not disappointed. I've had a slow leak in a tire for a while now. I had previously taken my car to two other " used/ repair your tire" type shops. Both times leaving and still having the slow leak. Not only were they courteous and honest, at Tire City, but they were quick. I asked for my tires to be balanced and for them to see if they could finally determine what was causing the leak. After an hour I had my car back. Balance completed, tire patched, and resealed around the rim. Very reasonably priced, and they didn't even charge me for the tire repair! Just the balance. No pressure to get other unnecessary services either like some of the larger chain tire shops. I would definitely recommend giving this place a try! read more

Went in to the shop on 1/18/20 a busy Saturday! I was getting new rotors,breaks,tires. The guys in the shop were friendly,knowledgeable and very timely. While I was waiting for my car to be finished. I noticed This busy shop took the time to help a older woman that came in with low tire pressure. She only needed air. They filled her up and got her on her Way. Everyone that came In To this shop seemed happy with the service they were getting. My car drove amazingly, breaked smooth, alignment was straight as an arrow, tires road beautifully! I went to Tire City this past Thursday the 15th 2022, I had a problem with the rear suspension on my car a 2009 Infiniti g37, I explained the problem to one of the men at the counter they took my name and phone number and told me that they would call me with an estimate for the repair. 6 hours later they called to say that my automobile was basically junk and they were not willing to do any repairs because it had some rust on the frame(Just like every car in Long Island)"Yeah we don't want to work on your car the person who called basically said that my car was a rust bucket what a disrespectful way to treat a person, they were not interested in my business and that made me wonder that if I was not a Hispanic person but one of their own they would more likely go out of their way to provide help and better service. I have been discriminated against before and I know how it feels. Anyway the same day i took my automobile to MAS Auto Service in Mastic Beach and they looked at my car and respectfully explained to me that I had 2 options in order to fix the rear suspension on my vehicle, the first option was to remove the suspension subframe and replace but this option was to expensive, the second option was to use automotive welding to repair weak spots and strengthen the rear subframe, this was the best option for me. The next day my vehicle was fixed without any issues and the suspension was and is working great, the issue was fixed. MAS Auto Service did a great job and treated me with the respect that I and any person deserve just because I am a human being who pays with green money like everyone else in this country. My car is not Junk like they at Tire City said it was, it is a Beautiful Infiniti g37x, it was my first and last time at that place (Tire City). I'm female and have never been treated in any negative way by the guys at tire city. They are courteous, get the job done right the first time and are very fair and honest with their prices. I would highly recommend this place over any other in this area. I don't ever do reviews, but I had to because my experience was that great! My family and I have been trying to get to the beach for weeks. The day that we go, everything that could go wrong did and we didn't even make it to the beach. We drive on and while airing down we had a mishap with one of our tires. We couldn't rush driving onto the beach with our kids so we decided to try to get it fixed. We came here and before I could walk in the door the owner, Mike, immediately helped me. He had the worker, I believe his name was Manny, not only stop what he was doing to fix our issue but manny also took a few extra minutes to explain to us how to prevent the problem again as well as showing us what was the best tool to use. Avoid if you need car repairs besides just tires. I have been there in the past for tires as they were fast and efficient, I will give them that. Than I had car repairs to be done by them and this is where they are horrible. I had to bring my vehicle in 3 times for the same issue. First time they said they fixed it and a large bill. Went back because still having the same issue and they said I needed something different, even bigger bill. I had to go back a third time for them to fix it and it still was not fixed. I had to go to dealer to have it done right and they laughed at tire city and what they did. So basically got banged $2000 for a problem that was never fixed correctly or diagnosed correctly. Sold me parts and labor I didn't need, looking into legal action. read more

Sexist. Go with a man who is knowledge of car mechanics. You will be taken advantage of if you are a woman. I do not recommend this location. Brought my car in for an inspection and was told it was leaking brake fluid and that it would cost $200 in addition to the inspection. I decided to get a second opinion elsewhere and was told by the other location that I was lied to. It has been 4 years and my car is in great condition and there has never been problems with brake fluid leaking. Complete nonsense. Guess who wanted to make a quick buck. Yep. Good ol' Tire City. When I came to tire city I had previously taken my car to other places and replaced many parts because it was overheating. They tested parts that I was unsure of being the reason it was overheating, such as the fans and head gasket. After running these tests for free they felt it was the head gasket and replaced it at a reasonable price. They helped me get my car running perfectly and I couldn't be anymore satisfied and confident they did a great job because of how well it's been running. I got a flat yesterday. Today I have a wedding in riverhead at 12. I called Tire City On my way to see if they had a tire. They looked and within 5 minutes called me back and said they had it. When I got there they had everything waiting for me. The tire was on my car and I was pulling off the lot within 10 minutes from when I got there. I had my wife and kids with me.
