Went to Bohemia Autocare for an oil change earlier this month. I just called them and they were able to do an oil change within 45 minutes despite having a busy schedule. Brian and his team are very thorough and know their stuff. They were straightforward when it came to pricing and even gave helpful tips to keep my car in great condition. Their prices are very reasonable. Overall, amazing customer service and you don't feel like just another number when you walk in. Even though, they were literally shutting their doors to close for the day, they came out to take a look at my car. They even gave me a price while I was on the phone with my husband. Watch out. If you bring your car in here, they will do work to your car without your consent, even if you ask them to call or quote you before they do work. This is contrary to New York Motor Vehicle Repair Shop Regulations, which clearly provide that, upon the request of any customer, a repair shop MUST provide an estimate in writing of the parts and labor necessary for each specific repair. Section 82.5. I brought my car in to have them see what was wrong with my drivers side wiper blade. Since they were busy, they asked me to leave the car. I asked them to call me to let me know what was wrong prior to doing anything. Instead, I received a voicemail letting me know work was complete. According to the work order, they inspected and tightened a retaining nut on the driver's side wiper arm. They also lifted my car and checked my brakes. They charged me $70.00 for a half hour of "work"! I did not consent to this. I was not told that they would charge me $70.00 to simply look at my car. I also was not told it would be $70.00 to retighten a nut on my wiper blade. Watch out!! Unethical and illegal. read more

They are a scam!!!!! I had an oil change done on my Range Rover and 3 weeks later I noticed oil in my driveway. My wife dropped off the Range to make sure the filter wasn't loose. She specifically told them not to complete a dionastic on the truck, she just wanted to make sure the oil change was done correctly and she did not want to be charged. They excepted the truck under those terms. When she went back they would not give here the truck unless she paid $150.00 for looking at the truck. They said they found a leak in the trans cooler line and wanted $650 to fix it or $150 to take the truck back. My wife has gotten a oil change and inspections on 3 of our 6 vehicles over the years at this place and this is how they treated her. I called and spoke with the women in charge and she started out by laughing at the situation when she knew it was about the Range. And stated "I knew you were going to call". I didn't get the joke?!?! As a business owner I found it completely insulting to laugh at a customer that is unhappy with a service. After a painful conversation she said she was not able to give me a refund, but would give us a $150.00 credit towards the next oil change. In my opinion that was not expectable and I am currently in dispute with American Express. She is fighting the depute as I expected from such a trashy place... This $150.00 will cost them thousands as it should! My wife's company is not far from the shop and all 43 employees are aware of their business practices. The 8 people from her company that used them in the past will no longer use them. My 13 employees are also aware and will let all of their friends and family know about this place. Good people run good companies. Hope to see this shop out of business soon. Oh I almost forgot the Trans cooler line cost me $440.00 at another Shop. You have been warned. read more

I had them quote some work, and they seemed kind of "slippery" to me. They provided pricing for what I asked...and included a bunch of "recommendations". They didn't even look at the car yet, and they were making additions and "recommendations"? I don't appreciate the "up sell" before I've even had them do any work. read more

Dishonest but reliable. I took my truck in to get a thermostat replaced. The guy behind the counter insisted that it was a 1.25 hour labor fee according to their "flat rate manual". I know that it doesn't take an hour and a half to change a thermostat on my truck, I've done it myself. I asked to see his manual for myself, he looked flustered. Turns out, both of the manuals they use say it is a 1.1 hour job. This is a difference of $20 worth of labor. The real messed up thing is, he was not willing to honor the 1.1 according to his flat rate manual. I consider that robbery. The plus side is, I've showed up with my truck with no appointment twice and they have been able to help me out immediately. This place is reliable but you are sure to get ripped off. Lee Myles auto repair in Bohemia, NY rips off seniors. My mom brought car there to be repaired 4/9 charged her 490.00 then she broke down again 5/8 and they charged her 554.00 again. This time they didn't even call her to get approval for the repair just did it then called her to pick it up. 6/2 we finally brought it to chevy and they actually fixed it. We put a complaint in to the BBB and they never responded. I tried calling the corporate office 4 times in a week, left a message every time with no call back. Beware Seniors !!!!!! read more

In January 30th, 2018 I realized that my auto inspection was due to expire at the end of the month. I called Bohemia Auto Repair and spoke with Mary who assured me that she'll do all she can to accommodate my crazy schedule. Long story short, she quickly got me in and got my car inspected and also noticed that I was due for an oil change in the next few weeks and offered to provide the service at the same time. I brought my car in to have my radiator replaced. To have this done the front end of the car is taken off as well as the headlights. A few weeks later one of my headlights came flying out of my car while driving. When I had the car looked at the other headlight was also not locked or clipped into my car. When I contacted Lee Myles and spoke to the owner he wanted to charge me for the repairs and felt he was not responsible for happened and will not reimburse me for the costs of the repairs/damage. My place of work uses Lee Myles to have basic maintenance done on our vehicles (inspections, oil changes, etc.). I also started using them for my own vehicle since it's walking distance from my job. I can't comment on prices for major repairs, but the staff here is incredibly friendly. They have no problem with me swapping out work vehicles on a daily basis & I can drop my own car off without an appointment (I just call ahead in the morning). I am thrilled to be working so close to such a great auto shop! I don't dread oil changes anymore, ha! :) read more

RUN DONT WALK!!!!!!!! I had issues with my LandRover drove it to Lee Miles told me they'd look at it and let me know. Went home they called. Read the reviews got it out of there ASAP after Brian Skeezer (name fits) told me I need a transmission $4500!!!!!!! I did NOT tell them I was coming to get it (didn't want them to do anything to it). ALWAYS GO WITH YOUR GUT (and reviews). Turns out after bringing it to another transmission place was only the Linkage cost $500. Thank GOD! I trusted my gut and got the HELL out of there. I have 4 children 2 in college. This would have been a HUGE set back. After calling a few places - Other tranny companies also said DO NOT EVER GO TO Lee Miles. I have reported them to channel - 7 on your side. Fingers crossed these slime balls get whats coming. read more

I recently moved into the area and was looking for a place to get a NYS inspection, oil change and some routine maintenance work. I called for an appointment and got one for the following day. When I arrived the staff was very friendly and helpful. They performed the work and made some suggestions based on the manufacturer's schedule. At no time did they attempt to hard sell the items, and the work was fine, as was the price. Since then I have been back twice and had the same results. I am surprised at some of the unfavorable reviews I saw, but I can't say anything unfavorable about my experiences there. read more

BE CAREFUL! I wouldn't knock the whole chain because they are independently owned. I can only comment on the shop in Bohemia, New York. The transmission on my Honda Pilot went at about 90,000 miles. I took it to Lee Myles Bohemia because It was close to me and it had to be cheaper than Honda right? The price I was quoted (after my transmission was dissasembled) was about $1,000 more than a typical transmission shop, and about $1,000 less than Honda. I had no choice but to pay at that point. I got my car back and 7,000 miles later my transmission blew again. While a pain in the ass I wasn't that worried because I had a warranty. Think again. I was accused of abusing my vehicle in the snow and my warranty would be void. They went so far as to say that I admitted abusing my vehicle when I brought it in. Not true. I take meticulous care of my car and have the records to prove it. Why would I abuse it? Needless to say I have pending litigation against them. All I know is my car went for 90,000 miles until it needed a transmission. Seven thousand miles after their repairs I needed another one. Draw your own conclusions. read more

My Father-in-law was robbed by these people. They took advantage of an old man who knows nothing about cars. To replace an alternator and battery on a Kia Sportage they charged him $869. Of course that was before they give him a "good customer" discount of $131 totaling with tax $818. Of course with a price like this the discount was meaningless because their price was still way in excess of what any other honest mechanic would charge. If this job had been done by the Kia dealer they quoted me $684. If it had been done by another Lee Myles a few towns over it was $499. At my friends shop with no discount to me it would have cost $350. These thieves claimed they put a new alternator in his car and charged him for one. When I got under the hood with a mirror and a flashlight it was clearly on the label that it was remanufactured. They charged him $200 for a battery that costs $100 then charged labor to replace it at a rate of $133.57. I told the lying crooks over there they must have the best mechanics in all of Long Island and they claim they did. I asked them for a refund to my father in law's credit card for $309 which still left them with more profit than every other station would have made. While Brian who runs the shop listened to me, returned my calls and was polite this does not change the fact that he and the others at this Lee Myles are lying con men that prey on people who don't know better. Unfortunately for me, my father-in-law was not willing to let me peruse this any further. He just wants to move on with his business somewhere else. I will be overseeing all of his car servicing at this point. The shame of the matter is he was going to these crooks for some time and if I was really willing to get agitated I could go through previous repairs and I'm sure find out this was not the only time they did this. In the interest of full disclosure let me state there was a $99 charge to tow the car one mile so they could shaft him. I don't usually take the time to write a review but felt compelled to warn others of the insidious business practices going on at this establishment! Who ever thinks Lee Myles of Bohemia is honest must be friends of Brian, the manager over there! Maybe they get free car repairs for saying good things about the place? Frankly it's the most dishonest repair shop I have ever had the misfortune of going to. DON'T DO BUSINESS with them! They are a bunch of greedy liars and make up more lies as they go along. I was told by Brian, (when I considered towing my car back out of there) that the final total would be 600 and included the towing and diagnostics but in the end it wasn't...they also charge $150 for oil changes without informing you! I am having my car looked at by a real auto repair professional just to make sure the work was actually done. If the manager was dishonest about the pricing who knows what else he was lying about... we ended up shelling out $900 dollars for a simple $387 repair. Don't make the same mistake we made. read more
