The guys running this shop are very nice and Marcel was great. My only disappointment was that the computer kept shutting down and the credit card machine wasn't working. Took unnecessary extra time to complete the transaction. If they fix those 2 things, happy to give them 5 stars! read more

Took vehicle in for inspection, Paid the 37.00 . I received a phone call the inspection failed (2015 jeep) and told take it to my mechanic have whatever is wrong fixed then bring it back. Bring the vehicle to my mechanic he hooks the car up for inspection with me right there and bam it passes. He says theres nothing wrong with your car it's Jiffy lubes equipment. Call Jiffy lube they don't want to hear it. He tells me we charge if the vehicle passes or not. Yes i understand that, if there was something wrong with my car! but your charging me because your equipment failed. Filed a better business bureau complaint and will never use them again. I don't understand some business today, no integrity or honesty. That is not how you keep customers. read more

Went back again today for my NY state inspection & this time I was greeted by someone different than last. He told me that their inspection machine was down. I said, "No problem, I can come back later, or tomorrow, or even another day!" -- his reply was "NOOO!!!". He then proceeded to direct me to a very seedy part of town where his friend at some miscellaneous shop would "Take care of me" -- & to make sure I told them "JELANI" sent me! Hmmm... Why wasn't I being redirected to another Jiffy Lube location I wondered. Probably so he can likely get his *kickback* from this other place -- also, I was driving a VERY nice car, he even complimented me on it. I'm no dummy, at the shop he was directing me to was probably going to say I need all sorts of things done to my car to pass inspection because they think I have DEEP pockets -- that is if they didn't outright murder me to steal my wallet & car right then & there! Nice try! If I were Jiffy Lube management for this location, I'd be very concerned & would be looking into some replacements ASAP! This is ALARMING to say the very least. I hope nobody falls for this, but I'm sure it will work well enough on most unsuspecting victims who will fall prey to such vermin of society. read more

Absolutely Fantastic Service! There were only two employees working at this Jiffy Lube....the cashier and the mechanic. The cashier came out of the office and was a total team player....they both were working very hard to service my vehicle. GOOD JOB to the both of you! read more

It's a jiffy lube so I went in with low expectations but was shocked by the low level of competence! 2 bay's open and I still had a 15 minute wait before someone even talked to me. Spend another half hour in the dirty waiting room only to be told the don't have filters for a ram 1500, it only one of the best selling trucks on Long Island! My car was returned to me full of trash and with oily hand prints on the steering wheel, dash,and hood! read more

I took my car to be inspected and it also had headlights not working. The day I brought it in they were really busy and Lou asked me to bring it back that night. I went in the rain and they all came out to access my headlight problem. It was fixed and inspected very quickly and I was on my way. Very pleased! read more

I am very pleased at the service an Assistant Manager gave me named Jalani. I get oil changes here and always have a full report and questions answered about anything on my car. I always leave secured about the information given. For example while getting service here in addition to my concerns with my car telling me one thing the AM informed me thoroughly about the disadvantages of if I did not get my tires fixed because I have sensors on them. I was frustrated with my car telling me the air pressure needs to be checked. I am so glad I was not taken advantage of and now after getting a long history of excellent service at Jiffy in West Hempstead, NY because of the AM I know exactly what to do. Thank you Jalani. I highly recommend here, this guy is really a customer service professional, quick, & very helpful and this is just reassuring to me so I had to share this review. West Hempstead jiffy lube ...excellent service!! someone greeted me at my parked car door. they informed me that I had no oil, oops, made a few suggestions, I didn't feel pressured at all. got an oil change and an engine flush in my old jeep. the guy managing that day was wonderful. Jeep is running so smoothly, more so than any time I've taken it to my mechanic. I will definitely go back, just hope the service will be as good as the first time. read more

I made the mistake of going there and now they have an automated service that calls and asks how service was over and over and over and over and over. No exaggeration. I won't go back because of it. They also almost used the wrong oil and when I question what they were using they tried to BS me. I would rather go to the mechanic then have some non mechanics waste my time telling me what they think when they are not real mechanics read more

First off let me start out by saying I NEVER leave bad reviews. I always give everyone the benefit of the doubt but my last experience, and I mean LAST experience ever at this particular Jiffy Lube has me on fire right now. I went there 2 weeks ago for an inspection... I've never failed.... my car is older but runs perfect. After about 30 mins the guy calls me in and says "sorry you failed due to your axel. The CV Boot needs to be fixed". He said "bring it to my friend and he'll fix it. This is very dangerous and needs to be fixed Asap". I said "ok I have a friend who is a mechanic and can do it for me". I called my friend and they spoke on phone quick. After they hung up his whole tune changed and said "well its probably an easy fix so don't worry. I'll give you a 10 day extention". I thought oh that's nice but weird he changed up his "serious concern" about the issue. Anyways I left and and it took my friend 2 weeks to get the part and install (today) and he sent me to his mechanic friend. While there the mechanic says "you failed inspection recently?" I said yes and explained the reason. He laughed and said "ah they tried to pull a quick one on you. They aren't legally allowed to fail you for that. It's against the law. They can warn you and inform you but can not fail you. Look at the paper that states you failed and look at the reason. It won't say axel or cv boot." I looked and it said something completely different. And the only reason I see he gsve me the extention after speaking to my friend was that he must've thought "ah shit". Well Jiffy Lube... I doubt I'll be hounding you for my 37 dollars back but I will definitely make sure this bad review is posted anywhere possible. I've been going there for a very long time but now, never again. And I will be sure anyone I know personally never does either. Oh and PS ...I checked DMV website to see what can not be failed for inspection and that was one thing on the list of about 20 things. Says they can inform and warn you but can NOT fail you. Hence why that was not the marked down reason on failed inspection paper. read more
