I was mostly satisfied with Jika's cleaning. The price was reasonable, quoted at $50 per person per hour, with a team of two coming to my house. I had requested a deep clean, which I feel was not achieved. However, had this been a regular cleaning, I would've been satisfied. I was told that the cleaners would arrive at 8:30 AM, but instead they arrived at 8 AM. I would rather they be early than late so not a big deal. The two ladies arrived with their own supplies, and were ready to work immediately. I left the house to complete some errands and because I know sometimes it's uncomfortable to be watching people while working. I was told that they needed a bit more time to complete cleaning, which was fine with me, so they had roughly an extra hour and a half to work. One lady didn't speak English at all, while one spoke a small bit and used an app to translate. They offered to do a walk-through once they were done and I had arrived back home, but at that point, I was ready to just lie down on my couch and be done. Payment was completed over Zelle. Things that were awesome: the floor was nice, the oven was cleaned, and they completed a miracle in my bathrooms. It was enough of a cleaning for me to be able to maintain this for while, as I have some chronic health issues and a recent surgery that had me behind on cleaning. Things that I wish were better: they did not wipe down the wainscoting floor trim (there were parts that were still visibly dirty with puppy splatter and /or dust), there were some corners a bit over head height that had not been dusted as I had to go back later and wipe down a cobweb or two, the toilet paper holders still had dust on them, the light fixtures were not cleaned at all, the fans still had a bunch of dust on them, my kitchen table had not been wiped down, and windows/sliding glass doors were not cleaned and still had visible mess on them. Now, I know what you may be thinking. It looks like my list of complaints are larger than my compliments. However, my house was really dirty to start with, and they managed to get it to a decent looking level. Some of the things they missed, could be that they didn't have time to get to it such as the windows, and other things could be me being picky. I cannot afford a regular cleaner, but would be willing to give this cleaner another chance should I need something in the future. I don't think I had a bad experience, I just likely needed to communicate my needs better.

Here are my thoughts and I hope they help you make an informed decision on whether to hire Jika for your place. **Street shoes removed But I have to say that my most impressed part of this entire process is the respect that Jake shows me when they come into my home. First by taking off their street shoes and putting on slippers. I have never ever seen a cleaning person ever do that without me asking first. I didn't even have to ask - it's the first thing they did. **No language barrier They use Google Translate, so if you need to explain something, they have a way to communicate which is really beautiful. They're friendly, nice, personable, respectful, and they're quiet when they're working. **Methodical They're methodical, but not so slow that take too long. They are attentive and careful and not rushing. That's the one thing I noticed about the Jika crew, and I've had five service calls from them to my house so far. **Quotes versus Real time They ask some questions in the beginning. Jika pretty close in terms of how much time it takes to do things. I haven't yet found a situation where they need more time than what they quoted me. That being said, I did prepare photos in advance so that they knew how many rooms and what the rooms look like. They knew the quality and condition of the home so they could properly quote the job. I think that's important to do - to send them pictures so they quote the job and you're not surprised at the end. **Materials and supplies They bring their own cleaning materials and don't use bleach. They will use your supplies upon request. **Bathrooms I love the way they clean my bathrooms. That's my number one requirement - that the bathroom is immaculately clean down to the cracks. And you know what? They got the floor corners, they got under the sink, they got behind the toilet, they got the walls. I have ceramic tile everywhere and messy boys. The walls were sparkling and shining. The tub was scrubbed. The faucets were glistening. They did such a beautiful job in the bathrooms. **Bedrooms They also did a great job making the beds, organizing things, and straightening things. At the last minute, I did ask them if they could help me out with my kitchen and help organize a couple drawers. They had to call the boss and just say, "Hey, do we have time to do this?" And they did end up having time to do that - that's kind of an add-on. **Extra requests You have to consider that if you need them to re-organize drawers or clean out refrigerators or clean stoves, you do need to request that in advance. And it does cost extra. *Well trained They do a wonderful job. They don't use toxic materials, things don't smell. They know the difference between a Brillo pad and a non-scratch sponge, so there's just little details like that that mean a lot to me. They seem to have strong knowledge of how to clean and how to go from the back to the front of the house and out the door, which is great. **Large staff I noticed I haven't gotten the same cleaning crew each and every time, so if you're looking for the same crew, you probably won't get that. But what I do notice is that even though the crews are different, and you might have to explain to the new crew that comes in what they have to do again, they seem to still be trained from sort of the same standard. **Folding clothes They also do fold clothes if you ask, so that's something that sometimes takes more time and money, but if you just have a few couple little items of clothing you need folded, they'll do it. I have children, so sometimes my youngest son, who is really, really sloppy, leaves his clothes in a giant ball in a basket after he's washed them, and he doesn't do folding. They do a wonderful job folding, they do a great job making beds. **They are on time. And on budget. Payment process is seamless for me. I pay online and I love that. Owner always follows up to check if things are good. **Highly recommend Overall I recommend Jika to daily clean, deep clean, spring clean or drudgery job clean (inside fridges and ovens) without reservation.
