For 30 years Mom had cooked from scratch practically every day in her kitchen, turning out steaming bowls of gumbo, fragrant loaves of bread, big southern breakfasts, heaping platters of delicious fried catfish. Even into her early nineties, while taking care of our dad, she cooked, even though she herself wasn't well. Towards the end as her energy waned, her cooking never suffered but the cleaning did. I was very hopeful after reading great reviews. 3 ladies came to my home to clean it before I move in. Brenda assured me that hardwood floors are cleaned with Murphys or vinegar. Only one spoke a little English. I was clear that I wanted floors moped, surfaces cleaned, windows cleaned, carpet vacuumed , closets mopped, bathrooms cleaned, all drawers and cabinets cleaned. I don't think she really understood. 2 hours later I returned to find the house in the same way I had left it. There was still construction dust. Bathtubs shower toilets were not cleaned.floors were dusty. Countertops dusty. Baseboards dusty. The windows had not been touched. They didn't even have windex. The carpet was vacuumed. The ladies were walking around in their dirty winter boots. One was coughing and sniffling. The lead lady tried to blame the poor job on the other two. She attempted to redo rooms. It was apparent they had no supplies. Brenda was not apologetic, didn't offer to make things right, but didn't offer to refund my money, discount, or send another crew. Very disappointing. read more

Your Home has not been loved until it is entrusted to the ladies who work for this company. I have tried other services before but they are by far the BEST!! The previous owner fried foods a lot so I could not get this crap up off the floor (see Pictures) and other companies won't try- not these ladies. I'm so happy. When people do things that you don't even ask for it is total AMAZING. I was in another room when I heard one of the ladies shaking the toaster to get the crumbs out so she could finish cleaning it, another lady was running her rag along the baseboards. Usually baseboard are special requests!! My home looks so amazing and feels like a showroom now that it has had the wonderful touches of the ladies from Best Friends Cleaning. I too experience them organizing my drawers which was a total welcomed and appreciated surprise. I texted the owner within the 1st hour to tell her how much I appreciated their dedication to detail. Frankly, I've been traveling more than I've been home this month. I reached out to Best Friends Cleaning with a potentially strange request: come clean my condo while I'm away on business. They didn't know me. I didn't know them. The place wasn't nasty or anything, but I wanted to come home without a "to do" list. So, we set a date by email. I left a key under the mat downstairs and emailed a generic list of "wash the floors and dust, please!" Well, I just got home and felt compelled to write this review. I'm AMAZED at the detail Best Friends put into my condo! I'm looking for dust and can't find any! With a dog and a cat, that's very, very rare. It's clear that the folks that stopped by cleaned with care and thoroughness. Knick-knacks are carefully arranged... floors are spotless. Counters? Shining. Sink? I could eat out of it. Shower? Cleaner than I am after a shower. Hands down, I'm completely thrilled. I posted videos on Snapchat, and I've already had several requests for their contact info. I found them on yelp and notice they had 5 stars reviews and I called them a Monday and asked if they were available on a Tuesday afternoon they said yes!!! :) short notice. They had quoted me over the phone one price which was reasonable compared to other companies I called. But once the work was completed they charged me less which was fantastic!!! I knew this ladies would be great! They were on time and it took them 4 1/2 hours to clean. Very happy with their services. I will definitely be calling them again!! I purchased the cleaning as a Yelp deal. The house cleaner was a no-show for the first appointment and claimed that no one was home. However, 2 of us were waiting for the person and even waited on the front porch. Best Friends did send another person out the following day. All I can say is WOW! These ladies pulled off nothing short of a miracle! Our place was not in the best of shape. We've been in and out of town on vacations for the last couple months and haven't kept up with house cleaning. That coupled with a four year old leads to quite a mess. I thought they did a fantastic job on my apartment! Been really busy with work, preparing my daughter for back to school and last min wedding planning that there just wasnt enough time in the day to straighten up my place. When I contacted them they got back to me right away with a quote. Any questions i had Brenda got back to me within a few hours. I had asked if they can come while I am at work and they agreed. It was so nice coming home to an extremely clean house. Not only was it extremely clean, but they had actually rearranged some furniture in the living room to have a better view of the tv. I contacted Dalia early on a Thursday morning to schedule something for that Saturday. I was extremely happy that she was able to accommodate me since I was hosting a dinner party and I wanted to have my house clean. I also asked her that if Friday should open up I would take the vacancy. To my surprised she called me Friday morning saying she had a cancellation and the ladies could come that afternoon. I asked for my hardwood floors to be cleaned throughout the house, kitchen and bathrooms. I had to leave while the ladies were cleaning and didn't get back to see them go. Upon my return I found my floor looking "awful", they were dirty and you could easily see how they didn't even swiped under my area rug. They have absolutely no experience with hardwood floors. Obviously I contacted Dalia, she convinced me to allow her to send someone the following day to correct the mistake. Second day was no better, the ladies came and they agreed with me on how bad my floors were. They mopped and showed me dirty dirty water, obviously they didn't clean my floors the day before. It gets worse my floors are clean now but NO SHINE they didn't use the product they brought because they said they were not sure that product inside was what the bottle said it was. So they recommend I go to the store and buy the product they regularly use so I can mop my floors and eventually make them shiny. Are you kidding me? So why did I waste my time booking them? So that I can get cleaning advice? And to top it off Dalia never contacted me to follow up on the second visit. I do not recommend this business..... update, Dalia did send me a text to check and apologize because the ladies confirmed how dirty my floors were and said the owner said I won't get charged. This was never about the money I have no problem with their rates, all I wanted was shiny, clean hardwood floors. read more

Finally after 2 years I found the right one they will clean places you never care to check for! (or been before :D) and very honest personal. I never around when they come to clean my house but this don't mean they won't do there job right they even go the extra mile to place items I may have misplace (remote control, gold ring, usb flash drive,extra set of keys,)where I can easyly see it and there price's same to be very reasonable for a biweekly service. read more

I usually don't write bad reviews about businesses because I don't want to ruin people's business. However this is a constructive criticism hopefully the business could learn and improve from. Other people may have better experiences. My first house cleaning was exceptionally clean. There were 3/4 ladies showed up and did a deep cleaning which charged $150 and they took about 4 hrs to clean. Monthly payment was $95. The monthly appointment At first took about 3 hrs to clean with 3 ladies. Eventually 2 ladies showed up and cleaned with less than 2 hrs sometimes. There were twice that they forgot about the schedule and every time after that I had to text them couple days in advance to remind them. They showed up late sometimes but I didn't mind. They left couple surfaces covered with dust and I complained twice. I was just thinking they all need a job for living so i would complain but didn't t end my business with them. On the last service I wanted my windows to be cleaned and asked how much would they cost in addition. From the text message that I understood there would be no extra cost but just extra time that the ladies put in. I thought in my head ok that's nice of them so I would plan to stay around the house longer for them to finish. I even bought the a box of donuts as my way of showing appreciation. When I gave the ladies my payment she called her boss and wanted more money. I told her that I'm always on the fixed rate and she never mentioned about hourly charges. Especially I always paid the same for the past few months whether they worked for 2 hrs or 3 hrs. There would be different ladies so I couldn't tell who would take longer or faster. I talked to the boss on the phone and told her my understanding of the text message. She said ok next time she would charge me more and I said thats fine since the ladies only cleaned half of the windows in the house. Thinking next time I would pay and tip them for the rest of the windows. Even though I was annoyed that they expected more money without being clear to me. About 2 hrs later the boss called me to end the business with me. I felt irritated and bad at the same time because it seemed like I was being cheap and had been giving them a hard time. She refunded our money, explained the expectations she has for her staff, and assured she would counsel them. It's a shame that one dishonest person can affect a business so negatively. I tried Best Friends Cleaning Service on a referral from a friend. They are truly amazing and I will definitely use them again. My two young girls keep our house looking busy...we have time to tidy up, but I was needing help for all the cleaning and deep cleaning I don't have time to do as a working mom. The service was top notch and I am very pleased with everything. My house smells amazing afterward and the cost is very reasonable. Hired for a move-out clean of our old apartment. First time hiring a cleaning service. Emailed and they called me in about an hour and got an estimate. Reasonable price, and able to schedule for the day requested. They even pointed out the Yelp deal to save me some money. However: got a call 1 hour before the scheduled arrival, saying their crew was stuck at another client's job that would take much longer than expected. And they couldn't get to us until 3 hours later than planned! They did give me 20% off for the inconvenience, which was nice. That time came, and no one showed. Called the office, and they went to the wrong address. Another 30 minutes later they finally showed up. Hooray! They sent 3 friendly women with their own supplies. It took 2-1/2 hours to clean practically every inch of our empty 750 sq ft apartment (2 bedrooms, 1 bath). They did a very thorough job and the whole place was sparkling. Would have given 5 stars, except for the very late arrival, because we were waiting around in an empty apartment with no heat. Great cleaning job though. read more

I contacted Best Friends Cleaning via Yelp to clean an apartment in downtown Chicago. From the beginning Brenda was responsive via email and we arranged for two of her crew to come clean. The two ladies showed up on time with all of the necessary supplies and worked very hard to clean a very dirty (four college boys) apartment.
