I traded my Tundra with a camper shell for a new Nissan Frontier on 5/9/24 with an agreement that I would keep the camper top. I retained the text conversation (see attachment). It clearly stated that I keep my camper. 2 weeks later after the deal is completed (they were paid in full on day one) and they decided to keep the camper. Just because you have a verbal and written agreement with Jim Bass Ford evidently means nothing. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!!! I will continue to pursue my property and will post any updates. I have purchased many vehicles and had a great relationship over the years at Jim Bass Ford. Things change, managers change and now they have completely lost my trust. I will never be able to go back!!

Approved? Thanks Jim Bass Ford now I have a nice GMC Sierra Denali

If you are looking for a great place to waste your time Bass Bunch Ford is the place to be. After two days of negotiation and financing terms approved by Ford and confirmed by the Sales Person Corey Writgit I was called to pick up the truck and upon arrival GM says Texas law does not allow co-signers financing. Big BS we have owned many new cars here. We felt that it prevented a great act of discrimination, but we are way happier now with a much better price on a GMC SIERRA DENALI. Be aware!

I recently bought a truck here that was a blue certified vehicle with an extra four month warranty. Since I had a work truck I didnt drive it much and was punished for it. I put less then 2000 miles on a vehicle i had for 6 months and so far the ignition coil wires were coming out so i had to get a new pig tail and replace the wires myself since the warranty was no more, then the oil cooler lines come out and leak all the engine oil in a matter of seconds and now im stuck on the side of the road. idk what kind of inspections theyre doing but appearantly theyre not very good ones. so far ive spent more in parts and tows then i have in gas for the truck. 2-19-2023 After looking into what the problem might be, come to find out this truck looks like it has been into a wreck and they neglected to tell me this information when purchasing it. Even though a blue certified vehicle clearly states in the inspection that they make sure the oil lines and the frame are in good shape, this wasnt the case for my 2019 chevy silverado blue certified vehicle. The oil line was completely ruptured from the fitting and the framing near the control arm is severely bent. Control arm and tie rod ends have been replaced and they couldnt even put the shroud underneath the fan back on correctly. its was bent to hell. I shouldve known when my buddy (who is a body man) told me that the grill gaurd was crooked. Now i know why. Dont forget i put less then 2000 miles on this truck. This has been a total waste of money and i will be getting rid of this truck. i suggest to anyone that they do not buy used vehicles from this dealership because they do poor work. i posted pictures of what i found when crawling under the vehicle.

We don't live in San Angelo but our son is attending ASU so we took his Mercury Mariner to Jim Bass Ford thinking if anybody can fix a Mercury it would be a Ford dealer. So he took it in for vibration and overheating. Two weeks later I called to find out what was going on. I was told they haven't checked it yet but they will get to it that day and let me know what they find. It wasn't long before I got a call saying they can't find anything wrong with car and that it appears to working fine. My son picked up the car and by the time he got home it was overheating. He took the car to an independent shop and they replaced the aux fan saying that the broken fan was the overheating problem and what made the car shake when driving with the ac on. My son picked up the car and by the time he got home it was overheating. So I decided to give Jim Bass another try. Three weeks later and multiple calls to Gabe, who was out to lunch, sick, or just off that day, I finally asked Tony to give me some answers on the car. Tony said there were no notes on the work order other than a bad water pump. Since neither Gabe nor the technician were there that day that was the only answer he could give me other than the fact that they could not replace it since they no longer had Mercury parts. So my son picked up the car, still overheating. I went to San Angelo to help my son replace the water pump, which we bought at an auto parts store. When I raised the hood I noticed there was no fluid in the coolant overflow tank. We drained about a pint of coolant from the system, took the water pump out which was spinning freely and appeared to be ok, so we replaced it and the thermostat just in case. I called Tony and asked him how the Ford factory trained technician determined it was the water pump. There was no explanation on the work order and no other information about any diagnostic testing. So we filled the system with coolant and there on the upper left side of the radiator was fluid leaking out of a crack. We went back to the parts store to get a new radiator and in conversation with the gentleman behind the counter, he told a similar story about Jim Bass Ford service department. I can only assume the service tech didn't do a pressure check or even look at the coolant overflow tank. Now the car is back on the road and I'm writing this review instead of calling the service manager to complain, so that other people thinking a Ford Factory Service Center is a sure thing for quality, fair and thorough service will reconsider taking their automobile to Jim Bass Ford. P.S. I was still mad writing this so I decided to look up the pump he said they couldn't get. I attached a picture from Ford Factory website parts. Still available. I'm in a state of laughable anger Now.

Not worth making an appointment. They don't ever see it when you take it until days later. Not even a courtesy call for an update.

Well all you need to know is see their Yelp ratings. I had people locally say don't do business…read morewith them but just thought that was some sour apples. My bad...probably should have researched that more before my purchased. On 5/25/2026, I purchased a 2023 Jeep Gladiator. Well of course they're gonna be attentive with a potential customer. It now 7/17/2026 and I still don't have my vehicle registration. I contacted them numerous times to get a status update and all i get is "we're looking into it". I'm about to have a Jeep I can't drive because it doesn't have a registration sticker. I've already been stopped for not having a sticker displayed. Horrible customer service. But to be honest, this one is on me. I should have listened to what people told me and do more research. One thing is not sure, I won't make that mistake again. Like others tried- you've been warned.

I took my wife's 2022 VW Passat for an oil change to this dealership on 07/29/26. AFTER finishing…read morethe service, they showd me a picture of a section of the oil pan, with what appeared like new oil on one of the bolts. I told them that is weird as the vehicle was NOT leaking oil and I would take them to my house where it's normally parked so they can see for themselves. They quoted me around $900 to "fix" it, but I declined. The next morning when my wife left to work with the vehicle, there was a massive oil stain where the vehicle stood for the night. I called the dealership, who told me to bring in the vehicle. THEN all of a sudden there was a substantial leak due to the pan being plastic, and it just worsened. They are claiming they did NOTHING wrong, it's the oil pan and want me to pay for what I believe they messed up. I also found out from someone else who also took a VW Jetta to service there, that they had the exact same issue there. Someone also took a VW Golf to be serviced there, same thing - from NO OIL leaks before the oil service, to sudden oil leak and damaged oil pan! How convenient, and what a way to make extra hundereds of Dollars off clients. This is a dealership that will screw you over and not flinch, by the looks of it. I have never dealt with such a pathetic service department in the past. I would NOT even take a wheelbarrow there for a tire-change after my experience. I tried to get the Service manager to drive (at my cost) to my house to then show me the oil leaks that should have been on my driveway (under the carport) IF the vehicle was leaking oil, as they suggest. He obviously denied my offer, because he knew they would then not have a leg to stand on.

Thankfully, the rear light worked but it was blinking a million times a second which warned me that it was next to fail. I thankfully and prayerfully made it home safe and called Mitchell Toyota yesterday (Monday) to see if they had any appointments to get my light fixed. The Customer Service Associate told me to come in after 1:30 p.m. and I was seen as soon as I arrived. I went to the Parts Department and was helped by a very pleasant Associate who gave me a "Military Discount" on the bulb I needed. What's more, Toyota DID NOT charge for the Labor of installing the bulb (Fist Pump! And Fist Pump Again!) I waited about 30 minutes in the Waiting Room after paying for my bulb, but was very happy to learn my vehicle was ready. While I have read the previous reviews, I am glad to report my experience was everything that I have come to expect of Toyota after having owned one for almost 20 years. While in San Angelo, I definitely plan to come back to this location for my automotive needs. Until the next bulb blows ~

She sounded irritated and as if I interrupted her - perhaps she was busy on her FB page - not sure - but very unfriendly! I then called the front desk/reception and again spoke to someone NOT TOO friendly, but also not rude. I asked to speak to the GM - was then told he was in a meeting. I asked WHO he was, to which she at first sounded reluctant to give his name - then after asking again - she said it was "Sean". I asked her to please ask him to call me - she said she would give him the message. Today is Friday, May 20th, and NO call has come from "Sean" - the GM! As a business owner for many years, I am amazed how businesses like this are still in business! Is it ONLY about selling new vehicles (but then) they even suck at that! I went to them over a year ago looking at trading my 2018 GMC with very low mileage, and buying a Toyota Tacoma (I ended up buying a BRAND NEW one from Brunner Toyota in Brownwood - which means they lost that deal) - I was told by the "salesman" that he cannot give me a price on my GMC and that he needs to speak to his manager and that they will get back to me! It has been over a year, and I still have not received that call! Bet you IF I ran my business like this, I would not be in business, let alone employ people who do not know HOW to speak to potential customers! I will now take my vehicle to Abilene to get serviced - yet another loss for this business! It seems that they THINK they are doing us a favor by "servicing" our vehicles - forgetting they are getting PAID to do it! Really, is this where we are heading as a society?

Here is a bit of advice: When you say "no add-ons," read every line of the paperwork they put in front of you. I found dealership products included in the initial paperwork despite making my wishes clear. When you're told "zero down," check exactly how that number was reached and which rebates or incentives are being applied. If your new vehicle is being transferred from another dealership, ask beforehand whether it will be transported or driven. Better yet, ask for documentation of the mileage before and after the transfer. Mine was driven nearly 300 miles from Amarillo to San Angelo without that being disclosed to me beforehand. Most importantly, check the physical odometer against the Odometer Disclosure Statement before signing. My executed disclosure stated 15 miles. The dealership later confirmed the vehicle had approximately 332 miles when I took possession. I served this country for over a decade. I don't expect special treatment because of that. I do expect transparency and accuracy when I'm signing a major financial contract. Love the Kia. The buying experience is another story.
