I received a marketing letter from KIA of San Angelo. In the letter it espoused a Loan Termination Program where they would take over the current loan on my car and put me in a newer mode "at, near, or even below" my current payment. The sales person came back to me after we talked specific terms and told me the only way they could sell me a car... even a used late model... was to come up with a $500 minimum payment. That was not near the current $374 payment I am carrying. Kia knew what my payment was before I arrived and they wouldn't even show me one of their 400 cars. As a senior I felt like I was being treated like a kid buying his first car. I provide them with our household income and my excellent payment reocord... which Kia noted in the very first paragraph of the marketing letter. Basically, Kia lied to me about wanting to sell me a car. I know that it is an industry with a built in bad reputation anyway, but the sales management have taken this to an even slimyer level. The young lady who was helping me and eventually sent me out the door seemed embarrased by the situation. I did not engage the Sales Manager because Im sure the police would have had to have gotten involved. The most frustrating part of the entire episode is that I made a round trip from Robert Lee to meet with the folks at Kia. That cost me $25 just to be ushered out the door without even getting to dream about newer car. Eight THOUSAND in B.S. signing fees once you agree on a price. Plus if you're buying a car from out of town, if you get the manager he will wait to tell you that those "free oil changes" only work at their dealership, not sister stores. Hopefully the regular salesman are more transparent and honest then the manager. The car itself, great! But again the dealership, when they're cleaning and prepping the car to be sold. This car company is dishonest. I have bought FOUR Kia vehicles and will never buy another. I bought an Optima for my 3rd vehicle and it was in the shop A LOT! They finally put a new engine in it. Found out later that there was a defect in the car and this was the last year they made them. When the K5 came out, I figured they had worked out all the bugs they had with Optima so I bought one. BIG MISTAKE! Just after warranty ended, it started hesitating and driving slow. Took to a local mechanic. Said a valve had blown and sprayed gas and water in my engine. Apparently, this was a foreboding of more to come. About 4 months later, I couldn't get it to go over 60 mph. Took it to Kia this time. They told me it was battery. (Really?) They kept it a few more days and did "diagnostics" and finally called me to say that it had a faulty valve and caused the gas tank to swell. Did some research and found that this problem has been reported over TWO YEARS AGO! Several class action suits. They chose not to do a recall. Kia called me and said it would cost me over $3000 to fix it. I told them it should be their burden to pay for it. They knew of this and didn't contact me. They refuse to pay. Went and got my car. Service guy said don't drive it anymore cuz it is dangerous. ALL THE MORE REASON THEY SHOULD NOT CHARGE ME! They had pulled out my back seat to see the gas tank bulging, I guess, and didn't put it back. The inside of the car had gas fumes so bad it was difficult to drive home. Wasn't like that when I left it. They were "kind" enough not to charge me for the "diagnostics". They knew damn well what was wrong. Took me 2 minutes on the internet to find it! read more

So Went to buy A Car here and it ended up being the worst experience of my life. For Starters all the staff were good and very good at what they do of course. (I guess they were to good). I Purchased a 2022 Kia Rio for 33000.00 some how. Now my story after putting hefty down payment making sure the staff knew my budget and plan was at a good point, just took a turn for the worse. I had a budget of no more then 20000.00 and they made sure i was getting what I was asking. (at least so i thought) The vehicle it self had a sticker price of about 18145.00 which turned out not to be, and before I could catch it, it was to late I ran out of time before my 30 days to return and get full refund. ( All because they took advantage of me and my money, and after being in a hurry to pick up my family as well as being in the dealership all day; and finally getting me out and done with little time to spare!) So after all that said and after a hefty 15000.00 dollar down payment and spending all day in a dealership I got out with new car yes but as well as a super high payment and 20000.00 loan left to pay. I do not understand how this happened, I literally got screwed. The service dept guy that helped me was great!!! Got my first oil change he asked if I wanted my car washed and vacuumed I said yes. When he said it was finished he stated that the vacuum broke they could not get that done yet they did a poor job on washing my car. There are streaks all over it still dirt on it but it does look way better than what I brought it in. My windows are not clean at all, they look very foggy and have streaks all over them. read more

Terrible purchase experience from Retired Military out of town customer. I agreed on a purchase agreement over the phone with a very nice sales representative ("MO") and received pictures over the phone from another very nice representative "Erin". I got my paperwork together and my wife and I arranged to make the 3 hr drive to buy the vehicle when via email we were sent a breakdown with an additional $250 of fees I did not agree to. To be clear the dealer stated these were standard and I don't dispute that. It is just the fact that I didn't agree to them on the phone. After discussing the confusion I agreed to meet in the middle and pay $125 over the disagreement but the Sales Manager refused to make any adjustment at all. Not $1. In my personal opinion I can not trust a dealership that would take up so much of a customers time and one willing to drive 6hrs round trip and not be courteous of all that wasted time and effort for $125. This sales manger lost this sale, this customer and I would certainly not recommend this dealership to any of my Veteran friends or family. This was a terrible experience that was totally unnecessary and disappointing. I would have probably spent more than that on Floor mats and am also in the market for another Kia in December. I will not consider San Angelo Kia with this same Sales Manager. They totally lost my trust read more

So I really wasn't looking for a car but I was keeping my options open and told nick if I was going to get a car it would have to be sporty and a manual car. He was like I'll keep my eyes open and one day I just stoped by and the new 2022 forte GT was there and they said we just got 4 of them and they are all manual and sporty , and I was like naw then he was like test drive it and man I was in love. They sold me a vehicle that when I put it in reverse every now and then a grinding noise happens and it locks the tires for one maybe two seconds it does it and drive to every now and then right when starting I took it into them it couldn't give me a loaner because they said they have to find the problem well they said they couldn't duplicate the problem so there is no problem I called him up today that was 2 weeks ago I called him up today and said it's still doing it it's becoming more frequent but I and they said well bring it in next Wednesday and I said well I need a loaner car and they said we can't give you a loaner car until we find that there's a problem and I told them what happens if this happens at 65 miles an hour this vehicle is not safe to drive and to which they had no answer do not do business with them if they would have just simply acknowledge there's a problem and given solutions all I got was I can't or we can't all I heard was what we can't do if they had just give me a can do it'd be a completely different story read more

They were great Till they weren't! My husband went in and bought me a 2023 Telluride Valentine's Day best gift ever till it wasn't.That was on a Wednesday by that following Sunday the transmission was slipping and shifting hard! I addressed it with them because I did not feel safe driving it with my granddaughter in it due to it stalling at stops! They had me take it n on Tuesday at 8:30 ended up having to leave it over night service manager assured me it would be ready by noon the next day and they did not have a loaner for me to use is what I was told! Sure enough car was ready the next day had my husband pick it up, the service guy went to go fuel it up came back and told my husband it started doing the same probablemente again!They were able to "fix" it and brought it home and the next morning going to work the issue started again.. I have spoken to Morris, one of the sales manager informing him I no longer want the car due to it having a bad transmission and he assured me they would help me get into something new but at the trike they didn't have anything for me so i went a online and saw they have a few telluride sand i was told they were taken next day i saw another one posted on there and I yet to hear from him..pretty much juts getting the run around and 2023 telluride is still in the shop! read more

I ended up here after having a wheel issue on IH 10. When I first called the service department I was stuck in Ozona. Robert from service answered and was very friendly and professional, he even called me back more than once when I kept losing signal. When the tow truck driver dropped me off, Robert greeted me outside and had already called enterprise for me. He gave me a quote and a day the car would be ready and both were accurate. This dealership looks pretty new, but more important than that is the high level of customer service offered. There was a second rep in the service department, didn't catch his name.. but equally as professional as Robert. More dealers should have employees like this. read more

Do not buy a car at kia of San Angelo because they only seem to care about what you want to make a sell and when you buy a car from them a year later they will call you weekly asking to buy your car even when you tell them that your not interested. I've asked them numerous times to stop calling me and they still call me from different numbers every week. I wish they could let me enjoy my car and not be harassed by them because it's annoying. Also service at kia is terrible every time you call them they never answer and if you want to schedule an oil change it's takes up to two three weeks out and they don't work with your schedule if your going to be 10 minutes late they fill bluntly tell you that you will have to reschedule at a different time when that's the only time you have available this place is inconsiderate. Also service told me to go somewhere else since I couldn't make the schedule for my oil change. Really?? you treat me horribly as a kia customer and you call me every week and you think I'm going to sell you my car noooo WAY! I worked with Bob I told him I didn't want to waste his time nor mine, told him what I was looking for and my terms. To my surprise they out beat my own terms and give me a wonderful deal and experience. I would like to explain to Tom Green County why they should not do business with Kelly Grimsley Kia. My daughter and I decided to look at vehicles at the Kia Dealership. We purposely stopped in to test drive and look over our options for a SUV. We were promptly told that a Kia Rio would be a much better fit for young drivers. Hindsight, I should have never agreed to this vehicle because I was under distress from recently been released from the hospital with a grave illness. I was on oxygen and had a difficult time spending hours at the dealership. Mr. Tibbs was our car salesman. We test drove a Kia Rio, it had back up camera, Power locks and windows. Not quite all the amenities my 2015 Buick Verano had but we were ready for a new vehicle and we trusted our salesman! Mr.Tibbs came back and forth with some offers. We agreed on $500 down and a little over $300 a month. Sounds like a great deal right? No, absolutely not! My soon to be son-in-law had never seen the car until after Mr.Tibbs took all of the information from us by text which was all the necessary paperwork to finalize the contract. Mr. Tibbs drove us to my soon to be son-in-law whom was at local stripes where we met him to sign the contract for the 2017 Kia Rio. Mr. Tibbs then drove us back to the car lot where he then Gassed up a white Rio pulled it to the front of the car dealership where he then handed us the keys and said congratulations! We left the Buik in their hands! Shortly after the car was purchased we were contacted by Jason Crenshaw who is the director of the financial department. He explained to my daughter and I that he needed a copy of a pay-stub, copy of proof of residence a copy of a utility bill, copy of a bank statement so on and so forth. We felt this was odd because we hadn't talked with him at all during the purchase of our vehicle. We asked to speak to Mr. Tibbs and we were quickly told that he had gotten into a fight and no longer worked at their establishment! We were shocked because this was the man that told us he was going to be our go to person for the entire time we owned the car. He had instructed us to trade the car in within two years and not be upside down and he would get us into any car on the lot! We were very disheartened by the news but we agreed to supply the dealership with the necessary documentation once again. My daughter and fiancé went up to the Kia lot and set down with Mr. Crenshaw and was introduced to Nancy, she explained she was taking Stubbs place and apologized because the car deal didn't make since! She followed my children home to obtain more documentation. By this time I'm beginning to think that something has gone very wrong. I walk out and I speak to Nancy myself. After introductions, I explained how many times we have supplied documentation to their establishment. I followed up with contacting Jason Crenshaw and he said that a screenshot would be sufficient. Once again we are believing that everything is taken care of and completed after all a contract was signed and keys were handed over. But it wasn't over! Mr. Crenshaw contacted us once again for the same information and documentation. Are you kidding me? Is someone shredding all of this information? Have you all lost your mind? I was livid by this point and decided that I was not going to be at their beck and call after all we had already signed the contract and the car was in our possession. Out of nowhere today we receive yet another text message from Mr. Crenshaw. I bet you can guess what he wanted again. Are you kidding me? Is this a joke? We have now been driving the vehicle for over two months and today I decided I was going to file a grievance against Kelly Grimsley Kia dealership. I talked to at least five individuals all who recorded my conversation and documented my complaint. I'm not exactly sure what took place during the purchase of our Kia Rio but it seems very shady and I'm not comfortable with any dealership that would tell their customers they were approved by a bank, sign a contract then hand you the keys only to keep harassing for the same documentation that has been given repeatedly. It was done through text and we have proof of how many times documentation was sent. I am beyond understanding what exactly has taken place. I do know for a fact I do not trust Kelly Grimsley Kia dealership. We are at a loss for words and do not know where we stand at this point and what our rights are at this point. I spoke to Jason Crenshaw about an hour ago and he was rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional. He informed me that I was to bring $500 more and proper documentation that he has been given repeatedly. We are very unhappy with the vehicle that we received it was not the one we test drove, it did not have a spare tire, it did not have a back up camera! It runs rough!
