I would not recommend this agency or company to anyone. Between high rates and lack of communication, I would never give state farm my business. I called on April 15th to cancel my auto policy, check a week later and notice it's still on my account. I call and am told it was never cancelled. I then receive the cancellation notice in the mail and notice the effective date states April 16th, when my new insurance went into effect on the 15th! Due to this error, I'll now have overlapped coverage for that day and not get the full refund that I am owed. So frustrated and if I could give 0 stars then I would. There's no reason I as the customer should have to be the one contacting the agency to remind them to take care of things properly. EDIT: Just received a call from Jim personally to address the issue and I have to say I'm even more unimpressed. Apparently the blame is on me for stating I wanted my coverage cancelled the 15th of April because to them that meant it ended at midnight the 15th and actually cancelled the 16th. So according to Jim i should have stated i wanted it cancelled the 14th even after i told their company i wanted no coverage the 15th as that was the effective date of my new policy. And the majority of the time this guy tries to talk to me like an idiot saying his customer service reps did their job and it was my fault for not being clear enough. What a joke! read more

I've been with a lot of different insurance companies in the past and i must say that This State Farm has been fatalistic with all of my Insurance needs! I was with AAA, Farmers, and Allstate in the past. But as soon as i Bought my Exotic Cars, no one would insure me. Jim Caballero's RESPONSE TO THIS POST IS UNTRUE!!! I absolutely NEVER went back in his office and cussed at the staff and for him to falsely accuse me of that speaks to his unprofessionalism and lack of character. Furthermore there was nothing in his advertising or on his door to indicate an appointment was required. His business hours were stated on the door which would indicate he would at least be in his office. The first time I went in a couple days before he was again out of the office taking his son somewhere and when I went back the next time when he said he "welcomed me into his office" the truth is he said "well, I was going to take my son to lunch but you can come in" so it was NOT very welcoming as he right away made me feel like I was imposing on him and again during the conversation he said "you know I haven't had lunch yet". It is totally unrealistic for him to say his son was scared. Maybe he shouldn't be bringing his son to work with him and focus on being an agent during business hours. He is totally exaggerating, there was NO yelling or throwing of his business card, he is just trying to compensate for the negative review! read more

I've been with Jim Caballero - State Farm for the past 15 years and have their coverage for everything I own. They are second to NONE. Oh! the service is fabulous, and Evelyn keeps me informed on ways that I can discount my rate, by keeping an eye on my mileage, etc. They are all very professional! I have had other insurance companies in the past that cut every corner and I even learned a major company carried me for years knowing I had the incorrect insurance and if I ever had a claim, they would never pay. So they just continued to take my money for years anyway. But not Jim Caballero and State Farm. I've had to use them for claims in the past and they've always treated me with dignity and respect.
