    The Good - the very very good - Our sales rep Shane was…read moreawesome! This young man is such a gentleman with a professional distinction about him. It was truly refreshing because he was not pushy and on top of that he listened and got your questions answered promptly. He is the ONLY reason I purchased from this dealership. The not so good - this dealership prides themselves on their 180 point inspection the only problem is that there were things that were found by my husband and I that should have been caught by the service department when they performed this 180 inspection. Things they failed to find: 1) cruise control does not work 2) overhead lights not working 3) vehicle has 150,000 miles on it and they refuse to change the timing belt 4) passenger door lock will not work/lock 5) one of the engine/radiator fans loose 6) clips in several areas in the engine compartment are missing One of the managers was bragging about this inspection BUT if your service department can't repair these items but yet they say they did this inspection you just may want to clean house in the service department because they are really making your dealership look bad. Your saving grace right now is your sales team - especially Shane. If the service dept was doing their job correctly I would have given 5 stars. The 4 stars are for Shane and Shane alone! She has taken her car to Steve Padgett's at least 5 times for repairs (we live over an hour away). A couple days after each visit the lights come back on. She has had to get it towed twice since she bought it. They told her not to contact them anymore about her car when it's their fault for selling her a piece of trash car. We will never be coming back to Steve Padgett's because of how they have handled us. I advise whoever is looking to buy a car from here to look somewhere else.

    Jamil Rd off Piney Grove Rd from I 26…read more Visited recently for purposes of car appraisal, first time in at least 10 years since I purchased car from lot. I like that they have all the different brands on lot, that can have vehicles shipped in nationwide for minimum fees. I do not necessarily like that the prices are firm with no negotiation or haggling. This goes for the appraisal too, they come back with one price and that's it. It's probably personal preference but I prefer a little wiggle room vs none. The inside of the building is unchanged from last visit except there are no cubicles only lots of desks. The entire floor showroom is just desks many more than employees it is not a great look. The use to have actual cars in the showroom, this is what looks better IMO. I don't think I will use Car Max in the future, there are better deals at dealers or any other named online Car seller site.

There isn't negotiation. Everything is in front of you and it's spelled out clearly. One of the benefits of buying from here is the ease of finding the vehicle you are looking for before you even step foot on the lot. You can walk the lot if you prefer, but CM makes it so easy to find your car before you even come down. You can complete the entire process online and have the vehicle delivered, or you can reserve a vehicle and test drive it on the lot. You can walk in and meet a salesperson who will help you find your car. They have a ton of vehicles available and you can select from any location to your local store for a fee. Some ship for free. Matthew B was very thorough and showed us a bunch of vehicles. He then helped us find our choice of vehicle and we paid to ship to our store. We drove the vehicle and bought it when it arrived. The sales person gets paid a flat commission so it doesn't matter what vehicle you choose. They won't try to upsell you. Whether you buy a Chevy or a Mercedes, they are paid the same. They are genuinely interested in finding the right car for you. From the test drive to leaving the dealership in our new vehicle was a little over two hours. There was no stress, no going back and forth. What you get is an appropriately priced vehicle of your choosing. I do recommend the pre-qualification, which you can do online. It's pretty accurate and prepares you for what you can expect. You can purchase MaxCare with every vehicle. That's really the only add-on. I recommend if you're buying a higher mileage vehicle. They do a comprehensive inspection and they fix any issues before you even test drive. They also post pictures of any discrepancies online. Every vehicle comes with a three-month 4,000 mile warranty. I would absolutely recommend them and will likely purchase my next vehicle from them.

Kegan has always been so helpful and helped us out in ways we didn't know we could get out from being upside. His knowledge, energetic personality, and his positivity doesn't go unnoticed. I recently came in to Golden Motors to have new tires and rims put on my new Jeep Rubicon. I had so many question I didn't know where to start. Warren was the man who helped me out. Not only did we sit down and talk about best options for my Jeep, but also what look I wanted and what I expect to do with my Jeep. He took the time to show me different options for both tires and rims. My expectations were blown through the roof. Not only did they come in super quick and I was able to get them done the same week. He made sure I was happy and what to except with my new driving experience and made sure I loved it before I left. During my time with Golden Motors I had the pleasure of meeting Chris. He is the Jeep Man. Chris knows all things Jeeps. It was great talking with Chris about more great option I can update my interior look and exterior. With all those great ideas he gave me, I can't wait to do more! Thank you to the amazing customer service from the first initial phone call, to the entering the building with smiling great faces, till the time I walked out. MJ stopped communicating with me and will not return a text or phone call. One of the ladies that work there is the only person that returned my call. I finally received the floor mats, weeks later, after several phone calls and text. One of the only messages that I received from MJ blamed the tariffs, completely inaccurate. I still haven't received the correct tag lights, the one that was sent was the wrong one. I wouldn't be as upset if MJ, my salesman, had communicated with me better. A man is only as good as his word...something that is no longer taught and something that I will no longer accept.

    Enroute to Columbia, South Carolina for a basketball tournament weekend, and my oil light popped on…read morejust as I entered the city limits Friday evening. Unfortunately, I hadn't checked it before hitting the road, but no worries -- Columbia is a big enough city, so finding a Chevy dealership shouldn't be a problem. Luckily, I found Hendrick Chevrolet less than a mile from my hotel. I rolled in around 8:00-8:15 Saturday morning (May 16th) to see if they could squeeze me in for an oil change, and they had no problem accommodating me. I was able to drop my car off, head to the basketball tournaments, and come back later to pick it up with zero hassle. Mackie was my service advisor, and he was awesome -- friendly, personable, and made me feel like my car was in good hands. He kept me updated throughout the process and even recommended an engine filter replacement that I genuinely appreciated him pointing out. Overall, excellent customer service and a smooth experience from start to finish. I'd definitely recommend Hendrick Chevrolet whether you're local, passing through town, or just need a quick oil change while traveling. Solid 5 out of 5 stars!

When we sat with…read morefinance we asked multiple times how long the additional coating would take and it was "about an hour" from both finance and the sales guy. Make the appt for "about an hour" and show up and service tells me 3-5 hours. I planned on an hour, took time off work and had to bring a toddler along (pick up time was right in the middle). Service guy was rude, didn't even know why I was there, then couldn't even reschedule the appt. Told me to leave and call the salesman to reschedule. Asked for a manager and they said they were busy. Isn't it their job to deal with pissed off customers? I could have stayed if they had been honest and I had been prepared to sit for half the day. Giving one star because I can't give less.
