In December 2025, I purchased a set of tires for my Mercedes suv around 1800 dollars. At this time roadside hazard was not offered. Now May 2026, a bone was lodged in the tire and another tire had to be purchased for 500.00. Their response (Davis in particular) was that roadside hazard wasnt included for the 20.00 because of cutting costs at time of purchase. I'm sorry Davis, but if someone is spending that amount of money on tires, it should have never been cut. The problem is it was never offered to begin with. when I looked online I found out that the sales team gets a commission. Imagine that? They didnt offer this at time of purchase because if for some reason you do need a new tire in the future, they get more money. Bad business. If Jim was still in control, I am most certain this would not have happened. i don't recommend this home grown company to anyone anymore. Costco offers roadside hazard as well as Sam's and many more as included not as an option for their sales team to make more money in the future. read more

I went in on a very busy Friday afternoon, asked if they had time to mount and balance four tires? They said they had time and would call when finished. They were not ready by days end, not a big deal! I called Saturday morning and they again stated they were not ready but would call when ready. Fast forward 2 hours, they call and relay the tires were ready. I went to pay the bill and my bill to mount and balance four tires came to 153.75, they did not have to remove old tires because I delivered 4 brand new tires and 4 freshly powder coated wheels. So being charged 38.43 per tire. Then I realized the invoice was charging me $20 to get rid of old tire I didn't have! I relayed this to the service writer and she refunded the $20. Although still being charged 33.43 a tire! I would recommend looking for a fairly priced mechanic. I've never had anyone ask me to pay more than $20 a tire on the extremely high end! read more

We were on the second day of a trip from Texas to Florida in 100 degree weather when our A/C decided to fail. We contacted Jim Whaley Tire late on a Saturday morning from the road and they told us to come right in and they would look at it. On a busy day, they got us right in, diagnosed the bad sensor and had us going down the road with our A/C keeping us cool again in short order. We really appreciated them taking us in on short notice and getting our repair done quickly and at a very reasonable price. We highly recommend these guys for your automotive needs! read more

Took my son's car in for air conditioning work and they told him he needed a whole new system and quoted him $1,200. Their answer didn't seem to make sense with what little I know so we took it somewhere else and only the fan was out. It ended up costing about $300 instead. Just wanted to follow up with a review I posted from Work this establishment performed on my truck in 2013 Went in to simply purchase new tires, the tech destroyed my mag finish on my wheels, also performed a four wheel alignment which I told them not to do, screwed up my truck alignment thus wearing my new tires out around 10k on 50k tires. I just found out that Whaley has started to charge a $10 a tire fee for "Nationwide Road Hazard Warranty," whatever that is. I just happened to notice it on my bill because nobody briefed the extra charge or explained it to me. That means that for a dually truck, you pay an additional $60 for insurance you'll probably never use. I was quite upset and they said that they would reimburse me for it since I was never given an option to accept or refuse the charge. That said, I feel scammed and will probably take my business elsewhere. Too bad as I was usually pleased with their work. read more

2nd time this year trying to get my free tire rotation done that I have left after waiting for over 2 hours without my vehicle being touched. Called and asked what time I needed to be there. Arrived early and two hours later after nothing done I left. Felt like I was being skipped in line since I was a freebie as vehicle were coming in and going right back. This place charged me more for two camber bolts then I paid for four ball joints and two tie rods that I installed myself and then the alignment they did is way off because they didn't even take the time to air up the tires before doing it this place has cheated me out of $200 over the past month . I'm going to go pay someone else for an alignment now so I don't have to deal with these people. hope you run your business into the ground read more

I've been taking my vehicles heat for over 20 years and they have always taken care of me. Never been cheated or anything close to that nature. I always receive quick and excellent service. I walked in there on 9/19/18 to get my battery checked out. they told me I had a bad alternator and it would cost me $600 to replace it. I thought this was ridiculous so I drove across the street to O'Reilly. They checked my alternator and said it was fine. I then decided to go to the Jim Whaley store on Montgomery highway, since that's where I usually go. They also checked my alternator and said it was fine. imagine if I was some little old lady that didn't know any better. they tried to rob me for $600. Just goes to show you can't trust people especially Jim Whaley tires on West main across from flowers hospital. read more

I love this place too. I've gone there for odd problems over the years. One time they fixed a puncture for me. Today they checked the balance on my tires. I've got a brand new car so I didn't want to believe it needs new brake rotors. So Jim Whaley checked the balance and found nothing wrong with it so they didn't charge me anything. I was really hoping balancing the tires would fix the problem. Thanks for helping me. read more

July 2017 I took my vehicle to this Jim Whaley's and ended up going back numerous times. All I wanted was an oil change, fluids checked and tires rotated. I ended up with 2 new tires which was probably ok. Got the car home and had to put water in windshield washer. Had to go back to get tire sensors synced, tire pressure fixed, and show scratches on wheel hubs. Was told manager would call me when he gets back into town but he never did. Not a surprise. Two days later a friend looked at oil and it was dirty. Not sure what happened but it appears they didn't drain all the old oil out. Went back & they said it was fine and said I watched the oil get drained out. Today Nov 29, 2017 I took same vehicle to Jim Whaley's at 1940 S Oates and I received superb service. Slow as Christmas. If you take your car to the Ozark store, don't expect any expedient service. Oh they will get your car in the shop within the hour, but after the tires are off, your car just sits on the lift. In the mean time the guys in the shop are laughing, joking and carrying on. Every once in a while someone will come by your car, remove a few lugs or a tire, and then it back to more jokes. They could care less about how long you have to wait. Spent over a thousand dollars on tires from Jim Whaley tires. Went for a free rotation and balance and it took over 3 hours to get it done. Seems when they have to do a free service that's included with your original purchase you are put on the back burner. Won't be buying anymore tires from them. Guess my 1000.00 plus dollar purchase didn't mean squat to them. Piss poor customer service. Going back to Roadmart for my tires. This was the store on 84 across from Flowers hospital. read more

If you need to take your vehicle somewhere to have it serviced, TAKE IT TO YOUR DEALERSHIP! Not only did these assholes take one of our tires, (the opposite rear tire still in great condition) when we replaced one rear tire, and sell it to a used tire shop, they also botched an oil change by not resetting the computer. Now we have our vehicle at the dealership to repair our engine, costing us a large sum based on their negligence. If you like having ignorance and incompetence taking care of your car, take it to these clowns. read more
