We ate inside since it was a bit hot outside and the service was great. I'll definitely be back whenever we want to hang out in Doral. This is such a great option since it's chill and has so many options to pick from.

Aaron is wonderful to work with, communicative, and super accommodating. Whether we needed to bring our own little desserts or to come see the space set up for someone else's wedding, he always made it work for us. He worked with us to customize our menu and we were super happy with how the food turned out. They can do a lot in house, cutting down the need for more vendors and planning and making the whole thing super easy. For us, buffet dinner, appetizers, dessert, open beer and wine bar, linens, tables/chairs, and venue rental were all included in one very reasonable fee. They're easy and pleasant to work with, and if that wasn't enough, the waterfront view is incredible. If you come during a grad student happy hour, just know that the place cleans up into a beautiful and classy venue very easily. No one came to offer water or anything to drink until I had to physically get up and flag someone down. They also charge a cover fee per person on the final check and don't mention it anywhere beforehand. We ordered a cocktail at first and the waitress told us we could add a double shot to it called "ya tu sabe". Turns out the shots were just separate. They don't go with any cocktail as it's it's own concoction. Would've been nice to have that explained prior to ordering. All in all it's a fun time if you're down to pay south beach prices for a local restaurant.

There are some couches on the side, but make no mistake when you walk in you are here to dance. There are high tops circling the dance floor but it's wide open for you to get your groove on. When I arrived around 9 I told myself I was only going to stay until before midnight - well joke's on me because the music got me and I was there until 2 am. Signs of a good DJ, good Vibes, and a good night. The cocktail menu has classics, and while I started with a gimlet I switched to gin and tonic for most of the night. There is also an outside patio if you want to chill and not be in the dance floor. As someone who loves the dance floor, I never went outside, but my friends told me it was cute. While I looooove a good night out dancing to perreo, these old school vibes keep our OG Miami and Latin culture alive, and that's something I loved about my visit to Hoy Como Ayer.
