Gramp's Getaway is one of my favorite spots in Key Biscayne. There's nothing better than grabbing an ice-cold beer, soaking in the incredible waterfront views, and enjoying the amazing weather. The atmosphere is laid-back and exactly what you want from a waterfront hangout. The food is just as good as the scenery--I'm a huge fan of the burger, and the oysters are always a must-order. Whether you're meeting friends, watching the sunset, or just escaping for a few hours, this place never disappoints.

Grandpa getaway is a VIBE. the bar is on the water, trendy, and full of young people, locals and visitors alike. All the appeal of a South beach bar without having to make the haul out to the beach. We went with friends around happy hour and enjoyed beer buckets, oysters, ahi crudo, fish dip and a DJ set that would rival Miamis best. It's definitely a crowded and well known spot, which is part of the appeal, so be patient because it may take 45 min to get a table. They do let you hang at the bar inside and order drinks in the meantime, which is very clean and country club like

I love this spot more and more each time I go -- it truly the essence of Miami! Gramps getaway, is definitely a local gem that offers incredible views, great food, good tunes and 5 star service. This last visit, Dani was our server and she was just the sweetest, and friendliest. She really made our experience even more perfect than it was. We started off sipping on lemonades, will enjoying ceviche (thanks to The Lazy Oyster) and then indulged on burgers, catch of the day sandwiches, esquites, and crinkle fries. Every single thing was delicious, made to perfection, and fresh. The flavors are unique and rich. My favorite was the ceviche and the esquites. If you're looking to enjoy Miami's stunning views while getting some really good food -- look no further, this is the spot for you.

Gramps Getaway is such a great spot with a beautiful view of the Miami skyline. The scenery alone makes it worth visiting, especially in the evening or during happy hour. There is valet parking available for seven dollars, which is good to know ahead of time. We walked in with no reservation and were seated right away. The service was great and our waiter was really friendly and attentive. We came during happy hour and enjoyed the ten dollar cocktails. I ordered the double cheeseburger, which ended up being a smash burger. It was pretty good, but at $18 and not coming with fries, it felt a little pricey. It also wasn't very filling and honestly I probably could have eaten two of them. We also ordered the crab dip and that was easily the star of the show. It was spicy, had a nice kick, and we completely devoured it. The conch fritters were okay, but they didn't compare to the crab dip. The drinks were good and paired well with everything. Overall, the ambiance, service, and food made for a really fun experience. We had a great time and I'd definitely come back.

We came here on Super Bowl Sunday for dinner with a group of four. We were seated outside at a high top table. They were fairly busy, but not as busy as expected. Apparently the way we were supposed to receive had just left so we were assigned another person. We can tell by the speed of service that this person we got assigned was a little overwhelmed however, staff tried their best and there was never really a long wait. We order chicken wings, hotdog, dogs and corn besides some drinks everything was really good however, you have to realize with this excellent view on Miami. The prices are not cheap. It's all about location. There is a lack of parking space therefore there is only valet, which is seven dollar.

Highly recommended for a casual get together with friends and family. It's even kid friendly during the daytime as it wasn't packed, which gave the kids space to play and run around (we sat outdoors). The lobster roll was so delicious, so perfect! But my family's favorite thing in the menu that we kept ordering to share was the conch fritter balls -- it's a must! The cocktails were also really well prepared, and there was a DJ playing music on Sunday afternoon. The service was great. Nothing to complain about. You will have a really good time here!

Since my last visit, Gramps has stepped it up! Today, we went for dinner and it was a nice experience. Andrea, our server along with a young man, delivered great service with a smile. The views over the water is always nice to see. The chopped kale and cabbage salad is one of the best salads I've ever had in my life! It was THAT good! The wings were really good and flavorful. They were on happy hour; four wings for $12 (too pricey in my opinion). The crinkle fries were cooked to a crisp, but has potential. The double cheeseburger was perfect (according to my guest). I'm glad I went back because everyone deserves a second chance (not exes). Check them out and enjoy!

Stopped by for some cocktails to get out of the rain. They had some fun, unique cocktails with a large outdoor bar overlooking the Miami skyline. The server was great and their food menu looked good (mentioned homemade breads and sauces). Would definitely stop back to try out their food!

I can't say enough good things about Gramps getaway in Biscayne Beach. We had a nice trip in Miami and needed a place to park ourselves wile the thunderstorm went through. The drinks are amazing, the wait staff was so helpful. And the thatched roof tiki bar was a nice change from the cold Wisconsin weather.

This place was hyped up on my feed. I was excited to go with a friend after a walk. It is very casual beachy vibes. The parking was interesting. It was valet but they give you back your key and you have to get your car. Limited parking. The food was okay. The place is more all about. The view. The crowd is very laid back. Prices are decent. I would come back for the view

I've been wanting to come to Gramps Getaway for a while and since I was near the area I finally got the chance to do so. Gramps Getaway is nestled in a stunning location that feels like a hidden paradise. The lush greenery and serene surroundings make it a perfect spot to unwind and enjoy nature. The views are breathtaking, and the ambiance is both relaxing and invigorating. One of the highlights of my visit was the incredible Great Grandma DJ! She brought an infectious energy to the place, spinning classic tunes and modern hits with a flair that had everyone dancing. Her presence added a unique and delightful touch to the overall experience. The Smash Burgers at Gramps Getaway are a must-try. Juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection, they were an absolute treat. The combination of fresh ingredients and preparation made each bite memorable. The drinks were equally impressive - I enjoyed a refreshing cocktail that was expertly mixed and beautifully presented. The bar offers a great selection of beverages, ensuring there's something for everyone. Although we waited a bit for our table our order was taken promptly, and the food arrived quickly despite the venue being quite busy and it was great. Overall, Gramps Getaway is a gem. Whether you're a local or just visiting, it's definitely worth a stop. Highly recommended!

This was a fun spot for a girls night. We got there around 6 for happy hour and the location right by the water is beautiful, especially if you catch the sunset. There was a slight smell when we first sat down, but being right next to the water it makes sense. Our hostess was so friendly and welcoming which set a great tone. We ordered margaritas and they were all really good. The crab dip was a standout, whatever seasoning they use is so good. My friend got a burger and enjoyed it, and I tried the conch fritters which were okay but probably not something I would order again. Overall the drinks were great and I would definitely come back for happy hour and sunset next time!

With that said, I will never return. There is no strategy when it comes to welcoming and servicing clients. No one to sit you when you arrive. Tables were left filled with other's trash. Clients often picking it up themselves to be able to sit. When I finally got a table, I had to wait 30mins for it to be cleaned. I waited another 20 mins to be helped after waiving down the overworked waitress (who was really nice). Ordered an overpriced charcuterie board from their VERY limited menu and two Pinot noirs. I asked for the manager to discuss the trash and lack of service --- manager never came. After 30 more mins we got our charcuterie board, no waters, no utensils, no wine. Finished the food, wine got there 10 mins later, it was oxidized and undrinkable. I asked to talk to the manager again. Waited. Nothing. I approached the security guard to ask for the manager, he was very nice and apologetic, I believe Fabian was his name. He said the manager was busy and could not talk. Very disappointing experience. I will never return. The hope is that ownership sees this and changes management. Poor management turned into poor staffing, which turned into disappointed customers. We were not the only ones. If you decide to visit, I say...... BYOB and enjoy the views. They are so incredibly understaffed, it's not worth the frustration to try and get service. Food quality was poor.

I locked eyes with one of the bartender and she completely looked away from me.. several times :( took about 15 minutes and we reached our arms out and flagged bartender Reilly. Her greeting and attention was genuine so I was happy to get her. Unfortunately, she got busy and we got the initial lady that ignored us. She was not kind, not attentive and didn't really want to help us - she was very fake. With that being said, we had to remind her of our drinks after 20 minutes of placing the order, in which she responded with an attitude "it's being made. We're busy" -_- -_- :( the attitude was not needed. We watched others that came in before us being served. :( I was completely annoyed and upset. She didn't even bring the drinks to us like the other bartenders were doing, she made us get it. Poor service from this one bartender while the others were happy and servicing their patrons. After our first drinks, I noticed she spoke to her colleague and he came over and asked if we wanted to close out.. . Wtf kicking us out? We said no and he opened a tab. We did end up coming back to the Lasseter and got a gentleman bartender that was so kind and attentive and made our drinks even better! The attention to detail and love he made in my drinks, so that is why I decided to make make this a 3 stars rather than two. He saved this place. The toilet sitting area is very warm, not very air conditioned properly so expect to be a little warm especially after a couple of sips. It's also the walkway to an actual big restrooms for the whole building. The drinks are VERY pricy but the setting is perfect and makes up for it. Unfortunately, the service was not up to par. Disney priced drinks without the Disney customer service. Do I want to come back? Yes. Am I going to be picky with the vibes coming from the bartender and chose who to go to? Also yes. Hopefully, I can increase the rating.
