I messaged this company through their website, but never heard back so I called them, Luis answered, and he was in my area, and stopped by within 15 minutes. I liked him, we chatted, I showed him my fence and he gave me two verbal numbers depending on much of the fence we decided to rebuild. He then said he's send me over the actual quote with a couple of pictures of options, so I could discuss with my neighbors. And then... nothing. I never got the quote or pictures. I send numerous text messages asking nicely for it. I called and left him a voicemail. I sent two emails through the website. Someone on Facebook who claims to know him well even supposedly messaged him on my behalf. Still zero reply. This person needs to go and take a simple course in client management. Why bother coming to my house, wasting my time if you 1) seemingly don't want to do the job and 2) can't even manage the decently a reply. I even point blank asked, if you don't want to do the job, at least just TELL me so I know. Zero reply to any attempts to make contact. I was going to hire them to do the job. All it would have taken was a REPLY to any of my attempts to contact them again. Maybe your luck will vary, but 1 star for this utter waste of time.

Instead of just leaving me to figure out next steps on my own, they gave me guidance, referrals, called their contacts to get back up options in line, and were incredibly attentive. Happy to report that I used their plumber recommendation (Amesos) and the issue was cleared up that same day. I asked for a referral for a landscape designer, and they gave me one who came over the next day, and I'm looking forward to hiring Diaz to do the work if we move forward. Ignacio, who came for the site visit and identified himself as the owner, was very easy to communicate with both in person and over the phone. However, Jackie, (not clear to me if she's the co-owner or Ignacio's wife) finalizes pricing and pretty much runs the show. For our project, we had picked IVS to do the work, but the price kept increasing by thousands of dollars. I asked to speak with Ignacio since these changes were inconsistent with what I discussed with him and put them week above our other quotes, but Jackie said that's not necessary since she decides the pricing. They also charge tax on materials, which no other fencers do (since they're already paying tax to Home Depot, etc.). These business practices felt disingenuous to me and like bait and switch. I've had issues in the past with businesses like this that once the work begins they'll change order you again and ask for more money. So we did not use them. For this fence, we received multiple quotes. Two companies were in the $9-10K range and IVS was around $12K. All were licensed and bonded. We went with the lowest quote and are extremely happy with our fence.

The crew was also very efficient, showing up exactly at 9am and completing the job by 4:30pm (same day). The fence looks absolutely fantastic. It was such a positive experience that I struggle to find any faults. If I had to be nitpicky, they did leave small advertisements for the company on the fence (though this also proves how much they stand by their work). Door Pros Garage Door Co…read more 2023 we purchased a very expensive wood garage door from Door Pros. Bobby was the salesmen in San Rafael. I should have ran once I met Bobby. The kind of guy that promises you the best in the world. Well when they delivered the door to install it the door was still wet from the stainer Door Pros had stain it. They swore it would be fine! Fast forward to 2026. I have had Door Pros out over 20 times to try and get the door properly working but every Tom, Dick, and Harry (smokers who smelled like a tobacco factory) they sent must have never been to garage door repair school. Joe the lead technician in the beginning told us the door needed to be taken off and sheetrock cut out so the door would run properly. The next Joe Schmoooo told us something different. So every guy that came out in 3 years had a different story. The last guy 2 months ago said it was installed wrong and he would have the owner call me next week but NEVER a call back. I even spoke with Josh the owner a few years ago and he said they would make it good. We finally said GOOD RIDDANCE to Door Pros. They aren't Pros at all. Just a company that gives a lot of talk and gives you no action. We called another company in SF and in once visit they told us Door Pros had installed the whole door wrong. Wrong springs, bend rails, etc. etc. The door after one visit works beautifully. So stay away from Door Pros. Listen to your gut. I wish I did as we wasted 3 years of our lives with that awful company. Too many photos to post but believe me I have them in a file of companies NOT TO USE.
