I needed to get my Excursion checked out before taking it on a long road trip to southwest Florida. I talked to Paul in their service department and he said they would work it in. I flooded it trying to start it in the 15-degree weather, called them back and they sent a truck right over for a jump start. I drove to their Michigan Ave shop and left it there a few hours. Had some trouble with the equipment on the flatbed and told us to go home and he would meet us there. And he did. Dropped off the car and headed to his next run. Predatory towing scams, taking advantage of unwitting people in emergency situations, and literally calling insurance agent a "b*tch" on the phone. Totally unprofessional and unethical, don't give them your business. They don't need it anyway, because their scams keep their pockets thick. I'd rather push my car alone in the snow than do business with these crooks. Update to owner comment: They wouldn't speak that way to the insurance rep? Well, your employee did, and the incident is documented. I guess lying to do damage control is also another one of your wonderful business qualities. After being stranded in my car for 4 hours in this nasty storm on Fri March 3rd 2023 and after callng 911 a nice gentleman showed up to pull my Chrysler 300 home for me. The car had not been in an accident, and some good samartains had pushed me off the road and into a parking lot of a jeweler and again Ill reitterate had not be in any accident and after telling the driver my story I told him it was a rear wheel drive and I could orient it any way necessary as again....it had not been damaged. He hooked it up i got in the cab and we headed to take me home. His truck was 4X4 but it was sliding around too. Fair enough but he seemed to be driving a tad fast for conditions but I thought nothing of it. Hes the professional. He goes on to say hes usually a mechanic but was oressed into duty bc of the storm. When we get home my wife is preparing the driveway to accept my vehicle but I see her gesturing that my "bumper" which turned out to be my entire front end, was halr hanging off. Driver acts surprised, bumgees my front end to the engine bay, tells us to call the shop at 9am and that theyll take care of it. So we do. Only to be met with absolute consternation on the phone by whomever answered saying he wasnt driving too fast when of the 2 of us I was the only one in the cab to witness. I was also non confrontational or didnt even really get a chance to counter point his claims as my wife and I were cut off and hung up on. I woukd suggest any of the other tow companies in this area, or even run the risk of frostbite due to being stranded before Id trust this company to actually care for its customers or their property. Were they busy? Sure. That doesnt excuse their complete lack of ownership of their own mistake while my property was in their care control and custody or their lack of care of a customers experience. read more

Called for A tow yesterday around 2:50 waited there for 40 minutes nobody came so we left the keys in the car Like they said to and left. Called at 3:30 asked about how long they said 20 minutes that they were in between shift change so they hadn't sent anyone out yet. called at 5:25 and asked if my car had been picked up they told me the guy is about 15 minutes from it. I got a call about an hour later from the guy who was picking up my car he told me he couldn't find it even though I told them exactly where it was. called him half an hour later said he found it and was loading it to take it to the dealership for me. I called the dealership this morning it was there but they didn't drop the keys in the box they wrote on a paper keys are somewhere in the car. Not happy with this service at all. Will not use them again. read more

I had a very positive experience today. I got stuck in the snow on my way to a funeral and was very frustrated. A driver got to me within 5 minutes and towed me out after another five. Jimmies showed up when no other towIng company would tow from Okemos to Jackson. So Jimmies came from Jackson to Okemos and took our AAA insurance. All of the other local tows refused to take our service and Jimmie's did not mind. However, he did not lift the bed as he was bringing the car up onto the bed and dragged the grille along the ground making us question whether the grille or fender was stilll ok......... we will have our mechanic double check that too along with the transmission. read more

On Friday, May 11, after a full work day, I walked to my car in the pouring rain to discover I had locked my keys in my car. After several attempts to unlock the door and retrieve said keys by using a coat hanger, I was desperate and called Jimmie's. They quoted me an extremely reasonable price and said they'd have someone to me in a half an hour. (It was 6 pm on a Friday!) We had an unexpected tire blow out on our 5th wheel on a hot Friday evening on I 94. Called AAA and were told someone would get back to us. The first caller (NOT from Jimmies) asked if we had a jack and when we said we didn't,he said maybe we could use wood!!! About 10 minutes later Leonard drives up in a large tow truck with a lift and a compressor. He said he heard the call and called AAA and told them he would take the call! As far as a towing service, I have no problem with them. When it comes to the auto repair part, in terms of communicating with the customer and speed of service, they are lacking. I just had one of my vehicles there for service, and it sat there for three days with no telling when it was going to actually get in the shop. It is time for me to look elsewhere. read more

I highly recommend these guys to anyone who needs their service near Jackson. They were very helpful and had great customer service. We were there for a hockey tournament. Saturday they helped me get my car back to the hotel for a very reasonable rate and helped me to get it going so I didn't have to towed back to Grand Rapids. On Sunday I had to call them back to jump the battery, and they also figured out the antitheft theft system, which was preventing the car from starting. Highest praise for the entire crew that assisted me today. It's Sunday, July 8, and after spending the afternoon at the racetrack, I was taking my son to the train station before returning to Lansing. Right before I got there I ran over something--never figured out what--but both tires on the driver's side quickly went flat. The tow driver came and picked me and the car up and took us back to the shop where they were able to quickly fix both tires and get me back on the road to home. first the driver drove past me to the wrong address. i called and he came back. i had two flats on the passenger side because of an accident. the driver started yelling at me for not telling them about the tires. he said to tow it he needed the spare tire and threw a fit when he had to lift it out of the trunk. next came the throwing of tools around the parking lot. he couldn't pull the tire off and started smashing the spare tire against the tire still on the car. then he had me drive the car to another spot in the lot to make it easier for him to hook up. i drove ahead to jim winter buick to do the paper work to start repair and was directed to the body shop. as i was leaving the tow driver started yelling at me across the parking lot. "where the hell you want this?" i said where ever jim winters wants it. and the yelling started all over again. I have never dealt with anyone so rude and intimidating as this. totally unacceptable. i called a supervisor but though he said he was sorry i doubt this man will be spoken to. read more

I am a single mother of two, who has cancer. I brought my car into jimmies cause the ratings witch should be a one! I have owned my Cadillac for 14ys! I do my own work on it. It had emission problems NOT spenchion! I told them it needs a gas filter cause its rusted to the line and a 02 scencer above the transmission I cant get to or its the coil. Tires flat can they help pump it up. Was told ok sure. The incompetent tow man didnt add air in my tire or put it in neutral before moving it. I am on crutches or id been out there helping! U cant have a caddie in neutral an pull the key out! So tow man broke my tie rod, tire an brake line!! Herd the tie rod snap got out the tow truck pull my key from his pocket! An put in neutral. I saw him! I get a call next day bills at $370ish I need tie rod, alignment, battrie. I told him bout tow man but still yet had to pay for the tie rod. Oh an was told my battries bad they wont warentee a frozen battrie. Mine u I just put it back in my car before they came for it! They love to play women stupied! I went there got battrie bring it back for FREE! So I was pushed aside for two days. Was Told this morning they changed gas filter its running but there is still a miss in it running. I said no shit! Its the 02 scencer or coil! Then I was told it needs brakes it cost $400 more for brake before they can do any thing further. How are they aloud to play ppl like this? So I payed $206 plus 75$ to tow it back home. Just for it to be worse off then it was before I brought it in. And as I was changing my tire my self! On crutches! I notice my bumpers hit some thing pushing it into my wheels so its rubbing on Them! Like are u fucking kidding me! Couldnt even have respect enough to pull it back rite! jimmies is one of these companies that you just wish every company you deal with was the same way. when our car broke coming off the tow truck they took full responsibility straight away - the owner ed even drove out himself 45 miles to pick up the replacement tank and had his mechanic stay after hours to fix my car and have me back on the road! thanks ed! read more
