Super disappointed. I tipped 25% with a single, simple request. I asked that the driver bring the bag up one set of stairs (12 steps) and set it down anywhere, I'd grab it from there. As an able bodied person, this takes somewhere between 2 and 2.5 seconds to accomplish. I tipped almost $10 on a $14 order and all for this small favor. Which, as one of Jimmy John's handicapped customers, really ends up being a GIANT favor! It's the difference between the 20 minutes of excruciating pain it's going to take me to go to the door (where they dropped the bag) and the negligible effort it would have taken the driver. Like I said, super disappointed. As for the sandwiches? I think maybe Jimmy John's has taken a hit from the economy (and COVID, maybe)? HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE! Worlds Greatest Gourmet Sandwich? I got a #12 that was supposed to have turkey, cheese, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, avocado spread, and mayo. I posted the only photo posted so far (#12 and inside of a #12) There was hardly any meat! Never tasted the avocado? Tomato's... Are you kidding me?! I know this place has enough money to add on enough since there were 10 other workers, but then again they were all playing around. Sandwiches are usually fresh, accurate, and delivered quickly from this location. **Personal note: do not prefer to eat in at this location, as the employees listen to music at a deafening level. Only real gripe, minor as it may be, is that they consistently do not cut the sandwich in half if you check the box "Cut in half" for an online order. My most recent order, both myself and the other person checked "Cut in half" and neither of our sandwiches arrived that way. I keep thinking it's something else and giving them the benefit of the doubt, but no.. every single time (I've grabbed a sandwich maybe once a month because it's conveniently close), about an hr after, BOOM - running to the toilet. Yes, they are fast and yes they do deliver which is especially nice on rainy and snowy days. The delivery people are always nice but the food is lacking. The last couple of times I have ordered from here there is barely anything on the sandwich. The last one was more bread than anything else. I live away and I ordered my boyfriend the veggie. It comes with Avocado. I also ordered an extra side of avocado for him. Everything was right EXCEPT the sandwich had no avocado on it. One of the main things that's suppose to be on the sandwich was forgotten. read more

I love JJ's and order all of the time. This review is for this location in particular. The following are my two key takeaways that occur from this location on a consistent basis and I'm using a sample if at least 7 or 8 different orders: Good: Fast delivery times and the drivers are always friendly, clean, and super nice. Bad: The bread. The bread at this location is consistently not good. Hard, stiff, and not the normal awesome JJ bread that we get at other JJ locations. THIS is the reason for the 3-star rating as the bread is The most important part. Contacted this location because when I ordered my sandwich I forgot to set a specific time to pick up my order later. So I spoke with a "manager" named Jared. I notified him to see if I could push my order back at a later time because I forgot to set a specific time to pick up my order. From the start he was already rude and basically tried to accuse me of trying to get a free sandwich because my order was already picked up. I tried to explain to him on the phone that my order wasn't picked up and maybe someone accidentally picked up my order. He then proceeded to say that "our pick-up process is 100% error-free...." That's never possible because I worked in fast food for about 2 1/2 years and mistakes were made such as giving the wrong order. I'm thinking this "manager" must be delusional. I was so irritated and angry because I had NEVER stepped foot in this establishment and was ACCUSED of lying and trying to get free food. Then Jared the "manager" proceeded to dismiss me and tell me "I have to go" and hangs up on me. I called again and told him that I would like a refund (I mentioned this in the first phone call because he was so rude and disrespectful). He did not wanna work with me and asked me if I wanted both a refund and a sandwich. I said no, just make me another sandwich (since someone else took my order) or refund me. Again he became rude, nasty, and disrespectful and told me to contact corporate because it was their problem. Out of anger, I did swear at him and hung up because he was so UNPROFESSIONAL AND RUDE. Jimmy Johns on Kirby if this Jared is your manager. He needs to be retrained or fired. A manager doesn't speak to his customers like the way he did to me. When I walked into Jimmy Johns sanwich shop on Mattis and Kirby in Champaign, IL, the staff looked annoyed that a customer had come in. The cashier was cold and rude. The Jerk at the end of the counter slammed my sandwich on the counter top and walked away without saying thank you. After I complained about rude service the staff starting making fun of me for expecting good service in a Jimmy Johns store. I just want to give the staff at this location a HUGE thank you. I let them know that I have a gluten allergy and they went above and beyond to make sure my sandwich was made fresh. They changed their clothes, and put down paper to make sure that my food did not touch the counter. They were so nice about it all and acted like it was no different than any other sandwich. It was by far the best customer service that I recieved since I found out that I have this allergy. I have been searching for great food with great service and this is it.
