Do not eat here. I had ordered and my sandwich took an hour and 15 mins. I had to call the store to get it delivered. The person would not come near my property and was told that I have to come out and get it from the guy in a yellow car. Then my order was supposed to be a Club Lulu with onion, and oregano oil. It had end up being a Beach Club with no lettuce. The sandwich too had barely anything on it and everything look old on it along with the bread had not looked fresh. I had one bite and was disgusting. I had to call the store 5 times for someone to talk to me. When I got someone I was told to wait 5 mins. The whole experience was ridiculous and really frustrating cause I was not cared to be helped at all by the other person on the line. All I had been told was we are really busy. Finally was able to get a manager and get it resolved. I still would and will never never eat here. read more

Sandwich tasted fine but was so poorly constructed I basically had to remake it once it was unwrapped. Service was slow and workers were distracted. I was there nearly ten minutes with only one customer in front of me. Unfortunately for me the other customer had a non-service dog in the store with her which she suggested needed bacon. One employee was continued to give bacon to the dog, one employee apparently doesn't do anything than stand at the cash register and the other came out of the back a few minutes after I placed my order, and somehow it still took five minutes to get my sandwich after he finally hopped on the line. So, i ordered two wraps, 1 sandwich, 3 chips, a whole pickle & hummus. I placed a mobile order, 35 minutes prior to showing up, i walk in let them know i have a mobile order, i stand waiting for 5 minutes and they point to a shelf, i grab it look around, missing an entire sandwich, a two bags of chips & the damn hummus. didn't believe me, so i showed em. and they made the sandwich, actually the crappiest sandwich ive ever had from jimmy john's. Before heading up to Ames, I decided to have Lunch at the Confluence Brewing Company. Actually, that place only serves beer, so I was on my own to bring in some food. I happened to be in East Village and Jimmy John's was a convenient, albeit uninspired choice. Jimmy John's is a good business model. The bread and fixings (in my case a tuna salad and cheese sandwich) are consistently good, with the time between ordering to delivery to be fast and friendly. And at a nice price. Beer goes better with a Jimmy John's sandwich, but you'll need to go elsewhere for that kind of adult beverage. read more

What's not to love about Jimmy Johns (JJs)!?! Fresh sandwiches prepared quickly (doesn't deserve to be labeled as fast food imo), great price, and constant quality. Every JJs I have ever been to always seems to have a similar standard. This JJs in the East Village is the same. I walked in and order a giant sandwich for $5.99 (normal sandwiches are still $4.99). My sandwich was made and wrapped up in less than (3) minutes. Always a good choice for a quick healthier lunch. read more

I was in there about an hour or so before they were closing this past weekend. I bought a sandwich and ended up really needing to use the restroom and they wouldn't let me use the restroom because they had just got done cleaning it. 1.) Why would you clean a restroom an hour or so before you close and 2.) I was a paying customer. 3.) I have Crohn's disease. I had to walk a couple of blocks to a bar just so I could use a bathroom after buying my sandwich. They deserve zero stars and I won't be using this location again even though it's more convenient for me. read more

Just had the worst experience with a sandwich maker. I ordered a beach club, which is supposed to have avocado spread. I went back to the counter to let them know they forgot, politely. The sandwich maker said, "there's avo on it." Oh, my mistake. I went back to look and there clearly is not. I returned and she was super hostile and faked like she was coming back to my table to look and then didn't but told the manager I won't let her look. I really wasn't mad about the mistake. I just wanted a little avocado spread. She said, "what, I'm supposed to put some on my glove and spread it on your sandwich?" I don't know. I don't work there. But I know how not to treat a person, let alone a pretty good customer. I'm sorry your job is stressful and you don't get paid enough. I can't do anything about that. Worst service, laziest drivers who expect a tip but don't want to bring your food to your apartment and instead make you come down then get mad at you if you don't tip , we only live maybe a quarter of a block away and he had to drive. This Jimmy John's franchise is the worst at delivery time and customer service. The first time it took over an hour for delivery 3 blocks away was ridiculous. Got a gift certificate from their corporate office and thought I'd give them a try seeing as they are good sandwiches and they are literally 3 blocks away. This time I had to call and cancel the order after waiting and hour and 25 minutes. No apology just an excuse that they are busy. I was put on hold for another 5 minutes to talk to someone about getting my transaction cancelled and the person on the phone acted like they were annoyed by having to give me a refund. Ordered my sandwich at 1:44pm for delivery. Then went and stood outside waiting for the delivery person as I am 3 blocks away and knew it would be "Freaky Fast".
