I have been seeing some negative reviews in the last, but I wanted to share my consistently positive experiences. I am always greeted when I walk in, and the staff has been consistently friendly during my visits. They seem to genuinely care about customer service. I use the app frequently and rarely have issues with my orders. On the rare occasion something is missed, they fix it quickly without hassle. Parking can be tight near the door during lunch rush since it shares the lot with Starbucks, but I have never had trouble finding a spot within reasonable walking distance. It is a minor inconvenience at worst. The dining area is small and gets busy at lunch, but that is to be expected for a popular sandwich spot in this area. The food is exactly what you'd expect from Jimmy John's--fresh, fast, and freaky good. And of course, free smells! read more

Always wanted to try jimmy John's but it looks like I went to the wrong location because here the employee leather has one of the most horrific customer skills I ever encountered in my life. From the first moment we interacted he attitude was shitty. I ask if they have a roast beef sandwich and she looked at me like I was ignorant or something and said which one. Remember first time here and I answer do u have one that is toasted and then answered yes so she charge me for it. As they were to make my sandwich I asked the employee making it if they could substitute the cheddar for a white cheese which he said they have to charge me extra. Then Leather the employee said with a harsh tone it and extra charge if I wanted to change it. I would have paid the extra charge but the way she came across just made me cancelled my order. Leather said gladly she would cancelled my order and told me never to comeback we don't need people like you. wow just like that. It gets better when she finish voided my order she tossed the receipt to the side and wrote on it cancelled rude customer. I said the reason I didn't tip u was because of your attitude from the beginning , and she shot back I don't need your tip I make 25 dollars and hour. ( wonder why there a tip jar and the machine asks for tips ?). This location left a sour taste for jimmy John's there's more sub places to spend my money. Day trip to lake Travis for my son's track meet. In between events we decided to stop in for a quick bite. Closest thing to the high school was P Terry's and Jimmy John's. Guess which one the Bean picked... Sooo, we stopped into Jimmy's for lunch. Located in a small strip mall, this corner lot location was small and gave a small town feel it was so quiet, even with music pumping through the speakers. That being said, the family loves Jimmy, and Jimmy loves when we come because we eat!! Lol Menu options were, the PePe; Italian night club; Big John; and another PePe. Service was friendly and fast. I've been ordering the same sandwich from this same location for years now, and something was super off today ... my sandwich was like dripping with something thick, sour, and soggy, and I had a horrible gut feeling and had to spit it out. Ordered online using the Jimmy John's app (highly recommend!). Sandwich came out exactly as I ordered it, and food was ready on time. Greeted with hello as I walked in. This location in located in a shopping center so parking can be a bit dicey especially around lunch, but I would definitely order from here again. read more

Great workers with a cheerful attitude that embody the Jimmy John's feel. Groovy music in the background and I always love the #9 Italian with extra mayo and extra tomatoes They have a nice patio outside that is perfect for kids and it has the gorgeous view of the Colorado River valley as you can see for 10 me across to the ridge of the other side of Lake Travis. My complaint is somewhat different. I have been trying over and over for 2 1/2 months to get JJ's management to acknowledge an exceptional employee and have had zero success. Obviously, they care nothing about employee recognition. I've given up and it is sad because this employee did something extraordinary. read more

I think JJ's is very good. The portions have gone down but what's a restaurant to do in the LGB economy. The new caprese sandwich is absolutely delicious. But, it looks nothing like the picture. The picture would be at least a double of everything. That said, it's still very tasty. read more

We have enjoy JJ's sandwiches and speedy service many times in the past. However we had a very strange experience the other evening. One employee took our order and was professional. As we were placing our order a second employee had on gloves and was cleaning the bottom of what looked like a bread rack with a rag and cleaning solution. This same kid then started making our sandwiches. I politely asked him if he was just cleaning and started making our sandwiches. He replied that he "changed his gloves but...nice catch" in a condescending tone. I didn't see him change his gloves but he definitely did not wash his hands. Service is terrible. 90% of the employees are rude. A specific employee on evening of January 31 closed 30 minutes early as we walked up to grab a sandwich for my son after practice. He locked the door as we were walking up and shook his finger at us and said he was shutting down early because he was by himself. $8 Turkey & Cheese Sub I work near this Jimmy John's... (this was the other day) come in here often enough. Nice girl that puts it in one way as a $5 and something sandwich, but just because of the way "I ordered" *this* sandwich, or the way I "said" it- the guy was somehow able to crank it up to **$8**... I'm a fan of JJ's chain and have been for quite a few years. While I wish they would branch out into hot subs (I do enjoy a great meatball marinara), they have stuck to what they do best and their 'Vito' and 'Big John' are magnificent sandwiches. So far I've found this location to have decent customer service and speed. I'm surprised at some of the negative comments on this location, which could be due to a) opening month staff glitches and b) stupid reviewers. Yes, as much as I love Yelp you have to wonder about people who give a place 1 star WITHOUT HAVING EATEN THERE. This place gets a 4 on the 'CTJ Scale' as noted below. 5 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Jesus good. Would be OK passing on after finishing a plate here. 4 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Mary good. We had an unpleasant experience the last time we went in to order. We tried to brush it off and let it go but I felt like this was a situation that management should be made aware of. I called and spoke with the GM and after relaying what happened he was so bothered by the situation and apologized profusely. His apology was so sincere and his disappointment was felt in a way that truly transformed the entire situation. He made it very clear that his vision is to operate a place where everyone can enjoy good food, everyone is welcome and everyone is treated kindly. I will be honest, after leaving I did not want to ever go back to JJ but after our conversation I will absolutely return because I support good business practices and I support those who make changes and care about the impact they have on others! The manner in which a situation is handled says a lot about a business and the way this situation was handled spoke volumes to me. If you had an unpleasant experience I highly recommend giving them a 2nd chance! They are definitely writing their wrongs and changing for the better! read more

Buyer Beware - my husband & I just went and ordered two of their No. 5s which is an Italian Sub. The sandwiches were dry and bland - we couldn't figure out why. Then I realized they forgot the oil vinegar which goes on the sandwhich per their menu. No mayo or mustard comes on it so forgetting the oil & vinegar makes it bad. After figuring it out, I took the sandwhich back in to let them know. The only thing they offered me was a little container of oil & vinegar for what was left. Most places would have made another sandwhich especially since I asked them to. Their prices aren't cheap and my husband tipped them $8. What a rip off! read more

Awful. I have never left a business feeling disrespected the way I left after picking up my order from this location. My family and I are big fans of Jimmy John's and have always had generally positive experiences. I placed a mobile order with for two sandwiches, when I got back to the car I noticed the order was incorrect. When I politely walked back in to have them correct one of the sandwiches I was ignored and every single employee started pointing fingers at who made the order incorrect. As I was getting ready to leave the last employee who took my order said to another employee, "I'll tell you when she leaves." Not a single employee took accountability and I felt as though I was an inconvenience being there. I couldn't believe how it was handled. I decided to call to express this unpleasant experience, only to be treated even worse over the phone. The phone was passed to a guy who said he was "like the assistant manager" I asked for his name and he laughed and said it was Phoenix. He would not disclose anyone else's name and very rudely said I could call back and ask for the manager Nick. I explained how upset I was for the way they handled it and he agreed and said yup yup, then said "are you looking for a sorry? Is that all you care about". I was shocked and knew he clearly wasn't the person I needed to talk to. When I called back the next day he answered again and asked "who is this? nick isn't here you can call back again tomorrow" The entire thing seemed like a joke to them and I'm baffled they allow workers to treat people like this. (3/11/17 -- 5 pm) Good stuff all around! I got my usual, .The J.J. Gargantuan, and just as usual, it was perfection. Fresh veggies, tasty meats, and a perfect amount of homemade Italian dressing. YUMS! My girlfriend got the Turkey Tom with extra mayo, and was just as pleased as i was with the fresh n' tastiness of her choice. i live 3.2 miles away from this location, ordered & paid online, and immediately left to pick it up. Sandwiches were ready when i arrived and the staff was super friendly when i walked in the door. I was back on my way home in under a minute. Fast, easy, and delicious. I usually never opt for delivery unless it's pizza on a Friday night. However, I was short on time and JJ was just down the street so I thought heck I'd might give it a try. I ordered online at 12:29 pm and received my confirmation through my email. I was just about to call in and check on order when I received a call from delivery man "John" ironically so, at 12:50 pm so about 20 minutes after placing my order for delivery within less than a 2 mile radius. I suppose timing could have been better but when I called management to ask about the delay their response was that online orders come in slowly and sometimes are delayed when placed online? I thought for Jimmys reputation I received for being "freaky fast" would have received a better first for my first experience. But unfortunately I will not be coming back. read more

Nothing quite highlights the difference between north and south quite like the speed of the Jimmy Johns sandwich makers. In the Midwest where JJ is from, your sandwich comes to you before you finish paying, in the South/Southwest, it comes to you sometime long after that. Subs are so fast I freak, I'm just super annoyed it is soooooo slow. It isn't hard... Cut bread, scoop mayo, tomatoes, portion cheese, portion meat, lettuce, wrap, throw, done... Should take 10 seconds. They don't even throw them here. WTF? This JJ tends to screw up orders and their delivery area is far smaller than everyone else who delivers in Lakeway. read more
