I give Jimmy Johns 4 stars in general but I give this location 2 stars. A couple of months ago I ordered a Beach Club Sub with sprouts to go. When I got home, I realized my sandwich was missing both turkey and sprouts. My "sandwich" was bread, cheese and vegetables. I called the store to let them know what happened. The staff seemed understanding and credited my account $15. Tonight I went to this location again. I walked into an empty restaurant with two staff members cleaning and blasting rock music. I ordered the Beach Club Sub with sprouts to go. When it was time to pay, I asked the staff member if she could look up the credit on my account. Her colleague had to help her with the computer and commented "oh this credit is from a long time ago". I thought maybe the credit had expired, but it didn't. I'm unsure why that comment was necessary. When I got home I realized my sandwich didn't have sprouts yet again. Maybe the girl didn't hear my order correctly since the music was blasting so loudly. This time I didn't bother to call and complain because I don't want anymore credits added to my account as I won't be coming back. read more

I ordered some food last night but at 803pm I seen on the online menu that there was a tracking system to see where you food is at and after waiting 25 minutes and noticing the tracking isn't doing crap , I called and a manager said that there online system is down which never explain that on the online system or website which is so stupid with all theee Millions they make ! So the manager said he will cancel this and refund me my $17 The next morning around 1023am the doorbell rings and they are NOW delivering food that I don't want nor have a feeling to eat Jimmy Johns and they expect me to pay for this when the manager surely told me he refunded me and canceled the whole thing which was a lie cause they wouldn't of tried to deliver this to me the next day and the person I called and explain what happen and why am I getting this now says there was NO notes in the system at all and no one told him this but also , whining the bell told him to just deliver food that was order the day before and expects to pay $17 for this ?? I am a big sandwich fan (especially for lunch!) and my husband and I love Jimmy John's! (Technically, I give it 3 and the hubby gives it 5 which averages out to 4, so there you go. :] ) Their freshly baked bread is outstanding and the other ingredients are tasty and fresh. Sure it's no gourmet place (it's not a sit down restaurant, what do you expect?), but for a "fast food" style sandwich, I feel they are consistently good and make my sub exactly the way I order it every time. The only reason I gave this TWO stars is for its good location! This Jimmy John's has the worst customer service I have ever experienced at a fast food restaurant. Each time I have been there (again, it's the location), someone has gotten my order wrong. There is nothing wrong with the quality of the food; it's just the way it's prepared. I'm wondering if the sandwich makers even look at the ticket when they get it! If you go, keep a careful eye on your sandwich as it's being prepared. I placed an order online for delivery earlier this month when I was stuck inside due to the blizzard. My order arrived in perfect time, which is crazy considering the fact that the roads were crap (and were only getting worse). I gave the driver an extra tip on top of the tip I already paid online as this guy brought the correct order, on time, and made it to my residence safely! That's dedication right there. Oh yeah, and the driver was pleasant! I don't think I've ever had such great delivery service. JJ's food is always good; one can never go wrong with their food. My wife usually orders several party trays each summer from this location, recently she ordered a 30 piece (mixed Tom turkey/ roast beef & Vito) party tray at a cost of almost $70.00 When we got to our event, I opened the tray and had one of the turkey sandwichs, I found the meat (single slice) was slimy, browning lettuce and paper thin tomatoes. I then checked a couple of the others and found they were basically the same "single" slice of meat. This location always seems to mess up my order whenever getting more than one sandwich. I get Jimmy johns wants to be freaky fast, but slow down take a deep breath and let me finish speaking before you start making my sandwiches. To try and combat this I've resorted to ordering online and picking up in store, that way it's printed and they can actually read as they put together the food. This is my first visit to a JJ's. And I think my last. They weren't that bad. But they were nothing to talk about. The freaky fast was out the window when the cashier sat on the counter and talked to the guy making the sandwich. As for the freaky good part. I'm thinking not. It was nothing short of bland. Did you ever notice how this place is always dead? hmm wonder why So i ordered a turkey tom with chips and a drink .. i got to work the turkey meat was a dark grey and had this slime all over it. There wasnt cheese or the sprouts (which in my opnion make the sandwich) even though i had asked for BOTH. I called there so ANNOYED that i just wasted my lunch time and 8 bucks. The manager basically told me that the turkey was like that because of the preservatives. WAIIIIIIIIT i thought Jimmy Johns was a "gourmet" sandwich "fresh fast tasty" what a joke. So anyways he offered me a new sandwich that they would deliever but honestly at that point i was just grossed out. The manager told me he would leave a note on the regester if i changed my mind. Thats when i started thinking about it .. i literly threw $8 out the window on that other nasty sandwich might as well take advantage of a free one. I came in last night and saw that there was only 2 young girls working. I was actually surprised by their customer service. One was on the phone taking an order, while the other one making a sandwich. According to their online menu the #6 Veggie is supposed to have avocado spread. Not my veggie sandwich,but way overkill on the mayo...yikes!. And why doesn't it have sprouts on it? Now I have never been a picky person, I rarely have any issues with businesses. However, I needed to voice a complaint this time. I went in last week to pick up one of Jimmy Johns yummy beach clubs and this is what happened.... this is my story. When I got to the counter I placed my order and the surly employee by the name of JJ (perhaps jimmy john himself) responded with things I cannot even bare to type out. Lets just put it this way, these words would be better suited for a porno. I politely ignored his advances when he began making my sandwich, He started by removing his clothes which I already found weird but I didn't question his methods. He took the mayo and began applying to his nipples. I found this to be unusual but I am no chef. He then began making love to my bread, which was actually rather beautiful but I was in a hurry and he didn't even take time to skip foreplay. He didn't leave a single tomato/slice of cheese un-caressed. 45 minutes later he finished he was dripping with sweat as was I. He passed me my soaking wet order. When I got home I eagerly tore into my food and this is where this get really disturbing. There was no straw in site. I was so distraught I had to use a tampon applicator just to enjoy my sprite. Which might I add cut my lip and I needed to get 47 stiches. I don't even have health insurance so I had to pay out of pocket which then lead me to be late on my rent. Now my landlord isn't the most understanding man so I was evicted soon after. I currently don't have a place to live and JJ hasn't even offered to help. I mean he doesn't have to move me in but he didn't even offer to get me a motel for a few nights just to sort my life out all over again. Gave it one star because the person taking my order was very pleasant. The guy making my sandwiches, not so much. He didn't even put our sandwiches in a bag. When I asked he pointed to the bag and said it's right there. Have ordered from the Jimmy Johns in Willowbrook for years. Stopped here because we were in the area. Ordered 3 big John sandwiches which cost more because they are supposed to have "more" meat. Well what we got were slims. Any less meat and we would have gotten bread & lettuce. And I know the guy knew what we ordered because he put the right numbers on them. Most people might not notice but because we order from Willowbrook all the time I know the difference. well i have ordered from this location since they opened and it has got to the point now that i will NEVER order from there again. as well as all my friends and family .Lyons is the worst location i have ever seen. i like jj's a lot. just not this one. the last 2 times is took over 30 minutes. so fast i will freak? no really considering i live 560 feet away. literally. this time i called them back and the same guy picked up and acted like he wrote the wrong address. nice try . i have been in there system since they opened. the used to get sandwiches here in 5-7 min. but now 30 plus?also the food quality has gone to crap. thrown together like crap with crappy attitudes. i will just go to mr. subs. it was nice to not have to leave after getting settled in but screw this place . really... don't wast your time, money, or aggravation. read more
