We both get combos for $13.99, which comes with a bag of chips and a fountain drink. I usually get the jalapeno chips. They're great! This location has been here a while and we've gotten take out from the since they opened. They are freakishly fast. As soon as you order your food, they are at your building delivering it. OMG! I've been to this location a few times and the sandwich are phenomenal! Fresh and well made. Yummy yummy to the tummy! I work nearby so it's a short walk to do a local pick-up to avoid waiting for it from delivery. The staff and management are wonderful and friendly. The place is cleaning and well-maintained. Average subs, not the best you'll have, but def not the worst. They are comparable to Subway. I would say one of the reasons I go to Subway more is because they have a lot more options as far as meats, cheeses, veggies, breads, and sauces. This is def not a bad place for a quick lunch. I have always heard the commercials and thought the ads were pretty funny but had never tried their subs myself. I have been working in Downtown and this was conveniently located right downstairs. I have to say that they do have quick service. It is amazing seeing the delivery guys run in and out to grab a bag and jump on their bikes to deliver orders. I was excited to see that they had a customer appreciation day yesterday, offering $1 subs. I read the fine print and sure enough, Unwiches were included! When my husband went to this Jimmy's to pick up our unwiches, they refused to honor the $1 price. He showed them the screenshot (which I will attach) that clearly showed unwiches were included. They said the franchise owner chose not to follow the corporate rules. Really unfair to anyone who can't eat wheat! As a Jimmy's regular, I don't think this is exactly customer appreciation. However, i have a pet peeve with these guys. Every time I order my sandwiches on line, they bring the sandwiches so freaky fast that they forget to read the memo on the order/receipt which clearly states to bring napkins, mustard and mayonnaise. I ordered a veggie sub and found traces of what smelled and (accidentally ending up in my mouth) tasted like bad tuna or sardines on my sandwich. I know mistakes happen but this one happened twice. Sometimes I believe in giving second chances. Maybe I should be a little more strict with this rule when it comes to food. I work in downtown, on the top floor of my building, about 8 or 9 blocks away from their sub shop....still, they always manage to make my sandwich perfectly and get it to my mouth in under 15 minutes. This place is so good and so fast I almost had it every day for lunch one week. Any time I find myself downtown by the Courthouse, I swing by for my favorite sandwich -- the Beach Club with no sprouts. Admittedly, there is nothing special about these sandwiches. I mean it's just a freshly baked baguette with just the right amount crispiness on the outside and softness on the inside. The ingredients are fresh and perfectly placed on the bread so the ingredients stay inside no matter how aggressively I bite into the sandwich. What I love about the sandwiches is the perfect balance of all the ingredients with the bread. mmmm. Do you work downtown and get caught up with your work, only to notice it's 12:30 and you're now STARVING? Stumbled into this place on the way back from the courthouse---where it now occupies the space where the old Checkers used to be. I needed a quick bite, and this place did not disappoint. As soon as you open the doors, you are greated by a series of welcomes-which reminded me of Moe's way of greeting customers. An employee recommend the "Vito" sub, which is a good ol' fashioned Italian sub, made with Genoa salami, provolone, capicola, onion, lettuce tomato and with oil and vinegar. Although the meat is a little on the salty side, the quality is good and certainly tastes better than Subway, but certainly falls short of the some of the local mom & pop sandwhich shops . They have their own brand of kettle cooked chips, which were tasty. This is more of a "grab and go", type of place with limited seating. While waiting for your sub, take a look at the funny, kitschy signs strewn about the restaurant. read more

I called 15 min after ordering wondering where my order was since they are usually so quick. The guy then tells me, "oh, we are about 20 min behind so it should be there soon". These are the questions and comments I kept hearing week after week in the office. This place was the talk of the office, and I couldn't help but wonder what all the hype was about, except I knew for a fact that they DID in fact deliver quickly, as I saw my co-worker get his sandwich in 10 minutes, literally. Since I don't eat bread and they didn't have pita wraps, I decided to try the low-carb Unwich, which are big lettuce leaves, wrapped and stuffed with whatever ingredients you choose from their menu, and I chose the Totally Tuna. It arrived quickly and the price was reasonable. The wrap was moist and delicious with their homemade sauce, cucumber, onion, crisp lettuce leaves, tomatoes, and alfalfa sprouts, which I love. My co-worker got the same thing and loved it, but she was so hungry after eating it that she said she would never again order from there. I was also hungry, I must admit. I could eat 2 or 3 of those wraps, like I do when I get the chicken lettuce wraps at PF Chang's, and maybe that's what I will do in the future, either get a side or a second wrap. I do wish they would expand their menu (hint, hint), and get pita wraps and full-sized salads as well. I think if they offered that in addition to their lettuce wraps and regular sandwiches, they would get a lot more business. This is the reason I did not give them 5 stars, because I like more variety but anything less than 4 stars would be unfair, as my meal was very tasty and left me wanting more. Jimmu John's, how I love and hate you all at the same time. I love the sandwiches here. The french bread is always good. Your only down fall are your prices. Just because you are located in Downtown does not mean you can gouge your prices. For the price I pay for a sandwich, chips, and a drink, I can get a real hot meal. To top it off, you slap on more condiments then actually deli meat or cheese! After I started seeing just how much I spend there, I decided to give it a rest. On a side note, do to their battle with Starbucks next store, I was informed by the manager of Starbucks that he has seen rats at this store. This places annoys me. I hate the people and the atmosphere during lunch. There's yelling and screaming and throwing and all kinds of lost-in-the-jungle activity. I hate it.
