The service was excellent. Going out to eat with an overtired one year old and a five year old can be ... chaotic at best. A little too much "hi I would like a turkey - NO! Do not climb that - sandwich with a - good grief stop licking your brother - regular drink." Conner took it in stride and offered suggestions for what the terrorists, I mean children, may like. Really disappointed to see this location has gone downhill over the last few years. First, I called to see the best place to park(as I usually walk, but it's cold out) and I was essentially laughed at and told I could "try to convince a parking garage to let you park there"...because clearly no one wants to pay for parking for 5 minutes). Then I found street parking. Went inside...a delivery guy at the register(who was super nice but should probably reconsider scratching at his scab on his elbow or playing with his facial hair while getting ready to make food). I did ask him that if he could let whoever was going to make my food to clean their hands/new gloves because of my allergies. He actually wound up making my food because the other employees were just hanging out by the sink or bringing in boxes. One girl had her hair down in her face, wearing a helmet and sunglasses inside... I'm assuming that's where the very long and dark piece of hair in my sandwich came from?). It's really not that hard to make a cold sandwich, so five stars, because they do it right and speedy-fast! I've ordered here once (and they got the order right) and I've gone in during lunch time to order in-person. There's a line almost out the door, full of corporate guys on their lunch break. Even though the line is long, it moves very fast. One guy takes your order and makes your sandwich in seconds. The next thing you know, you're at the register paying, and the sandwich is in your hands. I've tried both the $3 Little John sandwiches and the full-size. The little sandwiches are a great deal, they fill you up just enough, unless you're starving. If i get a regular sized sandwich, I can eat the sandwich over two lunches. For me, personally, it is cost-effective to get a $3 Little John, as it is pretty low in calories. It's cheaper to get two Little Johns on separate days than one (and it will be fresher). read more

This place used to be great. Staff is now rude, and completely fails on the quality side of the food. I had a girl hang up on me and get super rude with me over the phone when my phone service started cutting out a bit. Apparently it's my fault our lovely trees make phone service in the area a tad spotty. My JJ's rewards never actually go through on my orders yet disappear as if they had, every single time I try to use them. When you asked about it, employees become immediately annoyed with your existence and let you know that IT is just not their job! Fair, but at least pretend to try to help a confused customer out? I ordered my Jimmy John's using the app from the downtown Orlando location. The physical location is the same as any other Jimmy John's, but who actually goes INto them? The real appeal of Jimmy John's is the lightning fast delivery by a human on a bike wearing the special Jimmy John shirt. Everyone is always happy to see him/her. As always my delivery was correct, fast, and the delivery person didn't even have to call me to figure out how to get into my apartment complex! Win, win win. My favorite sandwich is the Perfect Italian (Vito). I change the white bread to wheat, add Jimmy mustard, peppers and bean sprouts. It is DELICIOUS! I also tried their new Kickin' Ranch and it's pretty darn good too! Accurate order, super fast, fresh, and yummy - can you really ask for more? Dropped in for a quick lunch. The store was super busy and a lengthy line to order. The line mover fast and the sandwiches were ready just as fast. The restroom was clean and it is gender neutral. The store is located downtown so parking is not an easy task. I ordered the billy club and added avocado. The sandwich was good I just wish they put your moneys worth of avocado on the sandwich. Great place to grab a quick bite to eat late night downtown. They service is always fast and friendly. On the weekends they have the place well staffed so there is never a long wait like other places in the area. Also it is nice that they have inside and outside seating. My favorite thing to get is the California club. I would suggest if your not a fan of mayo, you probably want to just not get any, since i don't think the sandwich builder understands when i ask for light mayo. If you want to share your sandwich i do suggest you ask to get it cut in half. I always forget and have to go back up to the counter. This downtown Orlando location is super fast and accurate with their delivery service. Sometimes I get delivery but mostly I will dine in. For dining in there is both indoor and outdoor seating. Inside seating is a bit crowded at peak (lunch) time and the delivery staff are hopping on and off their bikes to frantically deliver their orders. It's hectic and fast, but not chaotic. I pretty much stick with the Vito Italian sub, it's my go to on the menu. The bread is really fresh with a great flavor and texture. Add hot peppers and extras like cucumber for free too! One caveat about the dining area. I usually sit by the side with the soda fountains. The other side has the restroom which is pretty much right next to some booths and the door opens into the dining area. It pretty unappetizing to smell the bathroom while eating. It's an older building area, so I'm sure they did the best they could with logistics. Don't let this deter you from stopping in, just sit across the way or outside. read more

Not sure if this has become the norm but we won't be ordering anymore :( Update- it seems this location has improved their service and their delivery methods. I initially didn't leave a review because I was so angry but after reading other reviews I see that this is not uncommon at this location. I felt it was discrimination at first for being refused to use the restroom while my friend was going to order. We came from a play that day at the mad cow theater and decided to stop here for dinner. We didn't even get to order the food due to rudeness of staff. Not only was I not allowed to use the restroom I asked what about washing hands and was told by the employee that I could walk behind their counter where they are preparing food to wash my hands at the employee only hand sink which lacked soap from the view I had. We left. I emailed DBPR regarding bathroom laws and emailed corporate regarding the treatment at the location. I did receive an email from corporate that they were reaching out to the franchise owner to contact me. Which has not happened in 3 weeks. A solid Jimmy John's location. I frequent this location about once a week with my co-workers. Located downtown on Central Avenue, this is a pretty good sized Jimmy John's spot with lots of outside seating. When you go inside, you will see tables on both sides and the registers and sandwich-building station together in the middle. I usually order the Big John or the Billy Club (I sure do love roast beef). The cashiers are always friendly, the bike people rush in and out in a fashion that can only be described as organized chaos, and my sandwich is often done almost as soon as I am done paying. Anytime I have had friends order delivery, they always comment about how fast it arrives and how crazy it is that the tasty sandwiches are made so well in such a short amount of time. I seriously considered just writing this review as some kind of creepy obsessive love letter in which I proclaim my love for Jimmy John's and then describe in great detail my shrine hidden in the closet and populated by hair dolls made from fallen hairs of Jimmy John's delivery guys....then I thought that might be best kept to myself. Jimmy John's is consistency defined. No matter which store I have eaten from across the US the result is the same... Sandwich perfection. From the amazingly fresh and delicious bread to their use of high quality meats and toppings Jimmy John's does it right. They have options for those watching their figures and options for those who just don't care anymore and want a sub full cold cuts and BACON! Oregano, avocado, banana peppers are only a few of the options you can get on your sub that stand out from the typical sub joint. Personally I have long been in love with the California Beach Club, I just try no to eat it on workdays because the turkey knocks me out cold. Nothing is more embarrassing that drooling on your keyboard with a little oregano stuck to your teeth. If you want a great sandwich fast, then call Jimmy John's or better yet order online. At least have the common courtesy to call the customer to let them know the additional delay. I called and asked for a refund. Well it was great eating air and breeze during my lunch hour. When i called for a refund the person who is in charge to do the refund seemed to be shocked that the person delivering left an hour ago. I will always love Jimmy Johns. The sandwiches are so delicious and they have a huge variety of them. The bread is always perfect and even if you have a lettuce wrap (same price as a sandwich), it tastes phenomenal. I love the atmosphere and all of the quirky signs and I have yet to experience anyone working at any of the JJ's that I've been to that have an attitude. My favorite is the Beach Club (Turkey, Provolone, Lettuce, Cucumber, Tomato, Sprouts, Mayo and Avocado Spread). YUM. OR the Italian Night Club (#9). That's delicious as well. Their Jimmy Chips are ridiculous, too. Try their Jalapeño Flavor or my fave, the salt and vinegar. Yum. This place never lets me down.
