Plantees is such a vibe! We got a burger, plant style fries, chicken tenders w/ bbq sauce, buffalo chicken sandwich and vanilla Oreo shake. All were good! Really liked the thin patty and soft bun on the burger, and the cheese was nice and melted. The plant style fries are super yummy, even reheated- could do with more sauce imo. The buffalo chicken sandwich was good, I think it would be even better with some plantees sauce. Chicken tenders were good and the bbq sauce was sweet. Came here one day with one of my vegan friends. She comes from a small town, so there aren't a lot of vegan places around for her. So when she came to visit a real city, I brought her around to a few different vegan places, like a tour. We came to Plantees. Ambiance was real cool. I didn't even make it inside before this place had irked me. First off, it's a plant based restaurant that boasts their eco-friendliness. However, they installed a fake grass "lawn" out front as opposed to real grass. Who cares about microplastics really? In addition, I have a service animal that accompanies me everywhere. While standing outside on the "lawn" a staff member decided to come and tell me to get my dog off the "grass" so it doesn't pee, because "people sit there sometimes ". First off, dogs pee on grass everywhere including all the parks that people often sit at. In reality, it's fair to assume that nearly every blade of grass you touch has been urinated on by some animal. It was an uncalled for and honestly rude comment to make to a customer. Who hates dogs? I was craving a late night snack and decided to try Plantees on my way home. The portions felt small esp for prices but it didn't fall short on taste. I was told it is the impossible burger that is seasoned well and pressed down. It came with Vegan bacon bits and vegan cheese equally great additions that enhance the flavor. The smash burger was solid, nothing bad to say there, and they use Impossible patties, so if that's not your thing, this probably isn't your place. The burger might have been one of the best vegan burgers I've ever eaten. The Swiss cheese was delicious and the mushrooms were the perfect addition. It is now one of my top smash burger favs!!! I could tell NO difference. The people were super nice at the register, and pointed me, as a new customer, in the right direction through the menu. It is right next door also to one of my favorite bars, so I loved walking out, getting hungry and just having to cut the corner and it was right there. I finally decided to try this place and pretty happy I did! It's open late on Friday and Saturday for the bar hoppers. I didn't interact with staff at all but my food was ready on the shelf. I ordered the signature burger $10: vegan cheese, grilled onions, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles & plant sauce.....amazing and the plant sauce really took it over the top plus the pickles tasted so fresh (all the veggies did). A side of fries $3: they're shoestring, which I'm not a huge fan of. The fries aren't all that and you don't really get much of them. Last is the strawberry vanilla milkshake $9: it was delicious! It wasn't too sweet but I wish it was thicker, unless they made it too early before I arrive and could've thinned out. I also did enjoy the chunks of strawberries but it does clog your straw lol I'm on the fence about the prices, I did think $13 was decent until I saw the size of everything lol I do however agree with the price of the milkshakes, worth it! The vibes of the place is nice, again I went during technically Saturday at midnight and it was popping. Parking is HORRIBLE though, you'll most likely have to park down the street. read more

i came to plantees late at night as it was the only vegan food in the area that was open late at the time. i had heard of plantees before, but never eaten there because i was not a fan of the prices and it was also not convenient for me. i ordered two (single patty) burgers, plant fries, side nuggets, and 2 milkshakes. they were all delicious, and me and my friend did enjoy the meal. the milkshakes were a bit heavy but the burgers were good and so were the fries! i liked the nuggets but they were not anything too special. my two biggest complaints are related to price and portion size. although i ordered a lot of food, i would usually expect the bill to be a lot less than it was given that the burgers about palm size and the fries came in a fairly small box. additionally, every topping and extra bit seemed to cost even more money. i could see high prices for a premium quality item, but plantees technically just fast food. while it was tasty, i don't really think that the prices are worth it for fast food quality items. so overall, i'd say the taste was good, but the portions and prices would probably motivate me to find somewhere else to eat. read more

We were visiting from Seattle and I have a dairy allergy so vegan places are pretty safe for me to eat. This place was so good! We were only in Florida for two days and we ate here twice. I'm so sad to write this review, but I have to be completely honest! So, upon arrival, the parking was very limited, and it was pretty difficult, even at 3 PM in the afternoon. I thought I had mistakenly gone to White Castle. My bill was $50 and although the burger was full of cheese, I didn't actually taste the actual patty. it was very sad and the fries were cold, even though they had made it from the cash wrap to the outside benches. Afterward, I was pretty disappointed and I was so hungry, so I went and got another burger. I got the regular burger, and that one actually tasted decent, I could taste the patty. It was unfortunately not any better though. The fries came with the ranch sauce. That was absolutely disgusting. There was nothing ranch about it. I just was truly disappointed by the whole situation. I had read the reviews and I was really excited to try this place. The cashier was not very happy about giving me another cup with a lid on it to share my milkshake with my toddler. I did make a comment that for nine dollars, I should be entitled to one more of those cups. Anyhow, this is not a place that I will ever visit ever again. I made a comment about the fries after she came out and asked how everything was when she was cleaning the tables. I love the concept of Plantees but the execution was a bit off. The idea is for everything to be plant based and a visit here has been on my list for a while. I had the chicken nuggets and ordered an oreo shake as well. The nuggets had no flavor and were kind of mushy, meanwhile the texture of the milkshake had a sort of chalky taste. We dined in but were given everything in to go bags which I feel is wasteful. The bathrooms are located on the exterior wall of the building and could have been cleaner. I've been listening to friends rave about this place for years, but before I ever went I found out they only serve impossible patties, which I just don't like. I'm not a big fan of "fake meat" and personally prefer a veggie burger that doesn't try to imitate beef (like a black bean burger, garden burger, or something more creative). Unfortunately, with the surge in popularity of impossible and beyond burgers in recent years, creativity has fallen by the wayside in exchange for this easy solution, so I rarely get to have a burger anywhere but home (love you, Dr. Praegers). Regardless, last week my trivia crew wanted to check this place out after trivia, and since I'd already had dinner I tagged along to try the fries and milkshake. The fries were good, classic fast food style fries and came with a comically tiny dip container (I chose ranch). I would consider stopping in for the fries again if I was passing by and had a craving. The milkshake (vanilla with oreo and cookie butter) was extremely thick, almost pure ice cream consistency, and took a great effort to suck up through the straw. Unfortunately I was disappointed when I finally tasted it because the base is coconut, which I hate. I definitely should have asked (coconut is the only vegan dairy base I can't stand, and I always forget it exists), but I do wish they would notate it on the menu. The coconut taste was too overpowering for me to enjoy the drink, but luckily my wife liked it. (Edit: I've learned that apparently it's not a coconut base, so I'm not sure what exactly I was tasting but I usually enjoy oat milk-based shakes and this one tasted wrong to me.) I think Plantees is trying to simulate a classic fast food experience, and at that I think they excel. What a treasure for anyone vegan/dairy-free! I stumbled upon this restaurant via Instagram and knew I had to go being that I am dairy-free. They have few items on the menu but they do it WELL! It's basically a vegan fast food restaurant however you leave without the sick feeling you get from regular fast food establishments. There is no inside seating but there is a large covered area with many tables outside. You do go inside and order on the iPad's located to the right. There is choices from cheeseburgers, chicken sandwiches, and tenders. Fries and loaded fries. Also, many flavors of milkshakes. A few alcoholic beverages are available too. You even pay at the iPad station. You will wait for your number to get called and retrieve your order from inside. The food is soooo fresh and delicious. I highly recommend getting many of the sauces that are made in house. They are $1 each and worth it. The food is clean, not greasy, and flavorful. Vegan fast food done pretty well. I arrived late in Orlando and this was one of the only vegan-friendly places open at the time, so I decided to give it a try. I got their BBQ Bac'n Burger ($12) and a kale salad ($7.50); the order was ready in less than 10 minutes. The kale salad came in a big portion, over-dressed honestly, with raisins and vegan parmesan -- good way to get your greens, but the dressing was overkill.
