So I order food from this particular location weekly. I order ahead on the app and just pick up, before my 12 hour shift at a hospital. I received a call while driving stating that they don't have anymore French bread. So I ask what kind they have and wheat was an option, and that is what I chose. I walk in and get my bag to see that I don't have an 8" wheat sub, but a 4" wheat sliced bread sandwich! There was no mention of sliced wheat bread. Who doesn't mention that it isn't sub but sliced bread?!!! I called them and told them that it was in poor vocabulary skills to not mention that. First let me preface with I LOVE jimmy johns in general. I used to frequent the one on Perkins at the overpass every chance I got! When I found out there was one opened just 5 minutes from my home I was over the moon excited! I have eaten there at least 10 times now both alone and with a mix of children, friends and family. This review is based mainly on the last 3 visits. The last 3 times I have been I had to wait for someone to acknowledge we walked in. And then essentially ask that they take our order. There is absolutely no wiggle room either when ordering- not even honoring a request for mayo on a kids sandwich! You cannot order anything except as it's written on the menu. I suppose that is meant to keep their wait time short. Which would be great except that's the hang up that lead me to only give 3 stars. The wait was longer than if I had asked my 5 year old to make a sandwich. My party of four all ordered the same thing- the tuna. White bread with tuna, lettuce, tomato. They said the mayo was pre mixed in but I ended up adding some to mine at my house because it was so dry I had to keep drinking between bites. We haven't tried this location for delivery , but while we were there the delivery staff came in and openly complained about how busy she was. It didn't motivate me to give that service a try. I do like that they offer the "unwhich" which is a lettuce wrap with whatever protein you choose. That helps when going low carb. But other than that I couldn't find a perk to convince me to eat there again. For the price but lack of customizable options I would rather fix something at home. Im not opposed to giving the Perkins location one more try though. For old times sake! read more

I'm not at all impressed by this location. I ordered a sandwich online for pickup. I work right around the corner, so I drove over to pick it up. Walked inside to pick it up. One young guy working, frowned at me and asked if I wanted something. Which I thought was a rude way to greet someone. Got my sandwich and left. It was ok. Nothing special. I honestly wouldnt have gone back, but I had reward points to get a free sandwich. So I went back the next day for a different sandwich. Same unhappy worker was there. My sandwich was terrible! Sloppy made. The meat had fatty parts I couldn't eat and I just didn't enjoy it at all. I know many people enjoy it here, but i personally won't be going back. read more

4 *s for the food and the fact that I'm a big time fan of the Unwich...plus I love the overall variety of the offerings and the kosher dill pickles... 2 *s for the speed (or lack thereof) of service... This latest trip confirmed my prior experiences on speed of service and felt it was time to review... What really caught my attention was the shirts worn by the staff "So Fast You'll Freak"...this store should be forced to wear shirts that read "So Slow You'll Sleep"...seriously this location needs to step up the pace With that said they get the orders right, I love the menu offerings and it's closer to my abode than the other JJ's in town...so I'll continue to hit it up, so really, what penalty am I making them pay in order to force them to make me freak...obviously not much of one...but hey maybe they'll read this review... read more

I've been visiting this location for a while now, over the last year or so, and the service has definitely stepped up. I used to have issues every now and then but as of late everything has been perfect. I commented the employees on their great service and they mentioned that they're under new management. I'm glad to hear this because the service has never been slow and I've received exactly what I've ordered every time since. I didn't have any issues with requesting things while my sandwich was being made. I like to have my sandwich cut in half so I can eat the other half at a later time. They never give me any problems doing this. Even when they are already half way done wrapping it and I forget to ask them to cut it. By the time I get my drink my sandwich is already ready for me to pick up and I like knowing that every time I come in I can be back out just as quick. I would recommend coming to this location since it is under new management. They are really getting it together and making the experience hassle-free. read more

This location has the hardest, over cooked bread ever! I eat at JJ's all over and this is the only that constantly gets the orders wrong. I mean come on! You have a set menu... and still manage to put mayo on my sandwich when it does not come with mayo. What a horrible place. Not only do they usually always mess up on my sandwich bc they try and do it so fast but today they were so rude. There is a girl who works here, she is on the line making next to the guy who takes orders. I asked for my sandwich to not be scooped (gasp, this set her off from the beginning) then (get ready) I asked for extra onion. Not sure how that is hard to add but she made it seem like she could not (it was on my receipt to have extra)! She did not put extra (she literally put 4 rings on my sandwich, so I ask if that is mine and she says "yeah". I say, "Can I please have extra onion." She goes in a nasty rude voice, "I already put onion on it." I said, "Yes, but I would like extra, could you please put some more on." I mean is it that hard to do? Like girl do your job and stop giving me attitude bc you cannot put a sandwich together the way a guest asked for it. She looks at the guys on either side of her and the guy who took my order goes, "just put some more on for her". I mean my God it is not like I was asking for an onion sandwich but idk maybe 8 rings compared to 4. She made a big stink about it bad talking me to the guy to her right (the one my sandwich goes to next) saying, "Gross, why does she need so much onion!" I was right there, most would get fired for talking about a guest like that right in front of them. It made me sick that she talks to guests like this and no one working with her (ie a manager) would tell her to be quiet and just do the job she was hired for. They all just put their heads down. If you hate making sandwiches, quit! Your job is not to give paying customers an attitude but to just make their sandwiches the way they want. Idk but it blew me away that she treated me like that when I was nice...now, I am mad. And also next time wear gloves when you touch other peoples food! Never going back here.
