Drove to Rouses while in town on a work trip and I saw this cute little shipping container. I was hungry so decided to check it out. I went with the #3 which is three sliders with waffle fries and a drink. The prices at Smalls are fair. The personnel working the drive thru were efficient and kind. The wait was a little long but not bad. The food itself was great. The sliders tasted good and the waffle fries were also tasty. It was a good meal. Quick and easy, no fuss, no muss. Outdoor seating (great when the weather is good) and drive thru (the line is long - but moves quickly; appears they've taken notes from a chicken place:) ) Not a lot of choices - cheeseburger sliders and waffle fries. Extra bacon, sauce, etc is available, but it's just burgers and fries. Very good burgers and fries at that. If a limited menu helps them focus on doing one thing and doing it well, then it seems to be working. The buns are nice and soft and grilled just a bit. The patties appear hand formed, cooked fresh (no pre-formed, frozen pucks here). All burgers come perfectly dressed with cheese, house sauce ("smauce") and a pickle. Fries are nicely done with a good crisp. Two or three sliders is plenty - equivalent to a standard burger and fry combo. Two doubles with fries would be perfect (that'll be my next order). Four stars - definitely worth coming back for on a regular basis. I save five stars for places that are worth going 20 miles out of my way for, but I would certainly drive past any other burger joint to get to this one. read more

I crawled out from under the rock and gave this place a try for dinner. I don't know whether this is a good thing or a bad thing, and what I mean by that is that I absolutely loved the sliders. Good in that now I'm "in the know" and bad because it won't be good for my waistline. Let's talk about the good: the sliders and the queso. You can tell that these are not frozen patties. Everything from the buns to the pickles to the meat patties tasted super fresh. This is probably why you'll wait a minute. The service was also good--save for the fact that they almost did not give me part of my order. I was fortunate to catch that before we drove off and they were quick to fix it and also apologetic. The queso was rich with flavor and I enjoyed dipping fries in it. I opted to dip rather than have them covered in queso so the fries did not get soggy. You do not get a lot of queso in one order so I recommend getting more than one per order of fries. What's not so good--and this is a personal preference for me--was the fries. I love waffle fries. I love pretty much all fries. Except for seasoned fries. I don't hate them, but I'd much prefer a regular fry that I can add seasoning to myself. If the fries were regular waffle fries I would have rated 5 stars, even overlooking the missed part of the order snafu. The fries just did not stand out to me at all--mediocre at best--but if you like seasoned fries, you're in luck. Fries aside, I'll definitely be back in the future for more sliders! read more

Nothing bothers me more than lazy employees. Arrive at 10:45pm and they said they close at 10:30 when the sign and online clearly states 11pm close time. Rather than closing at 11pm and cleaning they choose to close at 10:30 to start cleaning to leave right at 11. Very disappointing. Traveling on a cross country road trip and this was the late night option for dinner with our immediate arrival in time. Managers need to set better expectations and procedures for employees and daily operations. read more

The burgers were really good. The fries were good too. They have a fixed menu which makes things very stream lined for them. I do wish there was an option to order outside of their fixed boxes so that I didn't have to pay for drinks that I don't want. It's becomes very expensive. For our family it was over $40 which is comparable to boutique burger places like Curbside. There were less than 10 fries per our 2 slider boxes which is very little for the price. Because it's a franchise I'm not sure these details will be resolved. For one person, who drinks soda, it's a great spot. For a family of 5 who drinks water, maybe not. read more

I ordered the #2 combo biggie smalls style with no smauce and no pickles with a fruit punch to drink. The total came out to $10.98 which seemed fair in my opinion. I was the only one in the drive through and waited 5 minutes. I was a little underwhelmed by the fries which I'd heard so much about and had high hopes for but the burger really made up for it. The buns were out of this world soft, the patty was juicy, and the cheese was absolutely perfect. I asked my brother if he wanted anything before I headed to Smalls and he said no but when I got home the burger was just too good not to force him to take a bite and his eyes shot open in amazement. This was my first time home in a while and I'm glad to have a new spot to add to the rotation while I'm here. Not sure if they have indoor seating but the patio area looked like it would be super nice when the weather is cooperating. The employee who took my order as well as the cashier at the window were both nice as well. This place is pretty good the sliders are ok and a perfect size. Not too small I'd say about three is about equivalent to a regular burger. The only drawback is if you don't like pickles. The sliders come with pickles and their own special sauce and you really get those taste of pickles with each bite So if you don't like your burgers with pickles, you may want to reconsider this place. Overall I like the food here and the fries are a good seasoned variety so yes, I would recommend you try it if you haven't already. read more
