Place was absolutely awful!! Showed up with 20 loved ones and teammates to eat after a tournament. When we arrived the worker just sat there and looked at us acting liking they were waiting for us to order. When it came down to it the first person went up and then they had decided they "didn't wanna make" our sandwiches. This was out of pure laziness, these two girls that worked need to be fired. 1) this wasn't at a crazy hour, this was 5:30-6:00pm this is pure rush hour time for restaurants. 2) because we could not eat we were left with a rush and nothing to eat with a 6 hour drive back home. I'm not going to sugarcoat this. I waited 34 minutes for 2 sandwiches on 2/24/23. Ordered, paid...no sandwiches were started. Watched the employee wander around checking on random operations and no other customer came in until about 20 minutes after I ordered. Then about ten minutes in, we were finally told that the bread just was baked and put in the freezer to cool. Yep. Somehow I convinced myself that it was normal (it, however is NOT). I was hungry, and didn't think it'd be that much longer so we waited....and waited. ZERO APOLOGIES and 20-ish minutes later we had mediocre sandwiches handed to us without another word. I must mention...our entire wait was filled with entertainment as another employee shouted out his dismay regarding his shift that night and how fed up he was with everything. My disbelief kept me from saying something or complaining at the time. I've been in many other locations (other states) and this is not the "freaky fast" service I'm used to. It is not that hard to follow a simple request of cutting a sandwich in half. For being on a road trip there is nothing more frustrating than opening your sandwich to see it is not cut in half and how are you supposed to split it up now? Jimmy Johns is great for a cold sub. They have a great variety of already planned subs but you can always create your own. We typically get a JJ gargantuan (this has everything on it!!) And a number 12 (turkey, avacado, Cucumber, mayo, cheese, lettuce). I ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS request to add hot peppers which is free. You can also opt for mustard over mayo. They have dijon mustard. The bread is good! Also the staff always seems to be having fun added enjoying their time at work which I like.. they are always friendly! :) read more

I'm from California and use to Subway and various other chains. I've lived in Missouri almost a year now and only trying Jimmy Johns because they take Apple Pay. I found the sandwich dry and dull. I frequently eat Jimmy John's but rarely at this location. Today, out of conveniece, we stopped at this store only to find their drink machine out of order and a 20 minute wait for French bread. Anyone who goes to Jimmy Johns goes there for that bread. If this were my store I would make it a priority to have everything ready to serve my customers. Awful experience! I come to Springfield regularly. I stay at the SAME location every time I come to town, and I order at Jimmy Johns all across the country. I called this location to place an order today (they had my information on file from my last order), I am promptly told that they don't deliver to a Holiday Inn right off the expressway. I asked "Chad, the Manager" why? His explanation: "We delivered there a few times by accident"! How do you deliver somewhere by accident? For real though! Terrible location, they're posted hours have no correlation to the times they are actually open. The college students they have running it simply close down each night when they run out of weed to smoke in the back and get bored. Incredibly disappointed and dissatisfied. It is sad because I was a long time Jimmy John's employee and fan of the sandwiches, but this location has messed up my order EVERY time I've been in. Either missing something or wrong portions. A hot pepper portion is supposed to be 6-8 and they drop 20, and dont space then out. Today they forgot Dijon on an all freebies sandwich. I recommend going out of your way to a different Jimmy John's if you want an actually satisfying experience. read more

I'm sure the sandwiches were good - I don't know, I live in another city and ordered 3 sandwiches/chips/cookies to be delivered from this location to a friend's family bc she had just had surgery. Anyway. I used a visa gift card when I called, the girl gave me an amount of 28 dollars or something. Then I got a call back about an hour later from them (a different person than I spoke to before). She said they didn't charge me enough, so they had to charge it again (don't know why they didnt just charge the remaining few dollars - dumb). But I didn't have 30+ more dollars on the gift card, so I have them my debit card. Long story short, gift cards cannot be refunded. So when I called the store manager to ask how I would get my first payment back, he said they had already sent out all their charge receipts to a different location, and he would call them and see... Bla bla bla. I called him once more, But they never contacted me again. I ended up paying over $60 for 3 sandwiches. This happened about a year ago. Just got around to writing a review. I wish there were an option for zero stars for today's visit. My wife ordered a sandwich without mayo plus peppers, it took the "employees" 3 tries and nearly 10 minutes to get the order correct. This location should change their slogan to "subs so slow you'll freak." When I asked for a water cup, they were out, after the cashier spent a few minutes frantically searching for the cups finally another employee decided it would be okay for me to have a regular cup. The (I presume) owner was in the kitchen gabbing with the employees and distracting them to where they couldn't do their jobs. While we were finishing our meal another customer came in, ordered, and waited 5 minutes before any of the 4 sandwich makers started to attempt to make his meal. Such a disappointment. I will never return to this location and will tell everyone to avoid. Drive the extra 20 yards and go to the Subway across the lot, you'll be glad you did. read more
