I'm from out of town and have come to this McDonald's twice during my stay. This is hands-down the worst McDonald's I've ever experienced anywhere. I rarely write reviews. The dual drive thru lines are slow and inefficient. You're always told to wait for long periods of time before being helped. My first time through, I thought my long wait was a result of not using the app to order ahead. So I used the app the second time and it was just as bad. The wait in line after the drive thru speakers was terribly long. I've personally witnessed three cars leave the line during this visit alone because the wait was so long. (I'm typing this from the proximity of the first window). The last time I came through, they got my order wrong after at least a 20-minute wait. I haven't received my food yet this time, so that's yet to be seen. When I mentioned my first experience to the person whom I'm visiting, he said this is the absolute worst McDonald's location in the area. He believed it came under new management recently and they fired all the experienced employees and haven't cared enough to properly train the new ones. Whether or not this is true, it is VERY apparent the ownership does not care about the customer experience at this store. This is AWFUL. My car hasn't moved the entire time I've typed this review. I got here at exactly 10:30 and it is now 10:51. Update: it's now 10:54 and I'm finally at the second window. I've been in line for 24 minutes and my order is not ready. And I ordered ahead on the app! The worker at the window is kind...I've never met a rude or unprofessional employee here...it's just so clear that the system is broken and not being fixed!! I worked in fast food in high school. Under proper management and ownership, employees are properly trained to ensure the customer experience is nothing like this. I dreaded having to return to this location this morning after my first experience, and this second one is certainly worse than the first. 10:58 is when I was finally handed my food. 28 minutes in a drive thru is not acceptable. My order was correct this time, so that is a relief. I truly don't understand how a fast food restaurant can be run this inefficiently. Ownership/management NEEDS TO DO SOMETHING. We got our order and we were missing one of the sandwiches, along with our two fountain drinks. So we go up to the counter and they gave us the sandwich and drinks. News flash, they gave us the wrong sandwich and they also gave me an apple pie (mind you, it was cold when I bit into it), when I had ordered the holiday pie. Went to the Drive thru after ordering on my app at 10:18am this morning. as I sat at the drive thru out lane, 4 Cars had their orders taken, at this point it was 10:29am with no response from the Order taker. At 10:30am the Order taker asked if I used the app and I gave the code. The response was I am sorry we are no longer serving Breakfast. I explained that I ordered at 10:18 from the app and then watched as 4 cars went thru but they did not respond to the other drive thru and the response was too bad. I think the Management needs to be changed (Fire them). I will never go to this McDonalds again and I will share my experience with others. read more

I don't normally come to t his particular store due to all the riff raff (if you know what i mean) that hangs out here inside and out. The one on Kearney is much closer to me and always managed better than this place. The reason I didn't go to that one this time is because Kearney was crazy busy due to some event going on and bucco people hanging out with the insides of all the businesses full of people. So screw it I'll just go to the Kansas location. Beyond my better judgment. Besides all the idiots hanging around, there was the food issue. Cold Big Mac. Both the buns and burgers. Fries limp and cold. One tiny dollop of tarter sauce on double fillet o fish sandwich. The management of this place clearly doesn't give a crap. If you must go to to McDonald's skip this one and head to Kearney or even the one on Glenstone just south of Kearney. My daughter & I go to N Kansas Expressway Mcdonalds in Springfield at 10:30 p.m. 7-19-24. There is a man obviously very cracked out on drugs. At first he was outside the establishment. I didn't get out of the car for a few minutes. He was inside by the time I went inside. He was making vulgar, lewd noises. I reported this to the crew member. There was only 2 customers behind me. She said she was too busy & she wasn't the one to talk to about that. I was brushed aside. Unfortunately as a result, the 12 year old girl behind me & her mother were exposed to his vulgarity too. Wrong food. Long wait. Incompetent staff. No one knew what they were doing and the manager didn't seem to care. Glad I checked my sandwich before I left. Full of lettuce (didn't want any), no cheese, & no tomato. Manager takes to sandwich back and instead of making a new sandwich correctly, he just scraped the lettuce off, slapped a piece of cheese on it and told me they were out of tomato. Chicken was cold and hard as a rock. Fries were cold and oversalted. Out of diet Dr. Pepper because someone broke it. If I could give this location a zero, I would. I came through on June 26th and I ordered two fries and one cone. Initially they were rude and had terrible tone. We got our food, the fries were cold to the touch and stale and my cone had barely ANY ice cream on it. I expected the store to be clean or at least high touch areas would be clean. Obviously, this location is not serious about following COVID sanitation practices to protect guests. At 7:00 AM, the glass doors are filthy with handprints and grime. I have been there twice this week. The first time was just that they got my order wrong. I ordered a Sausage McGriddle and received an Egg McMuffin. I know accidents happen. However, the second time there was a horrible experience. I pulled up to the drive thru menu board. Decided to try something different. It offered "Homestyle Breakfasts" with an option for Biscuits & Gravy for $5.19. So I asked "what comes with the biscuits and gravy homestyle meal." The voice replied "hashbrowns and a drink." I said "I will take that with an orange juice." They replied "please pull forward and we will have your total at the window." When I pulled forward, the cashier said your total is $10.78. I said she must have the wrong order. She verified my order and then repeated the total. She said there was a "orange juice upcharge." I said I was expecting some kind of an upcharge, but not almost $5 for a single orange juice. I would like to speak with the manager. The first manager who came to the window verified the order then said that the base price was not $5.19 but $6.50 the rest was upcharge and tax. Well, that is still ridiculous for an orange juice upcharge, but my main irritation at that point was that they were not honoring the price on the menu board. She said well....."inflation." I said well you should update your menu board because that is false advertising and its illegal. She then went to get the more senior manager. I repeated my issue with the more senior manager and her reply was "well do you want it for that price or not?" I said I would pay the menu board price but if they wouldnt honor the $5.19 base price then I wasnt going to give them my business. She said NO and I departed. Very frustrated.....yes they can "upcharge" a rediculous amount if they want, but they should be showing the right price on the DIGITAL menu board. If the price is $6.50 then the menu should say $6.50 not $5.19......I'm sure thats not the only item they are overcharging for. read more

I have McDonald's cravings every now-and-then, who doesn't? I hit this place up because it's one of the few fast food joints close to my mom's house. Of the times I have gone here, the service has been fast and I've never really had to wait too long to get my food (from either the drive through or by walking inside). This particular McDonald's is well maintained and clean. Plus, if it's warm enough outside, there are a couple of tables outside from which you can eat. I I stopped by McDonald's just wanting to pick up a couple of coffees this evening so we can get our Christmas presents wrapped. I ordered two medium coffee's one ice 1 hot. The girl who took my order put it in and I noticed that she put in the wrong coffee so I corrected her she put the coffee back in but had one as a small. I told her again that I needed 2 medium coffee and she said oh okay and then took it off and put it back in as a small again. I repeated can you please make that one a medium coffee and she said oh yeah I'll make sure that's right go ahead and come around to the first window to pay. At the first window she took my card. Before running my card I confirmed with her that they were both medium coffees and she said yes they are both medium. At the second window sure enough they hand out the coffees and one of them is a small. I told her that they were both supposed to be medium and she apologized and asked me to pull around to the first waiting spot. Up to this point although a little irritated I was perfectly satisfied with the service. Let's be honest, these are kids working their first job mistakes are going to happen. But this is where it turned into a real problem for me. After waiting what seemed like 5 to 10 minutes the young girl walked out with a small coffee in her hand. I told her that it was supposed to be a medium and that's why I was waiting and she apologized and walked back inside. A few minutes later she came back out with a small coffee again and told me that her manager informed her we only paid for small and that's all we're going to get. I informed her that I had clearly requested medium and even verified that it was medium coffee at the first window and that I wanted medium coffee even if I have to pay the difference. She walked back inside and this time I followed her inside because I figured for sure that the manager was going to throw a big fit and make me pay the difference since obviously this manager was a total crybaby. BOY WAS SHE!! I was walking several seconds behind the girl who entered McDonald's so the manager didn't realize I was in earshot when she begin to outloud announce how out-of-control I was acting so that all the customers and employees could hear it. She made sure that everyone understood I paid for a small coffee and was looking for a handout. NOW I'M PISSED. I went through the scenario in a few short sentences and explained to her that the lady at the first window made mistakes multiple times on clarifying that it was supposed to be medium coffee and that I frankly didn't give a damn if I had to pay a dollar to get me a medium coffee. But only to make McDonald's look even worse she argued with me yet again and stated that I paid for a small so I would be getting a small. I mean REALLY!!! This time my anger took over and I told her to either get me a medium coffee or I'll bring them both back and get my money back I don't care. After a grudge stair she finally informed one of her minions to get me a medium coffee and stormed off to the back. Over the years I have learned McDonald's is a place that you simply don't go unless your life depends on it because you can't expect anything more than terrible extremely unhealthy food and extraordinary incompetence. I am an operations manager for a living which by the way means I make an extremely good living and can afford a cup of coffee. But as a manager I can also tell you that your team only performs as good as you make them perform. In fact they never perform as good as you want them to they always fall short of goals so you have to set very high goals and push hard for people to reach those goals. I can tell you without a doubt that McDonald's has to be the most disorganized insane business in the industry. Can you believe these people want $15 an hour? I went through the drive through & ordered a medium French fry. When I pulled up to the window to get the fries, I asked for a few ketchups. Two minutes later, she came back & said there was no ketchup packets up here, & I would have to pull over to parking spot #3 and they would bring me some ketchup. Seriously? They expect you to pull over and wait for KETCHUP? There were already two cars pulled over waiting for their orders, & the car in front of me was asked to pull up & wait also. With McDonalds you always have the minimum expectation that you will get consistency.When there is exceptional service it blows you away. The workers at the drive thru were friendly and courteous. However, my spouse opened her cheeseburger ready to take a bite and...the burger was missing. It was just two pieces of bread with cheese.
