Frequent patron of this location for an easy lunch to bring back to the office. I just wish it were a bit better. I did increase my rating from 2 to 3 stars, and I have seen improvement over my years of visiting. But still has more room to improve. I order the same thing basically every single time (thanks to the "order it again" feature on the JJ app) so it's remarkable how much inconsistency there can be in what I actually get. Compared to other locations, sandwiches are generally pretty skimpy with ingredients, and sometimes missing them altogether. This time, my avocado spread was missing. Another time, I think I got three tomatoes on the entire sandwich. I appreciate the people working here for being quick, but if it means quality suffers, maybe just slow down a tiny bit and put some more care into what you're making for customers. I love Jimmy Johns and order frequently. I decided to order delivery today even though I usually come to the store because I had a busy work day. I know it was lunch time and that sometimes it takes a bit but my countless past experiences have always been straight forward, easy and relatively quick. When normal busy related errors occur I do not mind at all but this was very different:( I left instructions for drop off and I live only blocks from the location I placed delivery with. Forty minutes passed and no updates. I figured perhaps it was very busy or something went wrong so I waited, distracted from my work because I have to plan out when to meet someone at this apartment due to its busy location without an easy place to pull up. I called after waiting several more minutes. they wouldn't give me an eta and told me that they missed taking out my order several minutes ago when the other deliveries were taken out and that they were waiting for the next Delivery person to arrive at one (it was already one) to pick up my order and that once they left my order would be the first one dropped off. Another 50 minutes later my sandwich arrived. It's slimy and very warm from clearly having been made a very long time before it was dropped off. I have never had an issue before with Jimmy Johns! Please make this right. This was sadly very frustrating. read more

Manager accused me of "stealing soda" when my friend and I got cups of water. I paid for a cookie so i'm not sure why he was so insistent that we stole from him..? If we wanted soda we would have bought soda but we were on a bike ride and wanted water. he repeated he "knows what carbonation sounds like" and kicked me out of the store. Not sure what the plan here was but sounds like this guy is having a hard time running this store without losing his temper. read more

First time coming here, wanted to grab some food since I was in the area for a show in town. Small location, friendly staff. Ordered in delivery to work for lunch since I was craving a sandwich. Delivery speed was normal, about 30 mins. The ingredients in the sandwich tasted fresh and flavorful, exactly what you expect from jimmy John's. The one downside to this sandwich was the filling. I haven't ordered JJs in a few years so I'm not sure if this is a normal change, but it had significantly less filling than I'm used to from previous orders. This place is SO not freaky fast- always at least an hour - usually closer to 1.5 hours each time i order. If I didn't love Jimmy John's so much I would stop ordering- but I usually try to order about 2 hrs ahead of time. A night filled with questionable advertising.... I called the one on Grand less then a mile from where I live, and they told me this location was the one that was closest to me? Ok, I'll play along. The zoning for delivery on Grand is just ridiculous, but my hangup is with other places so I'll get off my soap box about that. This location was not that fast. I didn't freak like the website said I would due to the allegedly fast delivery. 35 minutes later? Sandwich was good, but a big mess. It was drenched in oil and vinegar which continues to linger on my hands. The dial foam that I have slathered on repeatedly didn't leave me refreshed either like it said it would. I was really disappointed by this location, I don't order Jimmy John's often but when I do I'm usually pretty happy. Today I ordered my lunch early and had it scheduled to deliver at 11:45, I'm always hesitant about ordering for a set time because for some reason it's never noticed. I called the store at 11:45 because my order hadn't arrived yet and on the order tracker it still said that the order had been received, now I know technology isn't always man's best friend so I called the store to see if they had my order just to make sure. I was told (without bothering to look me up to make sure the store had my order) that all the orders were out and that my food would "get there when it gets there" and THEN the guy on the phone hung up on me. During my first visit to Minnesota, I walked by my first Jimmy Johns a few times coming and going from my hotel. Since I had never seen or heard of Jimmy Johns before, I assumed it was a local place and put it on my list to check out during my visit. Only when I looked it up here on Yelp and visited the web site, did I realize this is a chain that has locations near my home. This makes me VERY happy because Jimmy Johns rocks! I ordered the JJ Gargantuan. It's not small. They have a lot of stuff on the menu that looks really good, but this thing is a seriously delicious classic "Italian" type sub that also has roast beef and turkey. I got it with extra capicola and crushed peppers, etc. Even though my hotel is like 40 yards away from Jimmy Johns, I ordered through the web site, which was a good user experience - very intuitive, simple, etc. I set the delivery time for about 90 minutes later. The delivery guy knocked on my hotel door about 3 minutes before the prescribed time, so he got a well deserved, generous gratuity. The sub, which I ordered uncut on French bread, was wrapped nice and tight and it was really well put together, jam packed with meat and, as mentioned previously, absolutely delicious. I also ordered a whole deli pickle, which you can also have halved or quartered. There were no napkins in the bag or my rating would have been five stars... but at least a straw was in the bag! This sub can't be beat. I haven't tried the rest of the menu... yet, but I'm loving Jimmy Johns so far! read more

I called them because they forgot multiple things in my order and they gave me a bag of chips that were already open and stale. Disgusting. The manager sounded disinterested in the fact that they forgot multiple parts of my order and just gave me the same order again for free which I had no problem with. Until an HOUR passed and I still hadn't gotten my "freaky fast" food. An HOUR and I'm literally 3 blocks away from them. How did it take you an hour to get here??? Not only that I told the driver who is a white woman to deliver it to my door as requested (I'm in a high rise and I did not feel very good and did not want to spread anything) and she refused to come up saying verbatim: "I'm not riding elevators. No way. Not with all this COVID stuff going on. I'm not riding any elevators". FIRST IF ALL THIS IS LITERALLY YOUR JOB. So I had to leave my house where I don't know if I have any illness or not just to meet this lazy ass driver at my lobby where SURPRISE SURPRISE she wasn't wearing any mask. The driver who came the day before had no problem coming up to my floor and he was extremely nice. All this just for them to forget the same things AGAIN but add to it the fact that the sandwich was soggy and disgusting. Been waiting for an hour for their freaky fast delivery. I called to get an ETA and the guy who answered simply stated he just got back from doing 6 deliveries and he'll get here as soon as he can. Never asked my name or order number to let me know how far down the list I am. I understand it's Saturday, they must be busy - but staff accordingly! I chose JJ's because I expect to get food faster than a restaurant that delivers via Uber eats or door dash. This store has EXTREMELY long delivery times and is completely unapologetic about it. Makes no effort to apologize or improve as far as I can tell. I occasionally order a sandwich for lunch when I can't get away from work and it has never taken less than an hour to get one delivered. I tried ordering at 10:40am today to beat any rush and my sandwich was delivered at 12:05. I called to check on my order after an hour and was told the driver was at my building and I'd have it in just moments. 15 minutes later I still didn't have it, so I called back and was told it was already delivered (it wasn't). This time, I asked about their delivery times, mentioning their advertising for freaky fast delivery and the employee said they promise to make sandwiches freaky fast, not deliver them fast. It takes mere seconds to google a Jimmy Johns commercial that advertises fast delivery... I always promise myself I won't order from here, but every few months I eventually get desperate for lunch at work and order. Something positive has happened here in the past few months. I order Jimmy's at least once a month, often more and within 30 minutes (or less) our subs arrive. They are very accommodating, I'm vegan and order the veggie sub sans cheese and pile on extra's too and they always get it right. Delivery team is super nice and efficient! Super disappointed with the way they ran the $1 sub promotion today. Normally, I wouldn't gripe about a place giving away cheap food, but if they thought they were attracting new business or rewarding loyal customers, they failed on both fronts. Unlike other franchises, which use the event to show how "freaky fast" they can be, the "sandwich artists" were apparently instructed to work as slowly as possible. They didn't tell people that there were a limited number of subs you could get for $1, they didn't encourage people to have exact change, didn't pass out order forms or menus and only had one cashier working the massive crowd that showed up.
