Check your order because they don't seem to understand or take your order right.

I asked for a #13, it comes without lettuce and tomatoes....i asked for lettuce and tomatoes. Mia asked me twice if I wanted lettuce and tomatoes just to confirm and when I got home it didn't have lettuce and tomatoes. WTH!!!! Make sure you check your food.

Took a screenshot of my proper screenshot take at 1:34 that it was "still out for delivery" and never received any food or notification.

Zero stars if I could! Ordered and saw the tracker received at 11:20 am and then received another updated out for delivery at 11:38 we called multiple times to see what the update was around 12 something said they were very busy and that they only had one driver once it turned 1:34 I took a screenshot, we called again and spoke with Duty Manager Trey, wouldn't give last name, he was speaking over myself and my wife saying that the driver delivered and it's not their fault if the delivery was not received. We were in the kitchen constantly waiting because it's been more than 3 hours. I called one final time because Trey said they were going to void and return my money and that it might take 5-7 days so I asked a simple question to ask the driver what decorations our front door had because we never saw anyone nor did anyone come and knock. Our neighbors have ring cameras and no one came by, I told Trey the problem is accountability no one is being held for it or communicating it to the customer. Instead it's just lies and rudeness talking over the customer. This is unacceptable and quiet sad that freaky fast is actually 3 hours and never received the order yet saying it's the customers fault!! Are you serious Trey, is that how people are getting treated???Unbelievable!

The sandwiches are definitely over-priced and not very good. It's an okay sandwich for lunch when you're in a pinch or if you're on a road trip. But, much, much better sandwich shops around for better prices without a doubt. GANDOLFOS is by far superb compared to JJ's.

This was my low carb, lettuce wrapped sandwich.

Horrible customer service. I've never wrote bad reviews, but I had to say something after speaking with the manager Miguel. My 5 yr old was sick, so instead of driving over- like we do every week, we had delivery for the first time. One of the sandwiches was supposed to be an Un-Which (lettuce wrapped) because I follow a ketogenic lifestyle. but, once the sandwich arrived, it was in a french bread roll and tasted SOOOOO STRONGLY of onions which I requested none. My husband said his was SUPER HEAVY onions which he did not request, as well. I called and literally VERY GENTLY let them know what happened and they put me on hold and said lemme put a manager on. Miguel got on the phone and said immediately is the sandwich still there. Of course it is. I told him yes, one single bite taken. It was inedible with the strong onion. He asked THREE times if I was sure the sandwich was still here! Like I was lying! At that point, I didn't even want a sandwich delivered due to his customer service. And he said to me, I've been here 7 years and haven't spit in a customers sandwich once. Like what???? Nah, thanks I'm good. We go there weekly, and will NEVER be back. Attached picture is after me picking the onion flavored meat out to eat.

    Hairy sandwich

Another bad review for this location. I never got any response the last time that I reviewed this place because there were hairs in my sand which. It's been a long time, just paid about $9.00 for a club tuna but there wasn't a lot of tuna going on. I just ate six inches of bread and cheese. This location still sucks, no one here seems to care and that's the bottom line. Keep pinching your pennies for my few bites of tuna that would've bankrupted your store.

Oh Jimmy Johns you know I love your fresh bread and when I'm at work and forgot my lunch and craving a sandwich, I just call you and you bring me one, I like our relationship, it's been going good, but last few times you have failed me and left me a little sad Today I called and ask you for a #12 with no tomatoes (coworker heard great things about and wanted to give you a try) and a #11 with extra Dijon & all the freebies and while the #12 turned out perfect, the 11 was lacking any Dijon and no hot peppers. It was still a great sandwich, just wasn't quite the perfect one. But my coworker did enjoy her #12. Let's try to mend this relationship the next time I call........

How could I NOT have reviewed JJ's yet?! I freaking LOVE this place! I originally popped my proverbial Jimmy John's cherry in St Louis, then was able to enjoy them yet again in Chanhassen, MN...then Brookfield, WI...but why oh why didn't the Phoenix area have it?!? Why did I need to jump a plane to get my Jimmy John's fix?!? Then, thank GOD, I was driving along Elliot and stumbled upon them!! They've now opened a slew of them throughout the East Valley-primarily in Tempe near ASU, go figure. If you've never been before, there's a couple different sizes...slims ($3.50), 8" subs ($4.50), and GIANT club sandwiches ($5.50). Then, in a category all to itself, the JJ Gargantuan ($7.50). These guys know how to make a sub...and fast! (Their slogan is Subs so fast you'll freak!) Everything is super fresh, not like Subway with their day old tomatoes and wilted lettuce (bleck!). JJ's does it different-they give you the option to make your sandwich an 'unwich'-basically what you order in a lettuce wrap for all you carb-aphobics out there. I've ordered quite a few different subs and all have exceeded my expectations-my FAVES are the #5 Vito and the #9 Italian Night Club both with hot peppers! These guys cater AND deliver. If you're in the area, definitely give this place a try-they dont disappoint!

STOP WHAT YOU'RE DOING AND READ THIS--Portillo's at 7200 W Ray Rd in Chandler Has Just Redefined…read more"Heaven on a Plate" with the BIG BEEF DIPPED and That CHEESE SAUCE... OMG! I've had Italian Beef before. I've loved Italian Beef before. But nothing--NOTHING--prepared me for the transcendent, jaw-dropping, flavor-explosion experience that is ordering the Big Beef DIPPED at this Chandler location. If you haven't done it yet, you haven't lived. And if you've had it elsewhere but haven't had it here with their cheese sauce... well, buckle up, because you're about to discover your new favorite thing on the entire planet. From the second you walk into Portillo's on Ray Road, you can smell the magic--crisp sport peppers, rich au jus, and that unmistakable aroma of slow-roasted beef that makes your stomach growl instantly. But the real moment of truth comes when you look that server in the eye and say: "I'll take the Big Beef, DIPPED, LOADED with cheese sauce. And I mean loaded." Watch their face light up--they know. They understand. This is not just a sandwich; it's a ritual, and this location performs it with reverence. Then it arrives. Oh. My. Goodness. The bread is drenched--and I mean perfectly, gloriously drenched--in that deep, savory au jus, so every inch is saturated with rich, beefy flavor. It's not soggy; it's luscious. It's a sponge for joy. And then... the cheese sauce. Sweet, spicy, velvety, liquid gold--it's like someone took pepper jack, dreams, and a touch of heaven and whipped it into a creamy, molten ribbon that cascades over every millimeter of that dipped bread and tender, shreddy beef. The first bite is not just a meal--it's a religious experience. The crunch of the giardiniera, the pop of a sport pepper, the warm, juicy beef, the cheese sauce pulling in golden strands... it's an OMG moment so intense you might actually forget your own name for a second. You'll hear yourself making sounds you didn't know you could make. You might cry a little (happy tears). You might order a second one before you've even finished the first. And here's the thing--the Chandler location executes this with flawless, almost artistic precision. The line moves fast, the staff is smiling, and they don't skimp. They don't hold back on the beef, they don't drizzle the cheese sauce like it's an afterthought--they PILE IT ON with pride. You can tell this team lives for these moments. They're not just serving food; they're delivering pure, unadulterated happiness. Even the atmosphere feels electric--like everyone in the room knows they're about to have their day made. You'll see strangers nodding at each other in mutual respect over their sandwiches. You'll hear "OMG!" echoed across the dining room (seriously). And when you finish that Big Beef Dipped--cheese sauce glistening on every corner, not a drop of au jus left--you'll sit back with a food coma smile so wide it hurts, already plotting your next visit. Bottom line: If you are within 50 miles of 7200 W Ray Rd, you have no excuse. Go. Right now. Order the Big Beef DIPPED with EXTRA cheese sauce. Thank me later. And maybe bring a napkin--because that cheese sauce is so good, you're going to want to lick every last drop off your fingers. Five stars? Try FIVE OUT OF FIVE STARS PLUS A STANDING OVATION! This is the best sandwich I've ever had in my life, and I'm pretty sure it's illegal to be this good.

Grilled chicken is an add-on, which I paid for, so that was frustrating. I got back in line to fix it. The remake came with no chicken and no blue cheese, but I'd already put dressing on the first one and could see where someone had picked the blue cheese out. Still no chicken either time. Today I tried the drive-thru. No one was taking orders at the speaker. After about five minutes I pulled up to the window and waited another five. Nobody came out or acknowledged me, so I left. I get why other Portillo's locations have lines around the block and this one doesn't. It feels mismanaged and like the staff just doesn't care. Shorter, review-site friendly version Two bad visits in a row at this Portillo's. 1. Ordered a chopped salad with grilled chicken, no blue cheese. Got blue cheese, no chicken. The remake had no blue cheese but still no chicken, and you could tell the cheese had been picked out of the original. 2. Drive-thru today: no one at the speaker for 5 minutes. Pulled to the window, waited another 5 minutes. No response, so I left. Other Portillo's are packed for a reason. This location seems mismanaged and understaffed.

In fact, I'm pleasantly surprised by their growing menu and their willingness to better themselves by listening to Yelp feedback. You can really feel the spirit of home-cooking and the cozy atmosphere of a locally owned restaurant here. In the best way possible, service hasn't changed - it's still the same friendly owner greeting you with a smile and overall cheerful attitude. You can tell that they are actively growing as a restaurant and I can't help but want to cheer them on! Today, I had their banh mi pho with a side of Chinese donuts to dip into the pho broth. Absolutely delicious and great concept. My constructive feedback is if they can dial in their pho broth (which I already enjoy) to have more in-depth bone broth/spice flavor and less reliance on maybe the salty aspect. The restaurant and outdoor entertainment complex is huge and has a really fun, energetic vibe. According to the bartender, they have ping-pong, pickleball, and a big upstairs outdoor patio with amazing views of Tempe and the surrounding area. Azbel was a great server. I had the bistro steak and fries and the Szechuan lettuce wraps, and both were really good. Portions were generous. The Service was "electric" for us as we were celebrating a birthday at the table during lunch. It was too Hot for us to do pickleball, but they do have a fully shaded area that had people playing outside ~105 degrees. As for the food, we had the Fish & Chips with a Mahi Mahi Slaw & Fries, the Ahi Poke Tacos which come in Wonton shells. Hot Honey and Sausage Pizza was great. The Barbacoa Nachos had all the right ingredients & the Double Smash Burger had only some "fancy sauce" on the plate. The Tempura Green Bean, can't remember who ordered, but were good with the chipotle ranch sauce. With me, I'm all about the cocktails, so I treated myself to both the Froze Margarita & the Chi Chi. They call them spiked slushes, I call them "heaven sent" during the Arizona Summer. All of the food was a hit for the table and my family understood why I suggested EP for lunch! I said our Server was "electric" and that's because they made our experience very enjoyable. It was appreciated and I will return again for lunch and pickleball (in the evenings) during the hot summer!
